So when was their ever an invasion of Australia (except the attempt by the Japanese in the early 1940's)? The REAL FACT is that Australia was settled. Invasion means using weapons to take over land.
And it is EXTREMELY offensive and unfactual to call it an "invasion".
Whats truly offensive is the extent of your unawareness of your own country's history.
At least get your facts right: the First Fleet arrived with 247 Marines = ie: an army with weapons.
This might be hard for you to accept but if you educate yrself you'll realise that it was precisely through the might of the gun that Aboriginal land was invaded and stolen.
dw surroundsound... this guy's comment is so pathetically wrong in so many ways that i dont think anyone has even bothered to respond...
Not having "developed" the land means they didnt fuck it up and exploit it - who did that hey?. They took care of it and it was sacred to them; and the land supported them for tens of thousands of years. THAT is their claim to the land.

These abo's are racists. They promote division in Australia. They had no claim of right to this nation. They are nomadic and did nothing to develop this land.
In anger, I clicked the wrong thumb. Please, everyone, help vote this comment down and off the rank. Sorry for accidentally voting it up, of course I do not support this view in any way.

The land is not fucked up. Look at how prosperous Australia is. Pull your head out of the sand and travel to ANY aboriginal community and you will see how hopeless the situation is. I object to the continual racist comments by aboriginals and sympathisers. they should be thanking us for what they have!
This is awesome. good to see you guys fighting for your rights and not giving up, no matter what, make sure future generations never stop fighting until it's put right...
Exactly Uncle! We are never going to give up or go away. Some non Indigenous Australians seemingly have the opinion if we uplift our circumstance in Australian society and join them in there western interpretation of "success". We will forget about injustices of the past. Should we achieve a standard of success of the average non Indigenous Australian. It will only strengthen our resolve, because we'll be more confident of our human rights and their failure to recognise the those rights!
