  • my friend say this will cut 1 layer to paint...izit true???

  • Does it last forever?

  • i polerka na sloncu kurwa debile...

  • some 1 swirled the fuck out of that paint some 8 dollar detailer hahaha

  • fucking bells and music pain in the arse take it off its crap

  • Can Polish direct sunlight???

  • on a serious note, I thought you weren't supposed to do polish/wax in direct sunlight but this user is. Is compound different than polish? And direct sunlight compounding is allowed?

  • stop with the damn bell already!

  • pretty good

  • i love meguiars,,, but this video is bull shit thers no way it can do that with this compound and a da polisher.....its prob like a 5 step

  • @NORTHofCALI I own a detail company, and your soooo right,I picked this up at a local store and tried it out,it did hardly anything. Not much better then a cleaner wax, right in the garbage it went

  • swirl marks are gone cool dude

  • What song is this?

  • @bbqueuezor lol u wanna dance to this n ya room wit black lights oil and glowsticks lol

  • hi nice demonstration what would be the next step after the compound?

  • Impressive demonstration and great vids as always!! I have a black Mercedes C-class with swirls similar to the 7-series in this video. I have tried Ultimate Compound and Swirl X by hand and it hasn't worked. What should I be doing by hand? should I give up trying by hand and use a machine?

  • @jamhen01 Mercedes C classes have harder clearcoat...if hand is not working, machine should do the job.

  • @meguiarsasia Cheers mate and thanks for replying!! the Benz clear coats are rock hard haha :)

  • Sorry I mean like If its alright if every month or every 2 weeks Im gona use ultimate liquid wax? is that alright?please help

  • @pancracius09 yes thats alright

  • @meguiarsasia is this permanent and does it come with hand appliator pads

  • @EeLaMSaRu it should not come back

  • @meguiarsasia what would be better for swirls ultimate compound or swirlx

  • @meguiarsasia hey just a quick question is paste or liquid wax better and is synthetic better than carnuba

  • @meguiarsasia whats better for removing swirls ultimate compound or swirlx and whats better carnuba or synthetic whats the difference

  • @EeLaMSaRu swirlx is better to remove swirls and synthetic lasts the longest...carnauba will give you more shine.

  • I know that you will not get quite the same results when polishing by hand, but I am a college student and do not have enough money to get a DA polisher. How close to these results can I expect to get when using Ultimate Compound by hand?

  • @loveskating3 you can get great results...you just need to put in more elbow grease is all and spend more time. You should have no problem though.

  • Hi mate I already bought and tried the ultimate compound thanks it all works!! but I'm just wondering if they are permanent?and if its alright if im gonna use the ultimate liquid wax every week? and please what sort of meguiars do i need to remove my stains on my hoods?please please help thanks

  • @pancracius09 of course your car will get dirty over time but if you maintain it frequently....you should have no problem. You can wax 4-5 times a year and maintain with UQD or UQW

  • I just bought a new black car and I've noticed some swirl marks on it already. Can I use a clay bar, then this compound, and then finish of with a wax? Will that help with the marks? thanks

  • @jenny03penny yes yes and yes!

  • Does this product combined with that buffer take out hard water spots? And make the surface silky smooth again?

  • @6824096 to make the surface smooth..you should use our smooth surface clay kit....the compound will help the water spots but sometimes they are too deep to be removed. It depends on if its deep or light damage.

  • SO im gona do is ultimate compund 1st den the ultimate wax?

  • @pancracius09 yes....for a deep wet look shine you could also do ultimate polish after UC and before UW

  • Thanks for the help but which one do i need to use?is it diffrent the quick wax to ultimate wax? plzz thanks

  • @pancracius09 yes its different...you should use ultimate wax...paste or liquid is fine. :)

  • SO im gona buy protection after finish the ultimate compound? what exact name of the item so I can buy to our store right now please thanks

  • @pancracius09 ultimate wax would work for protection if you like and a polish that works would be ultimate polish.

  • how come I bought one of those of like 3days and when I used it its really works but after few days and after the rain the paint of my car are starting to fade please help

  • @pancracius09 you need to ensure you polish and protect after this product. This product only cleans but adds no protection against the environmental hazads we all face.

  • Looks like the paint got burnt by an inexperienced detailer.

  • I have a black BMW325I im going to try it on,but should you not do that in the shade.Sun must be too hot

  • will ultimate compound remove swirls and scratches done by deep wetsanding? (swirls look similar to the ones on this vid) thanks!

  • I do this by hand, give you better shine, i always use ultimate compound its the best

  • i Got another question. Can it be used on acrylic paint, as it does not have any clear coat.

  • @maklerys yes it can be applied on a single stage paint or acrylic paint.

  • Well, i still see some holograms at 3:58

  • @maklerys If you follow the ultimate compound up with ultimate polish, you will work out the holograms 100%.. The compounding is only 1 of the necessary steps.

  • Woke up this morning to find that the wind had blown a metal lawn chair against my 2010 civic si leaving a deep long scratch in my fender and door. I though that I would need to wet sand and buff out the scratches but two applications of ultimate compound with my da removed them and left a glass like swirl free finish behind. Thanks for making great products and saving my paint Meguiars

  • what kinda pads did you use to buff?

  • Are these results permanent?

  • @iamthenix yes they are unless you make new problems. :)

  • i got some surface marring after claying my car, does using the ultimate compound with the DA remove them?

  • do i still need to use clay bar before apply this? thanks.

  • Working half of the hood at once? Seems like too big an area according to everything I've read elsewhere.

  • are we at church with the bells going off every couple seconds?

  • @Solidwolf34 LMAO Thinking the same thing.

  • i have a 2005 chevy 2500 hd with dark blue paint .when i bought it ,it looked sweet .it is a k-9 search and rescue unit .i think i only had it about two weeks when i was out on a search and got stuck in the mud up to my axels .i took it and washed it but now has fine scratches all through the paint .i use megs spay way on it but it still has the scratches in it will this compound remove the scratches.it now sits on 35 inch mud tires

  • I would like to see what the finish looks like after a month and 3-4 washings...

  • WOW Great product

but i think if you apply it by hand you dont get such results?

    or am i wrong?

  • Did some one burn the paint or clearcoat to get it that way? And is there away to buff ur car and the scratches out by hand instead of a machine?

  • I love this compound, but its hard to clean off the ultimate compound sometimes with microfiber towel. am I leaving it on too long?? I leave it about 5minutes and then wipe off. But sometimes I had to keep rubbing it to get it off. So I was wondering if you can wash the vehicle again after applying ultimate compound so that I can get rid of all the compound off the vehicle... and then follow up with WAX. Would I still get the same results? let me know. thanks.

  • @swooshstyle82 most likely you are working in too large of an area and letting it sit too long. You should be working in a 2ft by 2ft area only and with polishes and compounds, there is NO need to let it sit..you can immediately remove it from the paint.

  • @swooshstyle82 When I use this compound, I use only small amounts (about a nickel size drop) for each 2ft x 2ft area that I am buffing. I will work the compound back and forth, left and right, until the majority of the product is worked through, it cuts heavier at first and polishes after youve worked it down. If you need to continue buffing the same area, you can then spray your pad with some spray wax and it will reactivate the products that is left in the pad.

  • hello!! i'm from argentina, may i use parts of this video to promote Ultimate Compund? Thanks!!

  • Can I Use Ultimate Compound Befor Using Ultra Finishing Polish (M205) ?

  • @BEST4BEST yes you can but its better to use M105 as a step 1 and then step 2 process.

  • Looking at all the wonderful results your products have on car finishes makes me very happy in pants.

  • why dont they wash before starting?

  • @2010sasaki this car wash washed before starting....this video is only on the step 2 procedure and this one product only. Great observation and thanks.

  • @meguiarsasia why does it say since 1901 when cars started being built in the 1930s ive always wondered thanks

  • @4343Jonathan started off as a furniture polish company

  • @meguiarsasia oh thanks for letting me no ima go tell my friends and act all smart lol see ya

  • Comment removed

  • @4343Jonathan Cars started being built in the 30s? lol, back to history class with you.

  • @wutthechris well more cars where mass produced and actauly im 14 and we just learned about that last year dumby

  • Were can i get a meguiars buffer i want one

  • o yea imma used that then go to a detail shop

  • I love the cinnamon smell of uc.

  • Would it be better to use the burgundy pad, since it should cut better?

  • I dit a paint job on my 71 torino but I didn't do any compound after or buffing, do you think it will help it to use meguires?

  • the steps he took was completely wrong!,

1.the car should have been in the shade or garage

2.spray Detailer and wipe the surface WITH A HIGH QUALITY MICROFIBER TOWEL NOT A USED AND DIRTY ONE!.

3.apply a 10inch line of product on the surface and put the buffer at the 10oclock position, then bring your buffer up to speed and slowly go across the bead with moderate pressure.

4.overlap 50% in each pass twice.

5.wipe to inspect with a clean mirco towel!

  • whcih type of foam do i use with UC? color i mean,,,,thx

  • Holy hologram batman. Did someone do some rotary compounding at 3000rpm on the hood there?

  • @metjesk why yes robin...its a shame when the evil do-ers get their hands on an innocent bmw

  • is this effective in removing tree sap thats baked on the paint, i mean like the remaining tree sap is embedded or under the paint surface?

  • @JakeHustle2

YOu should Purchase a Meguiar's Clay Bar Kit that will work wonders on the buried contamination's in your paint, give it a glass like look, and make it ultra smooth. Follow up with Ultimate Compound or a more mild compound such as Scratch X or Swirl X Depending on the severity and Softness/Hardness of your paint.

  • I don't have a meguiars buffer, mine uses rpm. Does anyone know what rpm level 4 is on the meguiars buffer?

  • @SubaruSTiMatt we do not have a rotary. We DO make a DA orbital polisher that runs on OPM's....4 on our DA is 4800OPM's.

  • Wow, and to think I just bought some of this Ultimate Compound from Walmart and the Gold Class Carnuba Wax, I am so excited to use my car care products now. My car is not as bad as the D-bag's car in this video, how you let a BMW's paint job get that messed up is beyond me. My car is not in as bad in shape as that car but wow, that is impressive how it cleaned all that mess.

  • @meguiarsasia i've tried foam cutting pad with UC, still have orange peel on my paint(but lesser now). Now im still waiting for my ultra cut compound(m105) to arrive.. Will combine this with my ultra finishing polish(m205). I hope these products will remove the defect with mirror glaze finish.

  • My next product im getting

  • wasnt this supposed to use any compound on the shadow and with the car cold? why is he doing it under the sun :S

  • @newthepanch yes your correct.....in the shadow and cold is best.....this is outside simply since it was shot on site in Bangkok.

  • @meguiarsasia u mean i can use ultimate compound with cutting pad(red) or must i change to more aggressive compound to use the cutting pad? I've spend hundreds of $ for ur products & accessories(don't want to spend more buying wrong products). Have seen great results(better then other products), but i still didn't get the mirror shine.. Pls help..

  • Im using ultimate compound with meguiars foam polishing pad(yellow), it gloss.. But also gloss out the uneven paint cause by acid rain & neglected paint by previous owner.. How do i remove them..? Go over & over again till its gone, or should i change the foam to cutting pad(red)?

  • @Abot87 you can always change to a more aggressive pad OR more aggressive compound

  • im curious how this compound is vs the d151 1 step?

  • Hi Meguiar I need to know umm i have a something on a car i just brought and its something like a paint swap that happened at a yellow or ether green pole it use to be a dent there and ive been working on the car to restore it my qestion is how do i remove this so called "Paint Swap" off my vehicle and what would be the best way to do this with a buffer

  • @chamblizi simply use 3000 foam finishing disc with water on the small spot....then use 105 with the 3" wool pad on the spot, then polish it and protect it.

  • @meguiarsasia hmm i cant find the disc thing on autozone.com help :P

  • for some more detail, its like (on a white car) those brown marks you get around your door handle. their light brown, look really bad, but up close, their only surface. deeper than swirls but not serious...

  • i have a white car, about 8-9 years old now (honda accord) still runs perfectly but of course has some bad marks. mainly swirls but a few scratches. not deep deep, where it exposes silver but in the clear coat but would catch a fingernail. Not by much, but to the point where u can feel it when u slide your nail across. will this take care of this?

for scratch x 2.0 can that eliminate small paintchips? thanks

  • Like Butter !!

  • Hi meguiars, or whoever...I had a year old car, which actually looks pretty good, i take care of it alot :) It has almost none swirls and also ligh oxidation. I was wondering if using this product by hand would make those thing disappear... Thanks!

  • @pablo2809 yes it would! :)

  • Meguiars, you have saved the paint on my car! This product is great! I used SwrilX before, and it did an okay job with the swirls, but then I used this product, and it got rid of everything.

  • What are the steps after using this product? do i clay bar then wax or just wax?

I have a black car and just waxed it but noticed bad swirl marks. do i need to remove my wax first or can i just use this right over it to give me a nice swirl-less shine?

  • @mrjgrawcock yes you can use this without removing the wax. The steps you should follow are: 1. wash 2. clay bar 3. ultimate compound 4. wax/sealant 5. maintain

  • i have my own car wash and i use only meguiars product because it gives the best result ive seen so far no other product is a competition for meguiars "thank you meguiars"

  • why would you damage your own car like that? use a car that really needs it for example.

  • didnt help my car at all :( disappointing

  • I use Ultimate compound in my pro detailing business because it works great! for paint that is not so scratched and swirled that m105/205 have to be used Ultimate compound does amazingly well. it is also great on really soft paints because it does not haze or swirl the paint. great price too!

  • Looks like someone had a seizure with a rotary on this poor car.

  • Hi there, i've a new car which is subjected to slight waterspots. I've tried to remove them using the Meguiars M205 Ultra finishing polish, but not been able to do so.

Any recommendations on how i can remove the waterspots to produce a clear finish.

As i do not have a power source around my carpark, i can't use a rotary buffer. Everything has to be done by hand. Any recommendations? Thanks!

  • @speedyspeedboy123456 if your doing hand only...you can use M105 or ultimate compound by hand with possibly 2-4 applications. If this does not work, you will need to find power possibly with a tool if the problem is deep.

  • Where can i buy the buffer thats being used in the video from in stores? And at what cost?

  • @antonio30824 its going to depend on where in the world you live....message me your email and I can get you in touch with the right people to get it! :D please let me know where in the world you are

  • @antonio30824 more or less 150...they sell it on amazon...pretty overpriced for a buffer

  • wow this video is awesome. cant wait tro try this product on my vehicle

  • I just bought this product, it is dark out but I can't wait til tomorrow to see what clearly is a superior product. Question: the music is just as awesome. what is the title of the song and who plays it? GOOD JOB MEGUIAR's

  • woow

  • the left side is dull because it was applied the wax has dried and has not been polished. while the right side the wax was applied and polished instantly. was not invented anything

  • wow great vids

  • @centroamericano12 the left side is dull because it was applied the wax has dried and has not been polished. while the right side the wax was applied and polished instantly. was not invented anything

  • Fantastic! just added about 5000 to the cars value in less than 5 mins

  • what product should i use for oxidation where the clear coat is peeling away and where the clear coat is non existant anymore?

  • @caka23 if the clear coat is totally gone...nothing will work to get a show car shine unless you repaint it. You could try a pure glaze like M80 or something. For oxidation parts that still have clearcoat, simply a compound like M105 would work.

  • What's the amount of coverage of a single bottle? Would it be enough to do a SUV if need be?

  • @TheSpec1alOne I did a white Trail Blazer and white 4 door Civic with 1/2 the bottle.

I compounded the entire vehicles by hand. Yes you can do a suv with one bottle. It works great. Take Care

  • @V12smooth Thank You for the reply. My dad's 2007 pathfinder has some oxidation spots and scuffs here and there. Glad to know it'll be enough. Will the ultimate compound also remove all the small swirls on the vehicle if done by hand? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just getting into all of this detailing business :D

  • @TheSpec1alOne Meguiars Ultimate Compound will remove most of the swirls but to be safe I'd use Swirl-X after the compound. (That's what I did.)

  • i know the ultimate compound works ... i use it on my cars ... but you do any advertising benefits of this video a great disservice by using so little product on such a large area, not spreading it around well at all, and going far too quickly over such a large area ... people who think the paint was messed with have a valid point, it did look faked or "dressed up" ... but trust me people ... ultimate compound does work

  • hi what is better for hand and machine method? ultimate compound or swirl X i have a black merc with a lot of swirls? thanks

  • BFD

  • Hello meguiarsasia wich backing plate are on the Polisher wich size?

  • HOLY SHIIIIIIIIIIT...

Those "SWIRL MARKS" or holograms are frickin BAD... WOW...

  • Meguiars is simply the best. Use anything else but Meguiars and you regret it. I found this out the hard way. Keep up the awesome products.

  • everyone says to use Foam pads for this, but what about Microfiber or Terrycloth pads?

  • @leewardstyle those are not as good as foam since they absorb a lot of product which foam does not. You want the product going into the clearcoat to remove it and not into the towel.

  • shouldnt you be doing this indoors especially on a black car?

  • yes you should but we wanted to show the swirls that cannot be seen in a detailing room

  • More like taken to someone who thinks they know what they are doing with a buffer :/ Some of the cars I have seen at my local Lexus dealer are appaling... I feel like talking to them and telling them I can fix their car's paint!

  • Hi meguiarsasia, why do you not sell the M105 ultra-cut compound in such bottles in Malaysia? I was told that M105 is sold in 1 gallon packing. I'm just a hobbyist and 4.5 lires of the product will last me several lifetimes :(

  • @billjupliz if you contact Hypercoat, which is the sole distributor, they should be able to break it down into smaller bottles for you. They bring it into the country in gallon size due to mass needs. I will bring this up to them and hopefully they can bring in smaller bottles in the future.

  • why do you mask off the hood

  • @hiline345 it is masked off to see a before and after

  • Which product would be more abrasive out of the Ultimate compound and the Medium Cut Cleaner

  • @paulde777 the medium cut cleaner is a macro diminishing abrasive and is stronger than ultimate compound that is a super micro abrasive similar to M105.

  • Would it be a good idea to follow the ultimate compound with the NTX tech wax 2.0?

  • @dan9tran2 yes that would be a good idea

  • meguiars very much product......

so, if only swirl can use ultimate compound ??

  • @Liberaltedjo yes you can use that.....you can ALSO use swirlx which is especially made for swirls

  • wax water beading is collinite 915 wax

meguiar's have product like this ??

very much product, swirlX scratch X, 2.0, and ultimate compound

so if i buy ultimate compound no problem yea if my car only have swirl

  • @MrRichierich1990 just REALLY bad technique from a local Bangkok detail center.

  • I just ordered some of this, but does it "break down" like a polish? How long do you need to work it in with a DA polisher? How do you know when it's done?

  • @trencher7 it has similar technology to our professional m105 or m205, so it means it will stay wet. you want to work it in til it gets very shiny and ALMOST gone. With a DA..use it on 4-5 speed for cleaning with the G110 or G220. After this product you would polish/protect.

  • Awesome. Thanks for the tips!!

  • after this video i am definately getting my hands on this to go with my M105

  • if you wet sand, gently with out taking off the paint, doees this remove the clearcoat?

  • when you sand gently or non gently....some amount of clearcoat will always be taken off. It going to depend on your skill level on how much you remove. Sanding is normal though to achieve maximum results in shine and no orange peel.

  • Hey Meguiar!!! quick question is it possible to mess up your paint by buffing it for 1st timer?? Especially using the ultimate compound Is it that hard to learn how to buff a car?

  • using ultimate compound will not hurt your paint if you use it by hand or DA.

  • so it's okay to use this in the sun? the car doesn't have to be cool? Can I use an orbital buffer/polisher to apply this? Should I use a terrycloth pad? Will this help with my chalky looking paint on my car? Will it restore shine? I love these products so I picked up a bottle of Ultimate Compound. thanks in advance!

  • it should be used in the shade, yes you can use an orbital buffer or polisher. Terrycloth pad would work but microfiber or foam polishing pad is better. This product will bring back the shine and color, yes. After this product you should protect it with a product like tech wax 2.0.

  • ok great thx. i tried to clay it over, and repeat the 3 step system. it look ok then, but the scratch is still visible under the sunlight. anyway, it looked 60% better than before. one more ques, how long will the carnauba wax last and how many times i need to polish in a year? BIG THANKS!

  • Carnauba wax in hot and extreme sun will burn off within a short time, if you use UQW the protection will last forever as long as you maintain it!
