I first heard one of Switchfoot's songs on a radio station, and since then, been looking up that song, and i would see videos of other songs, and eventually, Switchfoot became one of my FAVORITE bands!!!Luv these guys!
More than, less than, which one are you. Are you the rich man? Are you the poor man? Inside this shell there is a prison cell. Get it? where are you on the greasey pole not either, then you are truely free, The Lord is Good xx
This may just be my favorite because the guitar doesn't overpower all the other instruments. Also, I like the dynamics of the bass, and especially the progression! The drums are quite unique, and so is the progression. That's most of what makes the musical part so amazing. The lyrics couldn't get any better! I think they're perfect! :D
@mattlewis66 Actually, Creed is of the "country/rock movement". My statement was about alternative rock "the original sound" like Smashing Pumpkins, Alter Bridge, Stone Pilots, Shinedown, Nirvana, Alice in Chains and of course the three bands I mentioned in my prior comment.
@mattlewis66 If you like Creed, then you will also like bands like Seether (country/rock) I am sorry that i didn't mention Tool in the last comment but Tool is of "the original sound" as well.
@theorthianguy Unfortunately to say... less Christianity. That's just the way the media world works. The mor christian it becomes the less popular it becomes. I know many bands have made it big, but never as big as any non christian band... Just saying that there is a pattern.
@Poepolos i'd have to totally agree with you. though some of their songs (dare you to move, and that other one i can't remember) have been huge, though really christian, but i still agree with you!
@Poepolos they are not trying to be more popular by removing God. God's love is for all, so they make their music for all. We don't classify other songs by what they sing about, so why classify music as "christian"? By doing this, they are leading more people to christ
@ActThr3e I never said they are removing God to be more popular, I never classified any song or band as Christian. I never said Gods love isn't for everyone. What I said was the following "The more christian a song(can be ANY song) is... the less people listen to it. WHY? Probably (and I'm GUESSING) because most people aren't "big" into the christian thing and don't want to listen to music containing lyrics about it. My point is, I NEVER said anything you said I said.
No generic lyrics, no dull repetitive beat, no dubstep, no girls dressed with everything hanging out. All reasons as to why this is not as popular as it deserves.
@Kenzan78 uh huh, that's what i figure too. sad. i bet things will turn back to rock a little more now, with the explosion of Arcade Fire... we can only pray that some decency and skill can be returned to the music biz.
@TheGiggles2013 I know i listen to skillet and tobymac and considering switchfoot, No where did i say eminem, T-pain, lilwayne, bruno mars, rihana or any of them.
