  • im a 14 year old ive lived in the bush all my life but moved to newcastle when we come bck we are buying property by then i'd be 15 but can join denman RFS and attend calls and do my but for the rurals and the life i love

  • WOO love the RFS doing the Junior training now, In april i will be fighting fires.

  • sop state that when responding to a fire lights must be used . as for the siren it should only be used if needed we always use ours as we are a boat brigade and you never know what is around the next bend

  • where is this?

  • numb nuts notice how many intersections they went through how would they know if there was a car coming thats why the sirens are on for thheir saftety

  • some great driving. as for the sirens....no traffic yet you still have it on....sirens are to warn traffic and people of an approaching emergency vehicle. its hard enough to listen to whats going on over the radio let alone with the siren going off its tits

  • Can you see the couple of car. by the way in NSW it is the rule of fire service use the siren on the road to the job it is the safes way to go.

  • mate i happen to be crew leader qualified in the nsw rfs and i can assure you there is no SOP that says a siren must be used while responding to a "job"

nsw fb is different they must use their siren 24/7 headin to a job. we dont

  • @marc89don im NSW FB and no we dont either.

  • @marc89don holy shit your a complete fucking dildo...

  • nice work guys, you did everything properly and to the book :) dont listen to idiots

  • wow what a mess over a video ive been a rural for 13yrs have responded to plenty of fires in the middle of the night with no siren going who wants to be going up a hill in 3rd gear in one of those slow ass izuzu or canters also glad to see all the comments on the driver i think he drove in a safe and appropriate manner for the time of day and road conditions

  • I am Ex rfs. And as a profesional driver i see people in cars (and trucks) do stupid things all the time. even in "trafic" like in this video, i see cars pull out with no warning all the time. At night i would be less likely to use the sirens as the lights would be enought to warn people. I stoped only cos i could hear a siren. the car behind me went round me into the path of a ambo. Near miss thank god so yeah during the day use the sirens People in cars just don't look

  • What kind of wanker would video themselves going to a call. I bet you were all just stroking it on the way too. Now wonder people think all of us in the RFS are cowboy wankers when you do dumb things like that.

  • @RFSLF your a fuckwitt who wouldn't its just a bit of fun you wanker. loosen up and get laid

  • seriously who cares.....theres more important things. if they want sirens on, have em on, if not dont.

  • So who is the Dipshit now? Who is the Moron now? Next time fuckwit, check ur facts before cocking on. I guess u would also be one of these attention seeking glory hunters that respond lights and siren blaring at 3am with no traffic too.

  • this comment is correct a very good way to piss of locals. but i do see why u put sirens on through out the day though

  • Wow how hectic was that traffic... Good thing that the truck has Sirens hey, and ones that make sooo many sounds too. Dunno how you would have busted through it all on those roads with out it!!

And dont gimme that kids BS, sirens attract the kids, which make them more of a hazard then!

  • as it states in the rurual fire driving course while responding sirens must be on, who the fuck do u think you are dipshit, it only takes one car to not hear the siren and pull out of there driveway and hit the truck, if that happens then if its a house fire and you were the first truck on scene if theres ppl trapped then theyre gonna stay trapped MORON

  • Dipshit?? Moron?? How bout u check your facts before sprouting on? Check with RFS and RTA...

RFS SAFE DRIVING STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES 2008 VERSION 3

    S.O.P 4 Para 1.8

"Audible warning devices may not be appropriate on private lands or in remote or

rural areas in circumstances where there is livestock, there is no other traffic or

there is no safety advantage to be gained by their use although visible warning

devices are to be used at all times."

I think this example falls within the above?

  • wow thats a mouthfull

  • this is for remote or private land NOT suburban areas where it is likely to have pedestrians and traffic

  • Comment removed

  • why do you need to have yelp on when on a straight road with no traffic?

  • You assholes better watch wat you say. How about the next big ass fire that burns like shit, how about we let you and you garden hose put it out. You have no idea what TRAINING, PHYSICAL AND MENTAL ENDURANCE WE HAVE TO GO THROUGH JUST TO PUT OUT A GOD DAMN FIRE THAT MIGHT SAVE YOUR FREAKIN' LIFE!!! So have some respect and think about what we do for you and the time we give up to help YOU!! Oh and thank you to the other RFS VOLUNTEERS who have stuck up for the RFS and what we do.

  • How come all the cars coming the other way flash their lights?

  • Why is it so slow :|

  • its a truck.

  • 5 minutes wheres the fire? Boring

  • hey it is a requirement to have the siren on when exceeding the sped limit, we are meant to have all warning devices on when responding to a call, we are not wanker's when your house is on fire who will be the wanker then? you

  • RFS wankers? who the hell do you think you are? As tsitmeer said, when your house is on fire who's the wanker then? We don't do it for money, or for glory, we do it because we want to help people. And by the way, its not really the decision of the truck driver, or the crew leader, if we use the siren or not. We get told if we're responding or proceeding by firecam, who you heard them talking to on the radio at the start of the video. (end of rant)

  • Definitely a townie, aye RFS members? LOL

Always have something to bitch about...

  • Why do you care if the siren is on the whole time, why not?

  • sounds like a sausage fest in the cabin of the pumper lmao

  • the videos in muswellbrook at the start

  • Upset the locals and give the dogs something to howl at.

  • lmao

  • im from the riverina wht but earlier posts it said Denman

  • denman

  • PS Grass have you considered the reason they use sirens is to let people know help is on it way?

And I thought you were in the service yourself?

  • Dont forget kids and kangaroos are about that's one of the reason we have siren on. heavy pumper cannot stop in time like cars do

  • Sirens in the RFS still come with an off switch don't they?

  • oh also Kangaroos

  • Dont forget kids are about that's one of the reason we have siren on.

  • Wow traffic was chaos for that call!!!

good job he had his sirens on all the way there eh!

  • when did michael j fox join the rural fire service?

  • when his tv career ended

  • No shakey jason was

  • Steady Eddy must have been filming this.

  • doesnt Denman have a Fire Brigade??

  • yes but on this day we were backing up that area
