hi i also have this camera, can you help me, i recentley got it and i cant make the picture resolution go full screen like yours is now ^ , it has 2 black slides on either side can you tell me how to make it fullscreen thanks.

@AlexSupraBieber On the back you will see a circle with the picture of a picture camera, videocamera and then both. Move the thing around to where its pointing at the videocamera. If that doesn't do it, go into Menu and go down and click XP.

Thanks for the reply. I saw another video that was just a series of stills taken with this camera; they looked pretty good. I've got an Olympus 2100UZ, which I like, but the zoom is sticking.

I'm curious how this camera would sound if you tried to record from speakers, like a stereo system demo. Most I see on the Internet are horrible. I'm looking for a camera, but I definitely need one that has good sound quality.

I also like that the Canon has the Mics on the front, not the top.

Nice camera, but I'm most impressed by the sound quality. Very crisp and lifelike. The train must have been loud, but I don't really hear any over modulation in the mics or hear the auto-volume level clamping down.

Have you tried taking still pictures with it, and how did they turn out?

I have taken stills with it but the quality is not too good. I'm a semi pro photographer so my standards are higher. I use a Canon Rebel XSi. If your just taking pictures for fun, I bet you would be satisfied with it.

No never done that.

Well, doesn't the FS family have dual-shot mode? It takes a video, then if you hit the snapshot, it takes a photo while recording. It gets recorded too. I like that

I like your new camera and I like where you were set up now the best anyway. I like how you can look east. You can see if a train is coming from the east. You can't do that as good from the Sacramento Amtrak station.
