No that is not the point. You are making the slippery slope argument. The fact of the matter is that the a V6 muscle car is not good. They are slow and weak in sound and performance.
Missing the point. You go from spending 20,000 on a GT to 50,000 on a GT500. The V6 is not that much cheaper then the GT. You can even find gentley used ones for cheaper then a v6.

sorry to say it, but the only way a mustang should be made is a V8, what the point of owning a mustang if its not the real thing? you cant get a V6 mustang and say u bought it for the "get up and go" kuz a stock dodge stratus sxt (which i have tested myself) can smoke the shit out of a V6. so buy a used V8 if you cant afford a new V8. my current project is a 76 stang (ya its a fox body) but its gona be sweet. im droppin a 302 5.0L or maybe a 351 if i can fit it in, only time will tell.

The v8 only has 90 more hp at the crank. not tht impressive. considering im only 16 im proud to even be able to own a new mustang much less be able to be building it up like i am. Also insurance is a hell of alot cheaper and im savin a shit lod of money at the pumps. sure you wont get the sound a true v8 will but your able to build it to stomp v8's at a fraction of the price of what a true one would cost.
HA, you funny, you funny boy, I am 19 and have 07 GT. Insurance prices arent too different between the GT and V6. Gas Mileage is here or there only a few miles difference. And by the time you poor all your money into your V6, to have it faster than the V8, you will have spent just as much as if you would have bought a V8 BUT you wont have he torque of a V8. If I did bought a V8 surely I will lose my girl my house and all of my money down the V8 engine this is one of the reasons some ppl buy V6's.

Right on man, I have a Mustang V6 Pony Package in that same Screamin' Yellow...I would've gotten a GT but I didn't have an extra $12,000. But I did get it in a 5 speed manual
the shelby gt has a v8, with a cold air kit and high flow exhaust giving a stock mustang gt an extra 25 horses. you're probably thinking of the shelby cs6.
V6's are for those who don't have enough G's, and still want a fast car. And yes, the V6's of today are stronger and faster than the GT's of the 80's (except for the 86 SVO)
Consider, also, the Shelby GT (NOT the Shelby GT500) is a V6 too, and it has 320HP (Mustang V6 has 210, methinks). 20HP more than the V8 Mustang GT.
Dude Shelby GT has a tweaked out v8 producing 319ish hp . don't believe me look it up. This is coming from a guy who did about 3 years of research about 05 up mustangs before getting a 07 mustang GT, And yeah i love it

if i had a gt, i coulda gotten a shelby gt for a little more.

most people i know dont, and over the time that passes, that gas adds up.
not because the v6 gets "such better gas mileage", but because if you had a big v8 youre more prone to rev it.
