Looking back it's funny to think how Motiv 8 was asked to do remixes for so many Indie bands. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Motiv 8 and his remixes but Eurodance & Indie are not styles you naturally associate together!
Maybe I'm wrong, but I suspect at least half of all Pulp fans hate these remixes.
As I said though, I love them! Another one to check out is Motiv 8's absolutely outstanding remix of Saint Etienne's "He's On The Phone", pure pop brilliance!
reminds me of a pub in darlington full of beer and pills waiting to go to an all nighter of my trolley this tune came on and it set me on a mission to enjoy.. long live 1995 the best year of my life.. spent it all on a trip or coming down off one.. those were the days
wow... not heard this for 12 years. I'd hate this song if it came out now, but it brings back so many memories. This is tough to find - cheers for putting it up!
Motiv8 aka Steve Rodway did a lot of Euro-Dance versions of chart hits in the mid 90's including hits for himself (under Motiv8 - Rocking For Myself and Break The Chain) as well as for remixes for Kym Mazelle, Gina G (Gardner), Spice Girls, Dubstar, Gala and for Pulp.
OMG I have been after this mix for 10 years or more. The memories this brings back are fantastic, truely an all time classic and my favorite version of my favorite song of all time. I wish PULP would reform and re-release common people as I think it seems to suite the feel of the moment right now!
This is the best tune ever! Me and my sis used to request this mix in the clubs, back when it first came out. God, it takes me back to the days..... it was our "anthem"....thanks so much for sharing it again......=0)
Lord thank you for putting up this remix. I had the original remix CD 10 years ago which was borrowed by a friend, never to return me. I recently found the Vocoda mix, and now this Motiv8 completes the happy reunion.
You're welcome! Please also enjoy the Motiv8 mix of "Disco 2000". As lovely as the "Common people" remix is, I think the formerly mentioned is even more spectacular and danceable!
No me creo que nadie haya posteado nada sobre este tema...es brutal, he bailado en mi vida canciones a gusto, esta seguro estara entre las primeras...que nostalgia.
Yes I remember dancing to this in the basement of the Triangle Club in Bournemouth back in the day *drinks Hooch and falls over*
