soundwolf6 Top clip!! but why say that fish is 256kg iv done plenty of tuna fishing and that would be lucky to be 120kg max! i mean shit man, for it to weigh 256kg or 563.2 pounds!!, it would be at least 8 foot long. and for one man to single handedly bring it aboard with 1 little gaff!!!!! sure you might have the amatures fooled but not the pro!! that thing was about 5 and a half foot long doesn't look much bigger than an 84 kg yellowfin tuna that i caught off bermagui a decade back!!

Nice giant and that fish was ony half grown. 50+ years ago you could catch BFT well over 1000 lbs. The stock is so decimated now we might not ever see those #'s again.

Nice footage, the underwater stuff is insane. Broke my heart at 1:03 though, when the line's playing guitar on you its probably not a good time to put on more pressure by leaning back. Any idea what pound test that was? I heard the pinging on all of the catches, but 1:03 was probably the worst.

if only everyone fished like this unfortunatly people have took tuna for granted and you have the big commercial floating factories hoovering everything up off the seabed. We are not fishing at sustainable levels and one day these majestic fish will be wiped out.

However, it's the commercialized big-game fisheries - equipped with on-board landers, long hooks, giant nets and refreegis- that endangers this hunky mackerel not the 'individuals whose main goal is to have fun, not to make money.
