This is a game with a big G, as a young boy I played it with bated breath. I totally devoured by LBA, wonderful atmosphere, excellent story, beautiful music and the animation gives you a 100% guarantee that it will not be bored, this is simply lovely. ;) I finished this game countless times and one who lived with Twinsen's story as I do, he must love it. Forever!!! And i think i can say we really need LBA3 please make it!

I remember when I was only but a child. My dad said, "Here, I bought you a fantastic game. I played it but I'm done now." So I took the CD and shoved it in the computer. After that I had the best time of my life. Knocking the little boy on the roof who threw rocks at you when you passed by. Stealing money from the cash shop and talking to a talking cow! Then there was a cave which looked like an alien, and boy, I would sh*t my pants to see it so I quit because I got nightmares after that. =)

I don't think game designers/creators will ever make a game so complete as this one ! All I see nowadays is a bunch of soul less games, and none of them will ever mark me as Twinsens did . This was a master piece by LBA, a game beyond it's time and certainly unique as you won't find anything similar in the next 100000000 years.

I don't comment often (well: never actually) but I really have to now... This game, if game is the right word: it's so much more, really is in my top games made ever. I feel it has so much style and atmosphere, it even outplays games like Zelda. The voice acting of every ingame character made this game feel like a real world. Including the good story, sense of humor, feeling of discovery, sense of humor etc. it really is a topgame not to be missed.

as ebay didn't exist at the time and i was pretty new to computers and the internet (filesharing? what's that?) it took 4 years to find a new copy of this game. after all, it was worth the effort

Man they really should make a LBA 3 with also a very good storyline in it and nice music, and now with the beautiful realistic 3D graphics we have nowadays... Maybe even with an online multiplayer function in it, or an option to customize your character.. That would be fantastic!!

The problem is that most games nowadays shoot for realism (not exactly realism but stories that sound plausible), stories about war, conflict and so on, and it's just being overdone. Few games try to present you an original world to explore... Zeldas aside LBA is on a league of its own.

I want to cry because I can't play this game anymore. Maybe one day Microsoft will invent an OS that can play games from Win95 onwards. It's just my experience, but with XP and Vista, the graphics go all funny, like tiny horizontal lines across the screen, unplayable. I''ve also tried it on 7, same problem. Anyone help me?

There are some patches for XP. You can try them. I am using Windows Vista and I can play LBA without any problem. ;)

This game was SO damn good. I haven't played it in so many years. I can't really think of games now that you finish playing and think "That was nice =)" You might stop and think "That was awesome!" or something, but not 'nice' as such. Maybe I'm just a little weird =)

They're all LBA 2 cutscenes, like after you solve the problem with the weather (wiz goes to the lighthouse with Twinsen+Zoe), the boat cutscenes when you take it to go citadel-desert island and the other way around, when the Zeelichians arrive, the ride on Temple of Bu, the Moon crashing to Twinsun, Zeelichians helping you with the Moon, and so on. I think it's sad how the adventure genre is small nowadays.

Say, without Zeldas and Tim Schafer games, there's barely anything adventurei'sh.

I see action adventure as a small genre nowadays... The few games that capture LBA's style to me are Legend of Zelda (also got the innocent aspect) and Prince of Persia to a minor extent (due to completely linear worlds), people calling GTA and etc action adventure are full of BS, they're not. LBA was designed from scratch for a 3D world, it would be so nice to see an upcoming sequel in the present days... come on Frédérick Raynal!

The music and videos combined brings back memories of one of the greatest sequels ever created. There really is something about this music that's really unique although I can't put my finger on it. Truly epic!

I wonder if a third game will ever be created, be it on Xbox live arcade, retail game, free download or whatever.

Although if a sequel is ever made, i highly doubt it will be as epic as the old ones. Just look at fallout 3. It's not a bad game, just different form the old ones.

No, the quality is exactly as i hear it. I record "what u hear" as it's called. I record the sound my computer makes with my soundcard, and save it to a file. Just like recording with a mic, just that i record what sound is coming out from my speakers instead.

Compare it to, like recording on a tape from the radio,, or recording on a digital box on your tv.
