  • does your state requre a siren if you run lights? Because if not the siren was a little exseive...unless your just a whacker

  • That music better be added in.

  • Farmboy wat part of Indiana u in?

  • what dept r u with . im in indiana we run blue lights here

  • 3 Doors Down in the background....AWESOME!!

  • nice music lol

  • In my state, ohio, i dont believe there are any restrictions for lights or siren

  • that music maces you feel more awsome doesnt it

  • In CT we are only allowed blue lights, red rear facing that can only be used when on scene. There is no limit to blue lights and you can get a lightbar permit as long as it is compliant. I do agree that all volunteers nationwide should be allowed lights and sirens for out safety and to speed up response time, however.. There are individuals in every fire department that will abuse there powers, go too fast and get into accidents. I can see why some states have restrictions.

  • @justin3zelda

in MI we are allowed red and white as well as sirens.

i agree about the abuse thing, however i feel it should be up to the department to decide rather than the state for siren and red light usage.

  • you a fire chief or assistant or something?

  • It's hard to respond to a call with slick roads when you're holding a camera in your hand, isn't it? Perhaps you should invest in a mount!

  • are the traiffc lights blue? instead of green

  • is this in reading PA?

  • where im atr they dont allow radio while being on the job

  • ok, I dont understand why the sirene. No Cars at all, we only use lights late at night and maybe sirene only on intersections. why the sirene?

  • @jorgechiu In many US states we are required to use a siren at all times when our lights are on and we are moving.

  • @FlamboyantFerret My state (va) lets you have two grill lights or one dash. I dont agree with it. LIghts and sirens are for OUR safety. Why caint we have them?

  • For about 94% of you're video there was no need for siren

  • @FlyinHawaiianpros Some departments have SOP's stating response levels and use of lights/siren. Up here you're either not responding, responding "yellow" w/ no lights/siren, or it's red, lights/siren... no choice in the matter.

  • @FlyinHawaiianpros actually for about 100% there was a need for a siren. when a car pulls out of nowhere and you crash. and your not running full code. that puts you at some fault there. and many states have laws actually. like in my state. if its and emergency response, you'll run lights and siren

  • also where is this at

  • you need to post a vid of your pov and what kind of siren is that it sounds nice

  • Where do you live that you can run blue/red and sirens?

  • What kind of Decklight you have?

  • what fire dept do you work for? This is a nice video!

  • Make a video of your POV car

  • Is that dash-board flash the only light you got?

  • damn gas was $1.99!!!

  • @revotuneda4 hahaha dontcha miss thos days

  • @revotuneda4 Now it's back up to $4.20 in CT.

  • @revotuneda4 and everyone was probably bitching about how high it was then haha, I'd gladly take $1.99 now

  • hey, what state are you in?....because over here where I am, only the cheif's can use sirens and have a response radio....and to get very descriptive, what part of the state?....because I wanna move to a state where I can use a siren....it sucks not useing one.

  • nice video very good job on the sound the sound on my vids is fucked upi cant get em to work

  • I would have to agree that the camera is NOT mounted, since many times you can see it show alot of the illuminated dash. But I will venture a guess that the Audio on the camera is very good since the siren is very very clear. Great piece of driving though. Enjoyed the VID.

  • your stupid

  • dude seriously back off he DIDNT get in an accident. who really gives a shit dude ur a dick

  • dude fuck you leave him alone i do the same damn thing

  • Why the hell do you keep going to all these vids criticising? Go fix the laws if you have such a big problem with what others are doing shit you have WAY to much time to sit and argue one what someone did or did not do right. I don't give a SHIT if you think you know everything but get the hell off it if you're this concerned take it to the f'n news or shut up.

  • first off wefc43 has wayy too much time to be sitting on youtube bitchin bout videos. he must be suspended from the whacker forums :-P

and as for ur vid very nice vid it was cool only thing is now after 7 mins of it i NEVER wanna hear that siren again lmao. come on no traffic shut it off u had to have gotten annoyed with it driving...

  • sorry ...just saw the comments bout Kansas Siren laws...disregard last comment...

  • why the siren ?...no traffic out there

  • why not? theres never a wrong time for the siren

  • @WEFC43 shutup man your getting anoying.stop commenting him and mind ur own bunessiess.he do what he do.

  • hey guess what...the camera is mounted on the dash in the vehicle,,and the music wasnt even up to listen to..its just how well the audio is on my camera.,...so piss off...

  • and the roads are shitty...

  • yes they where ...lol..

  • I think people need to realize that sirens are a must in most areas, i know in new mexico it is against the law to run lights but no sirens. You have to have either lights and sirens going or no lights at all.

  • yes this is also true in our state..if you run lights u must run the sirens to

  • dont play music when ur responding 2 a call

  • plus its snowing, and who's holding the camera, because its obviously not mounted.

  • I have to agree...running code, holding a camera, and playing with the stereo are extremely unsafe in the best weather conditions...when you're doing it in a snow storm, even without traffic, you're just asking to end up in a ditch or worse.

  • This is pathetic. First of all who runs with an intersection siren on for half a response in the middle of the night on roads that aren't populated. If you did this is a paid service you would never be allowed on a call again. second of all you have the radio on during a hot response..... WTF??

  • Most departments require a siren to be active at all times, no matter what road conditions are.

Here in KS a siren is required at all times, even if you're in the middle of nowhere at night.

  • what matter is this, did he get to the fire on time and did everybody survive.the rest are details

  • i have a big rig air horn hoocked up to my blazer i dont like sirens but i have a pretty nice setup for lights

  • Im a volunteer EMT and I wish in IL we could have a siren in our pov. Sometimes people don't want to move or just aren't paying attention. Nice Video.

  • i think that those people are just cowardly assholes no offense

  • i know your not talking about the firefighters and emts?

  • @ccvfd10511 i was talking about the people that don't pull over for us volley's

  • @nov2529 Who the fuck are you talking about?

  • @IanHimself28 sorry for not stating what i was talking about, i am talking about the people that don't pull over for blue lights and i've seen some people not pull over for lights and sirens, i'm not talking about anyone specific, just in general

  • @nov2529 O i thought you might be saying you hate firefighters lol, Yea I also hate people that dont pull over.

  • @nov2529 your not talkin about firefighters are you???

  • I wish in the state of Virginia, we could have more than just 2 front facing lights and I wish we were able to run sirens in our vehicle.

  • I can not believe they allow you to have all of that in your POV. And if you have all of this who is picking up the Real rigs which puts the fire out. Im all for Volunteers but the POV response LODD rate is getting out of control..

Drive safe brother and arrive alive, and keep up the good work

  • People respond code to the station to get trucks

  • from wich brand is your dashlight looks great do you use a whelen siren?

  • what model and make siren do you use? sounds like its got a lot of functions

  • the fire dept run on red and blue there

  • no we run on red and white in the front and red and amber in the rear.

  • @ccvfd10511 why are u using Red-Blue lights in the front?

  • @ccvfd10511 red and white hun? then why is that red and blue?

  • @eerrbb256 its red and white .....there is no blue. it just appears that way. its a whelen talon dash light. which i do not have anymore. i now have a full undercover split red vizor bar. in the front and 2 preditor lights in the rear. plus my siren, which I HAVE TO RUN WHEN IM IN MOTIION AND THE RED LIGHTS ARE ON!!!!

  • @ccvfd10511 yeah. i had the brightness of the screen turned down. i could see now.

  • umm wat city and state u in?

  • i almost always use both, it just makes it safer, for everyone, i have had two friends hurt when responding in their pov

  • why siren on open road no one around?

  • i dont know about this state, but some require a siren to be on when lights are being used or traffic laws are being broken

  • This looks to be from Coal City WV, WV Light and Siren permits require siren to be run when lights are on.

    Stay Safe Brother

From Kanawha County Station 24 Institute

  • he is responding code 3, that is the order from his superior to run code 3

  • "Code 3" refers to responding with Lights/Sirens in WV? Radio talk is so amusing.

  • Code 3 is using lights and sirens in every state in USA, unless otherwise dedicated...

  • In these parts, it must be otherwise dedicated then because around here, responding with lights and sirens is usually referred to as responding 2-7 or making an ER response. Code 3 is an accident without injuries I think.

  • Signal-10 or 10-39 in Indiana

  • @ccfrpumper111, Actually the code system (1 through 4)refers to the urgency of the response per dispatch.

Code 1 -routine, respond at your convenience

Code 2- urgent, respond next-up (with traffic) no lights

Code 3- Emergency- respond now, (through traffic) using emergency signaling equipment. Code 4-under control, no further response needed

11-82 is property damage accident (non injury)

  • @ pumper...shit, that was meant for alex. sorry

  • @CCFRPUMPER111 except states that use the Class system over code...Class is exact opposite of code...Class 3 is no lights, no sirens..whereas Class 1 is lights and sirens

  • is that a slimiser R/C?

  • nice vid what department are you on dept city st

  • Once I finish getting my pov setup then I'll add some video's. I'm still working on it.

  • Very nice video. Can't wait to see more.

  • You should add a video of your POV so we can see your set up.

    Thanks
