When we die, our spirit goes back to be with God who gave it. (Eccleciastes 12:7) Heaven and hell are metaphorical, because Jesus said the kingdom of heaven is in us. The word hell is actually not in the Bible. The words are sheol, gehenna, tartarus and hades. Neither refers to the afterlife. Jesus did not die to save us from “hell” to go to “heaven”. He saved us from the illusion of separation and show us we are one with God. God is love, and love keeps no records of wrongs. Love is who we are.
and what proofe do we have that jesus actually died and came back? Did someone see him die? Did someone see him alive after they thaught he died? Is there only texts that says it? They could have been christians who just made up the story to get more followers
this video is factually incorrect as there are many people who have survived death and come back to tell us about it... the different scenarios do not necessarily contradict each other either
@ididjaustralia - re: "many people who have survived death" - Excellent point!
Clinical death (aka cardiac arrest) usually leads to biological death (aka brain death) within 4-6 minutes. The Guinness world record of 4 hours goes to Jan Egil Refsdahl. Because he fell into icy waters, his body temperature dropped and he was able to make a complete recovery.
Jesus' experience was unique in that he resuscitated after being clinically dead for over 48 hours. He never experienced biological death.
