@omarmokhtar46 its illegal at the levels around 12-14 after that now you can have your back foot off the rubber .... umps were getting tired of fighting the teams on all the stipulations .... I like more challenging for the batter ..its really hard to hit to begin with but meh as long as the game is still being played .

There is plenty of hitting and fielding in men's fastpitch softball.

i think hitting in fastpitch would be harder than that of baseball... it also has a lot to do with what your used to... some people are just adapted to hitting risers from a closer distance... my other point is that overall, fastpitch softball is just a boring sport in my opinion... no one ever hits the ball... the fences are shorter, and it's just not as interesting as baseball in my personal opinion... it seems to be a game between the pitcher, catcher, and the batter swinging and missing.

Pitching regulations are different for men's fastpitch.

Rule 6 Section 1-E-1: (Men's Only) If the pitcher desides to pitch with the non-pivot foot to the rear and off the pitching plate, a backward step may be taken........the pivot foot must remain in contact with the pitching plate at all times before the forward step.

well at that age there usally isnt baseball teams stablished. in my town there is alot of softball teams for older men because softball was orinated by men to by the way.

dude, everyone always says the hardest thing to do in sports is hitting a 90 mph fastball in baseball. not even close. The hardest thing to do in sports is to hit a hard riseball in fastpitch. Having played baseball through the college level, i prefer fastpitch. It is harder and a much quicker game. u think ur a man? step into the box against one of these top pitchers, they will make you look like a little bitch.
