Hey Gia I just wanted to know what's the difference between a artistic and dramatic competition?

@wluu1 Artistic can be divided into 2 categories- Light entertainment and Dramatic. Sometimes, though, they don't separate the light and dramatic and it is just- artistic. These Artistic programs are different from Freeskate programs because they are about interpreting the music and the difficulty of jumps is not supposed to matter. In Freeskating, it is about how well and how difficult the required elements are performed and the artistic expression is secondary to the technical side.

This isn't like a bad thing or anything, but ur a spinner. Not as much as a jumper but, you have a very nice spring and rotation on ur jumps.!(:

Gia, what is your age when you have a 1st competition?

@fabulousprincess25 This is so funny...when I was 4 years old and had been skating for 3 months, I competed in a very small ISI competition. I was level Tot 4. I skated to Scooby Doo dressed as Daphne and competed against myself. I got first but almost got 2nd because I did lots of elements that weren't allowed- like waltz jump, 1/2 flip, toe loop, sow chow, 1 foot spin...the judges were nice to me because I could have been disqualified or given 2nd place.

@LittleMissMia123 White boot covers are not a good alternative to tights that cover your skates. It would defeat the purpose of making legs seem longer. Also, most people do not wear boot covers in competition. They keep their skates bear or cover them with tights. I prefer the cover-the-skate tights.

but the only thing tht could have made it better was if she wore tights that showed the boots instead of hiding them. tht would have been perfect. :]

@novideosforme123 where we live, the over the boot tights are worn more. I like the way it makes a skater's legs look really long during extensions. Plus, she has had all of her idols sign her boots in sharpie.

@emilylte Not yet, but they will be up soon. I had to reorder them and am waiting to receive them.

@SuperCoolgirl66 It was the National Showcase Artistic Competition in Cape Cod that she went to in Aug 2010. This program was 2nd in the QR.
