Can someone help me? I have what looks to be a climber but it also has the saw edge ( i dont know its specific terminology) I just want to know what model or make it is ( if i sound stupid its because i am new to knives, and i want it to be a hobby of mine)
P.S no negative replies i will completely ignore them
Absolutely. I've got a SwissTool RS as well as a small pile of SAKs. Quality is at the same level. Some people don't like the polished screwdrivers, but file or sand 'em to rough 'em up and they should be fine. I haven't done that, though.
dude no swiss army knife is "better" than another, its all personal preference. Just thing of the tools you need and try to find a model with those tools and no tools that would be useless for you.
@kinkanas I prefer the Super Tinker....the Spartan is a good knife, however as I don't drink, but do work with my hands, I would rather have the phillips. The Tinker is basically a Spartan that does just that, i replaces the corkscrew with the phillips, and the Super Tinker is the larger of the 3 models, but adds scissors and a parcel hook along with the extra weight. The difference isn't much, as the Super Tinker is only one layer larger, and the scissors are more than worth it.
@FUSSYBABY I own a Spartan and I've been very pleased with it so far. It has an excellent main blade, a nice quality smaller blade, both a bottle and can opener with screwdrivers (flathead) at the end of each, a leather hole puncher, and a corkscrew. It also comes with a pair of tweezers and a toothpick. Very simplistic and easy to use, so I'd recommend it.
if you would have paid any attention he said he would just go through what he had and that he's going to put up separate reviews with what tools they each have stupid
im only 15 but i got a cadet, rescue tool, soldier, champion plus, recruit (is basically a cadet with plastic scales and a small blade instead of file), a hiker, a gardener, and a 1980s fishermen, a special edition tinker and a 1980s climber
They are both great models, but I would prefere the cadet, because you can use the function bottle opener more than the other thing at the soldier model...
You made a mistake with the Champion.. The Champion Plus is a Champion w/ the pen, pin, and corkscrew attachment and the SwissChamp is the SAK with the pliers..

If the Champion has a pair of pliers and the Champion Plus doesn't, what makes it a Champion Plus?
