  • they are infringing on our businesses copyrights, non-compete, non disclosures by collecting our company data through the phones and mobile devices we use. follow me @bancarrierIQ on twitter!

  • Electronic Frontier Foundation. That is all.

  • Lol what little bitches. I hope their HQ spontaneously catches fire.

  • Good I hope they sue and win big

  • We ALL need to support Electronic Frontier Foundation . I made a donation as they are NON PROFIT and support freedom and a free internet ..

  • Hmm...Does Homeland Security have a hand in this? It sure would help them catch terrorists. HS has got too much authority in furtherence of their goals when they start spying on citizens. Someone else mentioned DARPA which is a top secret group that makes all kinds of spying things including infecting (real bugs) Iraniam government computers. In any case possession of this data by any company is subject to supoena which is scary enough.

  • Thank you for bringing this to the attention of us. These mobile phone carriers are sneaky and I can't see anyway that this is legal. They are in effect logging everywhere you go on the Net and what you type on the phone. I've always wondered if there is something in Windows that does something similar and reports to Microsoft. In these cases it means the info can be supoened by the feds who suspect you of anything even if it's not illegal.

  • You are all falling prey to the mainstream news wanting a story. CIQ and the carriers/OEM that use the product are trying to make your experience with cell phones better. The users privacy is completely guarded and made anonymous ..Trevor was making statements that were not true and he should realize what kind of damage that can do. I have worked for CIQ and there is NOTHING insidious going on here. All of you go back to your WOW and find something else to bitch about.

  • @victoryjackpot07 Oh, OK. I believe you. Just ignore the electronic device attached to your body which is recording every phone call you make, every web site you browse, every text you send or receive, and everywhere you go, 24x7. Without your knowledge. Nothing insidious there, no siree.

  • @victoryjackpot07. This is illegal and you think it's something to ignore? You my friend are a fool

  • @victoryjackpot07 I understand that you used to work for CIQ so, defending them is to be expected. The point is that people like to have a choice and CIQ is not giving them that. People do not like to feel watched and a person's privacy is not completely guarded if every keystroke is being recorded. I would say that you are pretty naive or think that you think the general public is naive enough to think that their identity is anon to CIQ.

  • @victoryjackpot07 Here you are running your mouth like the good little CIQ sheeple they turned you into. I have a couple of questions for you and in their supposedly trying to make the experience better. If it truly is anonymous, how can they tell which phones and subscribers are effected. If a person can enter in a code to send diagnostics to the CIQ portals it has to have some way to track it right? Does it use the IMEI which is basically a phone's digital footprint? Answer if you dare.

  • @victoryjackpot07 :Wow you really are a butt buddy for CIQ. If they told you to bark would you, like a good puppy. Please, spying on people without any knowledge is against the constitution, where are you from russia. It's people like you that should be tar and feathered publicly to show we will not put up with this crap without a fight. Statements that were made by Trevor were TRUE and that is what has pissed you off. How much they pay you, not enough.

  • @victoryjackpot07 Even if any of what you say is true, which it's not, It would only take one decently smart hacker to be able to tap into the data stream and monitor all keystrokes and web access. Sure, maybe some of us don't have any important information on there, but for those who do, that leak of information could ruin their lives, their investments, everything. Go back playing WOW, I'm sure that's why you got fired anyways.

  • ..this story is over...check out the news and get with the day. All CIQ stuff is encrypted and no ..i repeat no hacker can get into the radio layer of CDMA call on RAN...Trevor "found" something that was alreand all of you people so enthralled with the gent that dy out in the open ...(read your contracts)...oh yeah and btw the log he was looking at was an android log file HTC was using....not even our stream....Fired..hardly d*&^hebag..hehe

  • @victoryjackpot07 The only thing I understood out of that intire pile of gibberish was something about CDMA not being able to be cracked. Which is completely irrelevant, and false. Irrelevant because CDMA is not the only protocol used, and is hardly used at all anymore besides maybe in sprint. False, because there is multiple ways of cracking CDMA or GSM, and even if a hacker didn't do it, you still have an affiliation with the FBI or so you have released after denying it a day earlier.

  • @victoryjackpot07 The stream was a debug file output of the CIQ program sent to the cellular tower, which is in fact "your stream".

  • @gaypanties ....read around a bit and get more informed...you cant hack CDMA Air interface and with that gday. I cant argue with a moron.

    M

  • You don't threaten a lawsuit... you either sue or don't sue... That letter came out of these peoples garage. This is no issue...

  • This sounds like a case for ANON

  • Contact your members of congress. Seriously, they'd love to take on google and carrierIQ.

  • thats beautiful for public relations... lets sue the guy who exposed us.

  • Are they trying to sue someone because they are upset that he is not using/ providing a way for others to not use their product? I didn't know you could do that.

  • @Nikisayshiii Watch my updated video :)

    They backed down.

  • Publishing everywhere, NOW! TreveE, count with my support on your side man!

  • CarrierIQ got caught, now they're throwing a hissy fit. They've got nothing. :)

  • @TheSolcity i hope they get shut down and bankrupt. i just learned about this whole carrier iq thing but i do not like what i see so far.

  • Thanks for sharing my friend, will be sharing the video myself.

  • Google did that to cyanogen, see how that turned out?

  • carrierCIQ needs to fuck off. They're embarrassed cause they were caught in the act of selling soft wear that has no need in the Android community. Ciq is a violation of our privacy and needs a choice of opting out. What if they're hacked? All your info is at someones finger tips.

    You have my support.

    Thank you TrevE and QBKing.

  • i Favorited and liked this vid and that spreads it faster then you think

  • Yes sprint needs to have an opt out option but I believe it the hardware is yours your slowed to do whatever you want with it cause Sony tried to do this to hacked ps3 but a judge ruled that the device belongs to the owner and is his property to do with

  • And fuck Carrier IQ, I'm sending them a turd in a box

  • I believe it's the

    FCC communication act 1996

Cell phones smart devices are supposed to record user information.

9 out of 10, of tech we get for cellphones and other devices

    Are designed by D.R.A.P.A

  • Thanks for getting this information out there. I've tweeted it, and have posted to Facebook and Google+ about it.

  • I support Trevor and EFF!

  • So does this mean if i am running a rom i will get in trouble?

  • @AllthingsPc No it doesn't.

  • I REPOSTED THIS

  • They are morons if they believe threatening one person is going to stop people from removing CIQ from our phones. This shows that they feel the pressure that we are putting on CIQ and our carriers

  • posted on fb and many android forums!!! This is BS!

  • This is ridiculous.. WTF?

  • i have nothing but support for what your saying my friend fuck ciq hardcore in the ass with a aids dick.

  • I guess now I know why Konane pulled the noCIQ files from the Epic4GTouch thread
