If am being honest here, I never really thought of FoB as emo (dont hate me) they always seemed too Pop-Punk...And as a guy being immune to Pete wentzs supposed good looks, I never understood there rise to such high status. Therefore, I find it funny Pete claiming to kill a genre I never thought him part off! I will stick to my post-hardcore and real Emo though, Long Live Silverstein! XD

As for my band I would Call it Burning Skye because it can also mean Burning Wings GREAT VID!

I totally get where you're coming from- technically, I believe the correct categorization of fob music WOULD be pop-punk. But, Pete practically created another style genre with the make-up, hair, and offbeat lyrics that other people misconceived as emo. It's more correctly "the scene" but as many fans and non-fans label, it's a "new wave "of emo... that's at least what I've gathered.

I have a big philosophy on what emo is today- it's not the same as you used to be. It was SO anti-stereotype that it turned into a stereotype. When I say 'emo', I specifically mean the style, really what Pete has created. I don't take it as seriously as cutting myself. Emo should be fun (sorry for the long reply, haha)
