  • I don't understand one single bit of Japanese, but the lyrics of this song touches my soul. Instead of understanding the meaning, I feel the meaning.

  • it reminds me of highschool of the dead (:

  • 1:15 What is that sound in he background? It sounds similar to like.. something spinning, or to me it reminds me of a ship rocking on the waves. I can't pinpoint it real well, but if you're listening to this song with headphones it seems to roll from one earbud to another.

  • i love it, i love it <3

  • L O V E ! I love this song and Gazettó, don´t you dare leave my side <3

  • Oh... This Song gives me chills! Its so powerful and amazing *o* Pure Genius! <3

  • I understand why people dislike Mainstream music, it sucks compared to The GazettE and other Visual Kei Bands, but i listen to J-Rock (A LOT) and other types of music too. One day i'll listen to some Jessie J or regular Pop music, the next some K-Pop and other days i'll listen to music from the 20's or 50's! My point is that you dont have to feel pressured into just listening to one type of music just because everyone says this is real music and everything else is crap.Enjoy all types of music!

  • @ChileHT I know right? One day I could listen to Dir en Grey and Maximum the Hormone (J-Metal) and the next I will be listening to Bob Marley and stuff like that. I never care what people say about my taste. I listen to what I enjoy.

  • This song is so passionate and powerful ... Absolutely Amazing!! :') -3

  • Imagine this:

You're walking around down a dark dirt road in the morning. It's no more than 8 feet wide, and there is a hill to your left, and a cliff to your right with a frozen lake just below it. There are snowflakes falling slowly from the sky, and there's a light coming from a nearby house that lights up the bright white snowflakes, so that you can see them while you're walking in the dark.

That's what happens when I listen to this walking to my bus O_O

  • @KatashiaFantasy101 Hmm nice image

I get the image of an old castle in ruins beside an old graveyard on a stormy night. Each member of GazettE is a different creature, locked away by a curse on the castle. Ruki is a vampire, Reita is a humanoid serpent, Aoi is a fire demon, Uruha is an incubus, and Kai is a werecat.

It'd make an awesome PV lol

  • @VisualVisu2011 That's so cool! OMG <3 It'd be pretty hot too LOL <3 Do you like descriptive writing? If so, we could be very good friends. XD

  • @KatashiaFantasy101 makes me want to draw them like that... hmm I may do it lol

and yes I do like descriptive writing. I write short stories in my free time and I collaborate with friends and write (many people call it "roleplaying" but it gives off that kinky vibe that is totally not the "roleplaying" I do :/)

  • dir en grey came to houston so why cant they =/

  • kyaaaa! cant wait am getting this cd for x-mass!!

  • This is the reason I love anime, and manga it introduces me to amazingly smexy voiced bands, with equally amazing music.

    japan <3

    the GazettE <3

  • This will always be my favourite song by the GazettE <3 If it sounds amazing on the album, "DIM Scene" was MADE for live performances! The effect is simply brilliant.

  • Ice Cube?

  • thier new CD Toxic is amazing

  • I got goosebumps listening to this. Any song that can do that to me needs to be on repeat on my iPod. The GazettE never cease to amaze me.

  • anybody know whats frozen inside that block? ive always wondered lol

  • @haditabonita666 Its a person, there's a door in the back that he gets in through. Look for their album making videos. They show them doing the photos for it

  • шикарно.как и все их песни.

  • I love the GazettE but quick question to the trolls and to anyone else out there... see i am a supporter of the GazettE and bought almost all of the CD's but it took me quite a long time to save up the money, so my question is, what if some one doesn't have the money for the CD's because of the economy and all that jazz should they still be persecuted by people who do get the CD's? Should they be brought down because of something frankly money has caused? just curious and please be kind.

  • @DarkCrowSage They're only $9.99 on iTunes if you don't mind not having a physical disc/box and want to support the band, though! Everyone's pirated with rarities at one point or another since importing is so expensive, which is why I think it's great that iTunes is putting up affordable J-Pop/Rock now. I'd like to see them do it more, but they won't if no one buys any! Also, if no one supports the bands financially, good music will stop being made and all we'll have is the mainstream trash. ^^;

  • @Chrissii1985 I've been downloading GazettE music until recently and I've ONLY been able to buy NIL. Hot Topic's CD supplier, Shockhound, has albums from about NIL or Stacked Rubbish till now. Bands don't make as much money from CD sales anymore as they did in the past. They make so much more from merchandise and tour sales. Their good music won't stop being made from a few pirated albums. And... GazettE is mainstream in Japan XD

  • @DarkCrowSage I have been a GazettE fan for 5 years and all of my music was pirated and downloaded from youtube until recently. I bought NIL from iTunes. BUT iTunes only has Stacked Rubbish, NIL, DIM, and TOXIC. They DO NOT have the older albums. So in order to obtain the older albums, you're going to have to download them. iTunes may be getting J-Rock/J-Pop but they aren't getting enough of it fast enough. I say, pirate if you have no choice. They're in no trouble financially.

  • the music is damned amazing <3

  • i live in america and i think that we all need to be more open minded about music. if i like it i will listen to it. and i like this and all j-rock.

  • I want THIS song played in my funeral.

  • @confusionnohime Me too ^^

  • The Gazette - Gods

  • this is my new fave song

  • DIM is such a great album.. <3

  • i realy liked this song ... It sound sad but...i read the lyrics and i didn't understand what the song is about ....can someone tell me T_T

  • Ahh no matter how many times I listen to it.. it just gets better and better. Ruki's voice in this song, the lyrics, the guitar, that violin at the beginning.. all of it.

  • i have never made it past 0:25. the intro is just to damn good.

  • Simplemente ùnica! La melodìa es extraordinaria ==)

  • This has to be one of my favourite songs by the GazettE, ever.

  • @piaka56

    It´s a Ruki :) .. I found it in one video :)

  • @TheKiisama I saw the video and I thought it was Ruki too at first but I think its a different guy.

  • omfg i just love this song. pure goose bumps

  • I love the violin in this

  • @pockyfied My understanding is that bands like the GazettE and X Japan will never have a mainstream success in North America. The style simply cannot match. Mainstream music, of any place in the world, is about curvy girls, getting drunk, and factory-churned melodies designed to make the consumer addicted. Mainstream music is a product. Real music - epitomes of emotion - will forever remain in the sidelines for those who dare to find it.

  • @ChartheShark GazettE and X Japan are very much popular in america.

    not *mainstream per se, but maybe just where i live ;-;

i can't remember living before I subjected myself to jrock

  • @xXntzntzXx I don't know where you live, but where I come from, it's definitely alternative, and I live in Vancouver (Canada) where almost half the population is of asian. What's popular hereabouts, though, is korean dancepop and japanese anime (with the popularity of the latter draining slowly).

Not like I'd LIKE GazettE to be mainstream. Like what pockyfied said, it wouldn't be that great of a thing!

My hope, though, is for these bands to be well-known within their field. Like Dir en Grey.

  • @ChartheShark I freaking agree. They deserve so much more attention and glory. The mainstream today should fall to the sidelines and this music should become prominent!

  • @ChartheShark You realize X Japan has already been to the USA and have recieved much promise in record sales. Also Dir en Grey, Miyavi, and Exist Trace are the most recent ones to be touring the United States (I am even going to see Exist Trace in March 2012). GazettE already has much success in the USA. I get what you mean though- they may not get mainstream. But they get damn close.

  • @VisualVisu2011 Yes, I saw X Japan in Vancouver (Canada) about a year or so ago. I also know Dir en Grey is sorta big and so is Miyavi, but Dir en Grey is only big within their genre. Normal high school kids can't turn on their radios and hear Dir en Grey. That's what I mean by mainstream, and if you ask my honest opinion, mainstream is pretty cheap, shallow, and trashy.

I've never heard of Exist Trace. I'll go look them up.

  • @ChartheShark Actually, with Dir en Grey's most recent albums, they HAVE been played on the radio on metal stations AND Hot Topic stores still play their music over the sound system. Mainstream isn't really that bad because alot of great bands are mainstream like AC/DC, Metallica, Ozzy, ect odds are people have heard them before. The new mainstream isn't that great but then again I love all music. GazettE could get as big as Diru if they would just take a chance and tour here.

  • @VisualVisu2011 Well here in Canada we don't have Hot Topics :/

And what I meant by mainstream was LMFAO and that stuff.

  • @ChartheShark (About Exist Trace, they're an all female VK band. by far the best all female VK band to me lol)

And I know what you meant.

I laugh though that people keep comparing Japan's biggest rock act... to the North American mainstream music that actually spans over genres. Mainstream means what's most requested on airwaves.

I laugh cause GazettE IS Mainstream... in Japan lol

  • @VisualVisu2011

Feel free to laugh at me, lol, I know my snobbiness and anger gets ahead of my common sense sometimes...I tend to be overly opinionated in the realm of music haha. I know it's wrong to judge, but when I hear really good music and then hear really bad music the ridiculous-ness of the bad music gets ahead of me and I get pissed. Sorry if it bothers you, because it IS wrong. Music is Music. Art is Art.

  • @ChartheShark It's perfectly fine. I've been there. I trash on the mainstream stuff here in the states and I even like it! XD

And hell yea they're legit. They're like my female equivalent to GazettE in measuring of my obsession for the bands. <3 my music drugs

  • @VisualVisu2011 by the way...looked up Exist Trace and they are LEGIT.

  • @ChartheShark Dir En Gray Made It Too America

  • The GazettE has a Jamaican fan

  • wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwoooooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! amesing

  • I had to order DIM yesterday. Damn, it's one of the most greatest albums ever made.

  • Ahh i could listen to this a million times and wont get bored its so amazing *O*

  • @GazeROCKZuZu i don't feel bored, i feel sad, makes me remember things- only sad things x(

  • Love this song. It sounds kinda evil in the beginning but it also has a calm feeling.

  • I've never heard a band as of yet that I love asmuch as I love The GazettE. Ruki's voice is so unique, every song holds such emotion. It's breathtaking just to listen to a song. Imagine going to a live.

  • This song is just amazing! ^^ And you get so emersed in the song you really dont even realize how long the song really is ..... its impossible for the GazettE to make a bad song .... I truly love this band! ^^

  • Theres no other singer like Ruki that sings like him. He gives so much into his songs that when you hear him sing, you can tell how he feels. Even when he performs live. I'm so drawn into this band.

  • This song seems to addict me to it.. Idk how... O w O"...

  • I like them because of their amazing music, but I am a fangirl too. I think only loving someone for looks is pathetic. Their music has so much soul. if you say you like it because of the pretty people who play it, you are shallow. However, I can't say it is nice that the music is awesome and so are they

  • This song at Tokyo Dome... the lights the music the atmosphere... omg it was perfect, i was only watching on a laptop screen but it was awesome

  • @Eimininja

    boah!

    you are right!

    Q_Q

  • amazing..the live from Tokyo Dome makes this son EPIC. so emotional.

  • this song is the one and only, ruki's the best compositor ever<3

  • Ya its a dilemma, you want to see and hear them in U.S. (Canada for me!) and see their goods. But then just like Twilight the people who enjoy them before the crazy are either lumped with them or are seen as not "in to it". But Japan does create its own unique sound, style, and lyrics; not all of them do the same thing.

  • this song has such a unique sound to it .

  • @pockyfied i understand ur feeling, but i do want them to come to canada so i want them to be popular for this one and only reason xDxD!

  • the intro gives me shivers omg Sooo awesome

  • the intro totally fits the 'post rock' genre! I like it!

  • This is fucking beautiful.

  • My God, I can't stop playing this song.

  • @pockyfied aweee you totally are lol

Love Dim Scene, so amazing X)

  • Thumbs up from france :D

  • Curse me! So many emotions flowing though out this music! My fav music! Not too many lyrics, but enough so you can rape the button replay.. A heavy feeling, great symphony... Speechless, blows my mind away! =O

  • this is the most beautiful gazette song of ever! I love it so much! when I see this track in the dim scene tour...I must cry every time. <3

  • Wow!

I stood quited during all the song :)

  • te skrzypce. . . az mnie dreszcze przechodzą/

  • i love it ..... * can't breath anymore....*

  • the violin in the beginning is probably the most beutyful thing i've ever heard

  • Why the GazettE doesn't play on american radios?

Because non-fan's ears aren't worth the magnificience of Ruki's voice ♥

  • @twilightprincess6662 Same thing on portuguese radios

  • @ShinigamiNekoYura quem me dera!!!!!! LOVE THE GAZETTE <3

  • Sugoii!! i Love yOu rukii! ToT/

  • @17Caramel12 Hahah doesn't matter because Kai is mine >:D

  • @piaka56 haha have fun with him~! ;D

  • @17Caramel12 Hahah yaaaay :D

  • @piaka56 hmm... i actually think... i like reita more now...

but now... reita is my boyfriend. ^-^

  • @VIRALFEEDBACK it was yune, but doesn't mind :°DD

  • this souds like a dir en grey song. . .like it alot! XD

  • sounds like a rock version of a Shadow of the Colossus track with vocals, and its absolute ear sex.

  • the emotion i feel is so overwhelming and also something i cant describe. this is why The GazettE has alway been my favorite band. they express and give me emotions i never though existed. Gaze Rock Will Never Die.

  • anyone know where i can get this album at a good price besides the internet? f.y.e?

  • you can't get it in a store anywhere in the U.S. to my knowledge. They don't have an american distributor. The only place for americans to get it is the internet. I reccommend Colosseum . de their european distributor.
