If you use one of these types of heaters, I "Highly" recommend you set it one place and don't move it. These types of heaters use Quartz Infra Red bulbs to heat a copper heat defusier, if you move it especially if the bulbs are hot, they will blow and heater will not work. I learned the hard way. My EdenPure Series 1, one month after 1 year waranty, EdenPure customer service terrible, no help. Offered to fix for as much as originally paid. No thanks.
Folks do a few minutes of research and you will discover that these heaters don't work any better than a $15 space heater from Wally world. Your first tip off should be the fact they use infomercials to sell these. See the consumer reports review here on Youtube. Look...1500 watts is 1500 watts whether you paid $200 for it or $15 for it. Both produce the exact same amount of heat. The Edenpure is better looking and safer around kids. That's all. Heats the same.
I believe the fact that you have all-electric heat is the main reason you're happier with EP than many reviewers. If Eden Pure were more honest in their advertising, more of their customers would be this happy, but they'd sell fewer units. Electric space heaters can make sense for anyone with electric resistance heat or oil, but those with gas or a decent heat pump (especially a ground-source HP), it will be much harder to save money with plug-in space heaters. Hope they keep serving you well.
Quit drinking the 200 proof shine and ill bet the heater don't works as good anymore. You must be a Republican, another paid off buy corporate Republican America BS
Thanks for the videos, fine reviews. I've a question for you, if you'd please take the time to try to answer. Do these heaters warm an area some what quickly? I'm looking for a heat source for my basement den. An unheated area about 700 sqft, and is usually about 58 deg in the winter could I turn this heater on in the morning and by noon expect the den to be somewhat warm? Or do you think these heaters are meant to be turned on and left on for long periods of time only?
@lastchip Our home is very well insulated and when I set our 2 for the winter they aren't turned off for months. However they do warm the areas quickly, are very quite and we love them. I've never been contacted by the company although these little videos have been viewed more than 15K times. So I've nothing to gain but the satisfaction of sharing my experience with our 2 heaters. They honestly save us app 100 bucks per month all winter. simple
@simplecommentary Well, I'll let ya know how this heater works for me. I picked one up at lunch and will power it up this evening. If it doesn't earn its keep by saturday, back to Lowes its goes.
@1224gizzy They're electric so you plug 'em into a standard 110 outlet. I strongly recommend getting the larger heater as it canl cycle instead of running all the time. I originally bought 1 large unit and 1 small one but soon returned the small one and traded up. Good luck. simple
@myvidstv1 You plug it into a standard 110 wall socket. I bought a large unit for the family area and a small one for the master B/R. I soon returned the small one and traded up because the small one ran all the time where as the large one cycles. I highly recommend getting the larger one. Plus it is remote control... simple
@keliata We built our home and it is extremely well insulated. We have -0 temps up here and we do wear fleece during our bitter winters. What's your point?
@walock69 Up? No my bill truly dropped by a lot. We've had our 2 heaters for 2 years and they paid for themselves in 1. One of the heaters actually stopped blowing warm air recently. I turned it off and back on and it fixed it. But i'll be returning it to our local store (Mattson's) in Ironwood, MI for replacement soon. We love these heaters.l
Thank you for quick response how many Eden Pures do you have and how many square feet do you have? I think I need 1 more for my 1100sq ft home. If I face eden pure towards the hallway will it still heat the bedroom behind it? From what I understand it evenly heats so it heats all around right? You have been very helpful. And I do enjoy mine too the noise don't bother me my mom just says its louder than she thought it be but its quiet to me too. Thank you.. have Happy Holidays
@minamarie1 We have 2 of the large models. We have one in the family room and the other in the master B/R. Our home is app. 3900'. But like i said it is very tight and well insulated. It is 2 story and we are rarely upstairs. Our basement floor is also heated. But our central air rarely turns on and the temp has lately been in the single digits. The heat spead is pretty amazing for their size and our house stays around 67 degrees. Luck2U
I am probably not saving on elec bill having those 4 space heaters I was wondering how many more of those good heaters IM supposed to have to feel comfortable we also use a wood buring stove usually dies at 3am so the heaters takes over and it not bad we just probably need invest in 1 or 2 more its a 80/14 home so 1100 sq ft. They say Sunessence is better than the eden only difference is louder but im not sure but that what we got so i know probably shouldn't be asking you this i need ask a rep
@minamarie1 I'm only familiar with what we have (EdenPure) so I can't comment on the others. The downside of a rep is that they are selling. But they do know their product. I'm betting the Sunessence blows harder because that would account for the noise. EdenPure is almost silent. We buily this house for the area so it is really tight and heavily insulated. I'm sure that makes a huge difference for us. But we do see a huge savings with these 2 heaters. Merry Christmas!
My weather isn't so bad I live in Amarillo Tx we do get cold we are north panhandle and we do get cold but unlike your weather whoo... I am glad that's not me. We don't have a furnace and we have a sun essence it' supposed to be the same or do the same thing I was told it's a little louder but I am using it as a main source and it's in my living room it heats L/R and Kitchen it keeps it above 65 I have it on 80 and I have 4 other space heaters to heat all the rooms we have a 3bed 2 bath mobileh
@minamarie1 I was born and raised in the Dallas area so I'm fully aware of TX weather. Amarillo can get some pretty serious winters. We moved to far north WI 5 years ago. I've had a few folks rebuke what I've said about these heaters but I stand by every word and have nothing to gain by it. I just speak the facts as I've experienced them. Thanks for your positive feedback and enjoy the panhandle of the great state... simple
Gee how much is edenpure paying you? I can no other videos of regular people doing a review. It can't be perfect... There has to be some drawback, otherwise this how all homes would be heated... and they aren't.. so can someone do an unbiased review?
@rednoseroxy I have 2 heaters and love them because they do exactly what I said they do. I have no ties to EdenPure and get NOTHING from anyone for doing my videos. I just share what I have experienced and enjoy telling folks what does and doesn't do what is claimed. Most do not but these heaters honestly do a great job for us. Bear in mind that our home was built for our extreme temps. Thanks for your respectful negative reply. simple
@supergooddeal We use the EdenPures all winter. We live in WI app. 100 miles south of Canada and winter lasts from Oct.-May and -0 is common. We have almost 4000 feet that we heat. The basement floor is heated and the entire home has electric central heat. The EdenPures lowered our bills by more than 1/3 and paid for themselves quickly. The key is to keep the filter on the back clean. We LOVE these guys. Thanks for writing. simple
That's great. I have pretty much the same weather and same size house. I live near the upper tip of New Hampshire. I'm still contemplating buying due to the fact I have forced hot water for my main source of heat. This is why I asked what you had for a main source of heat. This must have been a huge savings for you. My wife and I take care of mentally disabled patience out of our home. We also have 3 children. All the rooms in our home need to be heated. totaling 6 bedrooms. May not benefit me.
@supergooddeal We have just the 2 heaters and they keep us comfortable. But although the upstairs gets heated because heat naturally rises, it's just the two of us most of the time so the BRs upstairs aren't used often. If we had people staying upstairs I'd be getting another heater. You're good folks and thanks for being just that. Have a great day, stay warm and keep smiling.

come on, just pay your gas or electric bill, lower the thermostat and wear more clothes. Invest in installation.
