  • First time I see this and I got to tell you, as funny as "I want my mommy!" sounds coming from a grown woman, it still made my cry so hard.

  • This scene knocked the wind out of me the day it originally aired. So terribly sad. Luke and Laura may have made GH a household name, but Lila Q was the heart and soul of the show in my opinion.

Rest in peace, Lila Quartermaine and Anna Lee.

  • exellant!

  • This is the first time I have seen this clip and I could not stop crying

  • The academy really needs to get itself together that was and EMMY awards winning performace if ever I saw one!!!!!! Jane Elliot u ROCK!!!!!

  • Jane Elliot should have won her second Emmy award for this! Amazing and hair-raising!

  • it's such a pure, raw, genuine moment from tracy

  • Jane Elliot is OUTSTANDING

  • great scene

  • I have always Loved Tracy, But this scene broke me down...To tears....Jane elliot is a Damn Good Actress!!!

  • Tracy is the best, real emotions, just awesome.

  • OMG! What a tear jerker!!!

  • so sad :(

  • Not even Lois could say anything to her when she rips your heart out like that. Damn JE got that scene down and it was true emotions there.

  • omggg, no one can replace a mother.

  • It doesn't matter how old you are, when your mother dies, all you can think is "I want my mommy!"

  • After watching so many GH clips on here about Michael, Carly, & Courtney's deaths, it was Tracy who brought me to tears. Bravo, Jane Elliot, bravo.

  • @ilovetosing2008 *Tracy's reaction to Lila's death.

  • i couldnt even get through the first few seconds of watching Jane without crying. I don't know how any or them made it through recording this. Jane is amazing here its so real

  • so sad feel bad for tracy.

  • Wow, this was amazing, they just was not acting but true emotions, she really died and was a legion of gh...

  • @geo31 Edward did cheat on Lila many times but he also really loved Lila and Lila really loved him. Lila had money of her so did not have to stay with him if she did not love him OR if she believed the old boy did not TRULY love her. Lila was an hieress when she met Edward in the 1940 s. But the fact remains they loved each other

  • so sad.

  • balled ny eyes out

  • Cried. Totally cried.

  • OMG Tracy/Jane Elliot made me cry! She's AWESOME!

  • I LOVE Tracy Quartermaine!!!! Jane is AMAZING! It is so heartbreaking to watch her! You cannot help but hurt for her!

  • This wasn't acting for anyone. They did this episode the day they heard of Anna's death

  • when tracy said i want my mommy it was so sa

  • when i first saw this i cried, it was so sad. Tracy did some good acting

  • poor tracy

  • Jane Elliot never fails. She is phenomenal.

  • oh man, I'm not a huge Tracy fan, but Jane Elliot was AMAZING here. did she win an Emmy for this? or at least get a nomination? because she DEFINITELY deserved it.

  • omg this made me bawllll!!!

  • Right at 1:12, you can see that Tracy is fighting a losing battle to keep it together, and Edward guiding her to release her pain. Jane Elliot is brilliant beyond words. A very powerful performance.

  • @JBravo2 This is so true because JE was like her daughter rl or another daughter. Scene would've been better with the other Edward i can't think of his name right now. john something or other.

  • @Dizzybear John Engle.

  • Jane Elliot is s0o go0od

  • Jane Elliot is amazing.. I so wish they would just give her some material worthy of her in thecurrent day!

  • Lila (Anna Lee) was pretty much the tv mom JE and SD had since they all worked together through the years. Not one of them was replaced up to this episode.

  • I've never cried so hard at a tv show in my life. The 3 clips that were just unbearable were this one, and the one where Jason steps up to the podium to talk, but looks at the picture of Lila and is totally frozen. I understand that this was not scripted, and that Steve just couldn't do it, so Natalia had to step up. That made me cry harder. Also, the very last scene with the clips of Anna. It gets me every time. My face hurts from crying. =[

    Great, great episode.

    RIP Anna Lee.

  • UR SUCH A BASTARD!HAVE A HEART!how would u feel if your mother died?

  • I wish I was watching when this happened! AMAZING performance by JE!

  • Jane Elliot is the best, classic!!!

  • Everyone seems to have been affected the most by Tracy, but Edward totally affected me the most. Other than the day of this episode, I wasn't a fan of a "new Edward" at all. I am not one to cry at all (just as another user had said), but it killed me when Edward said, "I love you, too" after having sniffed that flower. That...that, is the moment that had me.

The original Edward probably would have done it better, but the Edward at the time did a great job at that scene, too.

  • @AyatollahPez Yes Jed Allan was FAR too young to play Edward, and looked more like Tracy's husband than her father. However he was brilliant during this storyline. When you learn that sadly Allan's wife died not long before he joined GH, you realize he was drawing from some very real, personal pain to play Edward losing Lila. Frankly it speaks volumes to how well he did that he was able to realistically portray Edwards pain, despite having just arrived.

  • Chew Down The Scenery, Jane! WOW~ heartwrenching. This is how it will be when my father dies, I'm sure.

  • OH. MY. GOD. That's really all there is to say.

  • That was Justice! Edward's grandson.

  • i cry every time. she is just so amazing!

why was bad edward here? I love cranky old man...where was he?

  • Jane Elliot is the best on this show!!!!

So amazing i cryed 4 like an hour after i saw this!

I'm 14 and i luv this show b/c of her!!

    Tracy forever!!!

  • Wow I wasn't prepared for that I'm crying now :(

  • jed allan and the guy who plays allen are the same age.

  • damn, this was sad to bad they had a horrible edward.

  • completely agreed

  • I still have this saved and remember this scene! I remember thinking how AMAZING Jane truly is!

  • yeah thats true but he did a brilliant job!

  • Jane Elliot broke my heart in this scene. She should have won an emmy. She is a brilliant actress.

  • yeah i cried like a baby

  • OMG made me cry

  • OMG!!!!!when TRACY screams I want my mommy!!!

If that doesnt move you..you aint alive!!!classic!; Jane Elliot deserves a star!!!I love this woman she plays her role with PERFECTION!!!!!she is an OUTSTANDING ACTRESS!

  • Jane Elliot was never my fav actress but this scene tore my heart out.

  • traci is one of my all time fav on GH. brilliant acting

  • I thought Jane Elliot should have gotten nominated for an Emmy after her performance!!!

  • lila was the only quatermaine noone had prombles with everyone loved her!

  • @stardance4 True and she married a Quatermaine she was not born one. Maybe that was the differance, she was born Lila Morgan.

  • lila was the only quatermaine noone had prombles with everyone loved her!

  • lila was the only quatermaine noone had prombles with everyone loved her!

  • "I want my mommy" OMG I've seen it all never a truer word has been spoken when one's mother dies. GH classic

  • omg this made me cry and i ma not one to cry.

  • Nor am I, but I agree. The day this aired, I cried particularly at the "I love you, too" part by Edward.

  • @AyatollahPez I CRIED FROM THE TIME EDWARD SAIED, MY WIFE IS DEAD ALL THE WAY THRU THE FUNERAL. THEY HAD ALL WORKED WITH ANNA LEE A LONG TIME SO THIS WASNT SIMPLY ACTING. THEY WERE SAYING GOODBY TO SOMEONE THEY HOLD DEAR, AND HOW IT SHOWED

  • this made me cry!

  • Jane Elliot is amazing.

I loved the fact that Alan, even though he most of the time can't stand his sister, hugs her close as she weeps.

that was such a beautiful, understnad gesture.

  • Tracy is amazing. I hate her character but felt sorry for her at the same time. That's how you know Jane Elliot is a good actress. I wish John Engle would have been on this episode.

  • OMG! I still tear up seeing that! Do you have the vid of Tracy finding out from Justus that Lila died?

  • I love Jane Elliot, she is a brilliant actress. She has no filter and says it like it is. Yes, she also walks around like she has a stick up her butt. But, she is good, and scenes like this prove it even more.

  • Jane never ceases to bring me tears when she does stuff like this (and it's rare that she does). As for "Edward" -- I would have preferred John Ingle.

  • Me too, I don't like Tracey but these scenes just brought me to tears.

  • i love tracy

  • i love tracy, more tracy!!

  • I don't care who you are, if you watch GH and know the sl, you can't watch this and not cry. It is so moving.

  • This man was to young to play Edward. He looks about 10 years older than Alan. They had to make Alan look

younger because he started mto have alot of grey hair.

This is the 4th actor to play Edward Quatermaine. Also

Lila (Anna Lee) is dead in real life and so is Jessy,Steve hardy and Aunt Ruby.

  • Actually he's a couple of months older than Stuart, but John is about 9 years older than Stuart.

  • thats a really good scene tracy did

  • Jane Elliot is a god. Brilliant, raw, powerful acting.

  • this episode had me in tears the whole timee. it was really touching

  • this would have been perfect if the other edward(actor)would have been there, Tracy loosing it left me breathless and in tears, imagine with the other edward - OMG! i love the Qs, and little by little they are being sent to the other Wing of the house to vanish, thats where reginald went, and i think its were the cook stay... the Qs, what can we say about them . . they are love and cherish.

  • Search for the videos "Remembering Lila" and you will find parts 1, 2 and 3. That's when the Q's first find out about Lila's death, then have her memorial.

  • This was a very good scene,The acting was so good, Jane Eliot and Jed Allen did a great job.

But its good to see the Quartermaine's.

At least Sonny wasn't in any part of this.

  • I want to see it too! I had been working shift work during that time and missed all the G.H episodes around Lila's death. I wonder if doing that scene was just too much for the 'real' Edward to do? But Tracey was amazing.

  • sadness

    :'(

  • Jane should have had an emmy that year!!!

  • CHILLS when Tracy screams for her mommy. CHILLS.

  • I know, I can't stand Tracey but this part made me cry. She knew and loved Anna Lee r/l so I'm sure her pain was real.

  • omg i love jane

  • Jane is sure a great Actress give her a emmy!

  • omg we were soo cheated with that fake-edward.
