95% of Argentina's population is white. In Mexico is like 23%(in a country of 110,000 million people...well, you do the math). My whole family is white, some have green eyes, and we are all Mexicans.
We have family who immigrated from europe to argentina in 1900. Last year some distantly related family members from buenos aires visited us, they consider themselves as Argentinians with an european (Czech, Austrian, Italian, French) background. So they are not looking like typical southamerican people, most of them have light skin, blond/brown. But like Alexis there first language is spanish, and they couldn´t speak an european language. And some of them even immigrated to the Us in 1970/80´s
The reality is only one, In Argentina 90% of the population is EUROPEAN and when i say EUROPEAN i mean LOTS of people from Italy, Spain, Germany, France, etc. It is true that there is a big Italian and Spanish presence, butthey didn't mixed with the NATIVES like in the rest of Latin america WHY? because there weren't natives in there, like in the US and Canada therewere just small tribes that were killed. The reality is only one, In Argentina 90% of the population is EUROPEAN and when i say EUROPEAN i mean LOTS of people from Italy, Spain, Germany, France, etc. It is true that there is a big Italian and Spanish presence, butthey didn't mixed with the NATIVES like in the rest of Latin america WHY? because there weren't natives in there, like in the US and Canada therewere just small tribes that were killed. Her mother Nanette nee Dozier is French Mexican. However Argentinans have more variety and bigger population of Europeans while Mexico's Europeans are mostly Spanish, French from the resulting foreign Empires of Spain and Napoleon III's French/Austrian intervention in Mexico.

@halifaxx55 Well, before the Spanish colonization the territory of Argentina was almost deserted, and many of the few people who lived here were killed by the Spanish conquerors, that's why most people here are descendants from European inmigrants. The places where most people have native heritage are the northern provinces (Salta, Formosa, Chaco) because of the inmigration from neighboring countries. But yeah, Buenos Aires has more people with European ancestory than the rest of the country.

We are white but remember that our great grand parents mostly came from Italy, Spain and France. In my case I have German ascendance too but my hair and my eyes are brown :D
