  • rotate the tamper 180 degrees when it's out a bit to lock it in place for tamping.

  • bro you dont wanna be smoking or breathing in all that butane bro gett a vapeor iron

  • @jyatzy123 when the butane burns it doesn't have the smell of liquid butane which personally smells like shit xD or atleast i've never tasted the butane when i smoke

  • Great video. This lighter is a dead on copy of the IM Corona Old Boy lighters. And both are based on the classic Dunhill lighters.

I have all three lighters and for the money, the IM Corona lighter is the best value ($100). You get near Dunhill quality (mechanically) not in fit and finish, but at a fraction of the cost. The Xikar is a distant third.

  • Did you block me. I don't get emails When you upload a video anymore

  • @cutlerylover God I want this lighter so badly, but it isn't sold in Australia and the cheapest shipping I can find for just a lighter is $38 !!!! bit overboard

I'm thinking of just getting a butane insert for one of my zippos.. but I will dream about this thing for a long time lol =(

You should register with Xikar so we can see the quality of the free pouch.

  • You should review the Zippo pipe lighter

  • That is a sweet lighter man!

  • qr codes... cool...

  • hey man my friend has the real one!

  • cool lighter. and why does the tags say cutlerylover has never broken bone in his body

  • @EvlonAlpha

I know, it annoys me too. But we have to accept that some people just don't see the difference between that and couldn't in this context.

  • By pot, are we talking about a cooking pot, or marijuana lol.

  • They are called QR Codes. Not picture codes.

    @cutlerylover

  • Sorry for the miss spelling.

  • Would you please do a video on the ways to smoke a pipe as I am new to it and really don't know what the hell I'm doing. I have tried but I'm not getting the smoke experance that I see others get.

  • hey cutlerylover what is your opinion about the new crkt Natural with the cocobolo handle?? is it better than the bone handle of the old model (in terms of traction, water resistance)? Sorry for the off topic question!

  • What did he says in the first second? Hey whats gonna be guys?

  • Zippo makes a pipe lighter I have one!

  • lifetime warrenty, lighter ... like a zippo

  • My Father smokes pipes, has done for years. I'm always at a loss about what to get him as gifts as high quality pipes are well out of my price range, but I think this is perfect. Great video, and thank you.

  • Very interesting, Jeff. I've been looking for a nice lighter that doesn't evaporate like a Zippo. I love the design of the flip-cap, flint tube, and striker--very steampunk-looking, almost, and definitely classy like you said. And the lifetime warranty is great. But are there any good cheaper options?

  • since you are into pipe smoking now, you should try one of those zippo pipe lighter inserts

  • the barcodes actually work from the video!

  • Yeah, everyone wants pot videos...

  • hey jeff if your looking for the awsomest pipe ever look at churchwarden pipes its not a company its a style.... u can look them up on google images :)

  • "I could care less about the box"

    "...could care less..."

  • @cutlerylover it would seem half of your subs are into there ganja lol

  • Dislike his pipe vids !

  • @MrZachpow hahaha

  • @MrZachpow no way dude, fuck you

  • jeff your tags are getting weirder and weirder...

  • i wanted to watch that video on how to cut a cigar so i paused the video and scanned the upc code on the screen. I was really surpried that it actually worked

  • ya Jeff do pot reviews. I'm in need of some new cookware.

  • @thepopeis1 LOL

  • @thepopeis1 I agree, a good pan review would be good.

  • @thepopeis1 Da-Doo tshh :D

  • @thepopeis1 im pretty sure by pot he meant weed aka marijuana LOL..

  • i think the scraper would maybe also work as a screwdriver to adjust the tension on the flint wheel.

just from what i see here.

  • I have a lighter sheath built into my pants

  • @blaw569 lol

  • i think i speak for everyone when i say GET TO THE FUCKING POINT!!

  • @ndawsome Ummm No, I enjoy Jeff's rambling. As do other people, I'm sure.

  • why are the top commentsall about pot?

  • @MrLazyboy4200 Because everyone likes and uses pot

  • you might be able to turn the adjustment and wheel tension with the pipe tool also.....?

  • tap 9 as fast as you can.... wawawawawawawawa

  • I have that same pipe! Glad to see you're exploring pipe smoking a little more seriously now

  • Soooooo coooool

  • Have you seen their cigar cut knife. because it seems like a pretty interesting edc.

  • How to Properly Cut Your Cigar: watch?v=4WH9JdKow7U

  • QR codes

  • hummm there sold out.

  • Why do advertisments decide on ramping up the volume so my ears blow out?

  • @ajk710 Because you dont have Adblock plus :p

  • i suggest wathcing pipefriendCHS's videoss!

  • Barcodes, basically

  • hey jeff the codes are called QR codes :)

  • jeff do pot reviews

  • @mikr0bas As soon as people start sending me some... ;) Or seeds, spring is coming I want to do more gardening videos

  • Comment removed

  • @cutlerylover Gardening is pretty relaxing. But as to your witty reply....haters gonna hate....

  • @cutlerylover do you smoke?

  • @lemonaidan5 Yes he does

  • @cutlerylover Can I send you some weed so you can review it?

  • @cutlerylover pm me and i'll send you some ;) jeff on marijuana woot woot

  • @mikr0bas drugs are for losers.

  • @mikr0bas Reviewing non-medical marijuana would be pretty pointless. There are so many factors involved in growing and treating which can affect the quality and make the best strains into weak shit that tastes like chewing grass.

There's no real way of knowing if it was grown in an old bucket in a cupboard, a high tech hydroponics lab or a large field in Mexico unless you get it legally or grow your own.

  • @cutlerylover

you have to get the zippo pipelighter

  • Ugly lighter in my opinion, looks more like a plumber's tool, with a lot of valves, screws and pipes.

But nice to see some new videos on the smoking pipes :)

  • REVIEW STARTS 4:06

  • Have ya ever seen the beattie jet lighter.

  • For weed bro! Soooo make a weed smoking vid?

  • For marijuana perhaps?

  • Very classy lighter!

  • can you use that tamber/scrape tool as a flat head screwdriver for the flint wheel tension screw?

  • On the contrary, I've found both matches and lighters to slightly taint the flavor of some cigars and tabaccos. Nothing beats a hemp wick!

  • this is a bong lighter...

  • he doesnt pick up the lighter till 4:02 just to let you guys know

  • Looks overly complicated and gimmicky for $50.

  • can you do a vid smoking a pipe please :P

  • i like glass pipes

  • anything else than a match will give you the flavour of the butane gas through the cigar/pipe. Especially for cigars, as it takes a long time even with jet butane lighters to fully light, but affects pipes also.

  • Jeff it looks like you could use that taper as a screw driver to adjust the flame. Just a guess maybe you could try it.

  • good to know if i ever want to spend 50 bucks on a lighter.

  • The "picture codes" are actually just called bar codes.

  • @mkylem423 nope.They are called QR codes :)

  • @hellrazorforever That is also true.

  • Looks cool and all but you can't beat a zippo.

  • Thanks for the review, Jeff. I liked it so much I picked one of these bad boys up on eBay for $40 shipped.

  • hey jeff i did some zippo unboxing i like zippo's im just gettin bk into them as a hobby could i get a few pointers. so far my fav zippo is the zombie nd i think i did a decent reveiw idk thats why im asking for your opinion. great video btw

  • This+Ganja= BuhbuhhhbuhhhhhhhBAKED

  • The only type of lighter/match that actually makes a difference to the flavour of the smoke and are therefore not recommended is "Zippo" style lighters. I personally find they leave cigars with an oily taste.

  • Only people who don't actually smoke regularly extol the virtues of matches over butane lighters.

  • Dam this lighter is badass I can use that bottom thing to push down my weed when its burning lol and not burn my finger :D

  • Ita qr code

  • My Dad smoked a pipe all his life and I have been smoking one for about 30 years. While I do have a Pipeline lighter, the one that I like the best is a model called Scribe. It is also a Xikar. It is literally just like a match. Great Vid Jeff....

  • the picture codes are called QR codes, they don't always lead to videos.

  • nice my buddy smokes and i think ill pick one up

  • I bet this would rock on a bong

  • @CODgamplaycentral

I use one of those cool burning lasers for my bong.

  • @CODgamplaycentral

not better than a trust bic.

  • i bet you could use the too to adjust the flame to

  • Oops the guys channel might help. NWPipeSmoker

  • You might already subscribe. If not check out this gentleman. Great pipe tobacco reviews. Great pipe reviews. Goes over the matches versus lighter debate.

  • can you use the back of that tool as a screwdriver to adjust the flame?

  • cutlerylover has never broken bone in his body

  • I could definitely see myself using this on something else other than tobacco.. :) as I am extremely anti tobacco.

  • Just like custom knvies jeff...400 dollar lighters interest those that are really into smoking and the lighters themselves :)

  • they are called qr codes

  • Nice lighter. It looks like some of my old retro lighters.

  • Nice review, my friend. I appreciate you taking the time to do this. I have been wanting a good pipe lighter, but didn't know which one to go with. I am happy to spend $50 for one that is dependable after spending $35 for one that only lights after spinning the flint wheel 8 times!

    David

  • Shave with a straight razor and you're back to the 50's.

  • i dont smoke, dont plan to, but i watch your videos just to hear your insights on things. it's like a one sided friendship. which is kinda the definition of a stalker haha

  • diskike his pipvid

  • Jeff really, really likes having the tool in the bottom.

  • I use a Seahawks zippo lighter.

  • How addictive is smoking a pipe? You're just puffing the smoke right, so not addictive at all?

  • @M3iscool if you do it a lot, probably has some degree of addiction. Even though your not breathing in the smoke just puffing away you still absorb nicotine. If you are prone to addiction i wouldnt try unless your ok with the idea. I smoke cigars and pipes whenever and usually give up for winter *too damn cold in MN for smoking outside*. So not a big deal for me i guess YMMV..... as for using matches... a jet lighter works great as long as you allow the cigar to cool and do it slowly.

  • @M3iscool not true, tobacco (in any form) contains nicotine, which is extremely addictive. pipe smoking is similarly addictive, though it may take more time or require less due to quantities. pipes usually don't have filters so there is a danger in that as well.

  • @kingmigget Mmm, I see, thank you for answering. :)

  • jeff. they make a pipe zippo that i heard works really well (and its pretty intuitive IMO)

  • It's a QR code, and I hope I'm not the only one who tried scanning them off the screen...

  • Looks nice.

  • QR codes ;)

  • LOL, I took a picture of your code in the video and it worked...btw, It's called QR code

  • lol the whole vid i was thinking" i thought you were supposed to use matches with pipes and cigars" then he said it at the end and i was like atta be jeff answerin my questionss

  • Comment removed

  • Didnt see the other comment soooo jokes on me. Im retarded

  • Jeff your supposed to use a wooden match for cigars and pipes because it preserves the flavor. Atleast with cigars anyway but just assuming with the pipe

  • @ryanreardon16 a wooden match gives you the same soft flame as used by a butane lighter like this

  • @cutlerylover would it not matter of the fuel, would there not be a taste when using butane?... like i rember in an old video you said that you wouldnt use a zippo because the lighter fluid vapous would taint the cigar..

  • @EmoEwok666 butane made fire doesnt effect taste, its using a butane lighter with a strong flame that can burn the tobacco too fast and effect taste, a soft flame lighter is no different than a wooden match, this is from my own expereince not heresay, now a zippo that used regular lighter fluid does and will effect taste

  • @ryanreardon16 did you not watch the rest if the video?...

  • @ryanreardon16 it's generally considered ok to use lighters as long as they're butane. some people don't like matches because of the sulfur.

  • @ryanreardon16 So said hellboy...

  • Those square code things are called QR codes

  • Only amateurs use a butane lighter for their pipes and cigars, it ruins the flavor. Use a wooden match.

  • @v4mpirehunterd I smoked a pipe with both a butane lighter and a match with a soft flame it makes absolutely no difference what so ever, only an amatuer tells other how to enjoy their tobacco, and any other way besides theirs is not correct...walk into a smoke shop VERY few MEN have a pack of matches...

  • @cutlerylover True, everyone uses butane lighters. When I go the Cohiba store, the guy lights up my cigar with a butane lighter.

  • @cutlerylover So all the women have matches?

  • @v4mpirehunterd You just got served!

  • @v4mpirehunterd I've used butane, zippos and matches on cigars and it makes no difference in the flavor man,get over yourself you don't know everything.

  • @v4mpirehunterd I see someone has watched Hellboy. It actually does not matter that much, as long as you don't use normal lighters. A match or butane lighter is pretty much the same. Some say that a match adds a little more taste while lighting a cigar where as a butane lighter adds no flavor. I've never noticed the "added" flavor. However lighting a cigar with a normal lighter does not taste well.

  • what month starts with i

  • @julioaguirre1 it goes by month a january b febuary c march d april e may f june g july h august i september and so on....

  • im suprised u dont have a zippo pipe lighter i like them personaly but i lost mine

  • Real pipe smokers use matches.

  • Now jeff wheres the smoking videos!

  • what month starts with I?

  • @crephotos a = january. b = february, c= march... and so on

  • Hi Jeff... I use a Corona Old Boy lighter, looks alot like that in your video... I collect pipes as well...

  • weed....

  • THis would be great for bongs.

  • Watching this video on my xbox...youtube is really interesting when it is being played on a 55 inch screen...

  • @DutchMannDan look at all these fucks I don't give.

  • @sjjdiienno1 at least I'm not bitching on youtube like a two year old. Grow up.

  • @DutchMannDan lawl.

  • your phone went off at 9:45

  • Those little thing are called QR codes or Quick Response Codes. They started their life way before smartphones were around. You can have QR codes made for you on the Net, but there are heavy duty apps that generate them. They can be generated for Text, URL, vCards, Phone Numbers, the App Store, or any combination. I had to read a 300 page book on barcodes, finally I got to use a little of that - Whoop Freakin' Weeeee!

  • jeff you should make a vid: lighting a pipe with a firesteel

  • 7:45 - 7:57 that sounds wrong

  • @tapuout96

sounds like what he'd say in a fleshlight review

  • It's called a QR code.

  • hi i'm carl, i like pipe and weeeeeeeeeeeedddd

  • Xikar = quality! It's a shame you didn't enjoy cigar smoking Jeff, cigars are one of my most enjoyable hobbies! (pipes are ok but personally there's nothing like the journey of smoking a quality Cuban)

  • I understand your using pipes but I am a cigar smoker and I have recently purchased a Rocky Patel large chambered 3 flame torch. In my opinion it hasn't been up to par and I was curious if your research or knowledge has crossed this model. Thanks

  • uhm jeff i don't actually know but i think the tool on the bottom of the lighter was intended to be used to adjust the flame pressure take care love your videos keep doing what you do :)

  • What happened to the knife/ zippo/ hot sauce/ liquor/ gun reviews?! Instead I get updates on chocolate and a starbucks strike I could give a shit less about! I thought I read your username as "cutlerylover" instead it should be "pointlessknowledgelover"!! Seriously I look forward to almost all of your vids, but this pointless knowledge stuff is getting old. Just my opinion but seriously.

  • @jennamoneyshot1 don't listen to em jeff!

  • I actually made myself a couple of pipes (not for weed smoking) but I don't smoke at all it just fascinates me. Although, pipe smoking, or just pipe videos would be nice to see!

  • I have a butz choquin stratos. pipes are wonderful
