Wonderful performance from the Philadelphia Orchestra. Ormandy is no Carlos Kleiber (the greatest of all the conductors ever to lead a performance of Johann's music), but his conducting on this is magnificent.

For me the Tritsch-Tratsch-Polka will forever be associated in my mind with Roger Moore's 007 cruising though St Mark's Square in his Gondola/Hovercraft (luckily it wasn't full of eels)
