Heymans was try of the year.

This try was most significant try of the year but not the best.

Heymans individual brilliance was beautiful to watch, like Maradona scoring that goal against England.

Fourie's try was all about hard graft. Not the most pleasing on the eye, whereas Heymans try would make you want to pick up a rugby ball and play!

There were at least 3 or 4 tries better than this in the short-list. It was only a try due to poor defence. Maybe one of the most significant tries but definitely not the best.

Definitely the best try out of the 15 shortlisted, for a few reasons, them being its significance of putting SA into the lead, the time left to play in the game and to help clench a series victory against the Lions. These reasons apart from it being a brilliant effort 2 bulldoze three of the B&I's best with little more than 2 feet between him and the touchline and a good 20 meters from when he got the ball!

Heymans only had 2 sidestep 1 defender coming from the other direction.

O'Gara has never been a great defencer, but he remains a very good player I think. I also think that Heyman's try was more beautiful, but maybe that's because I'm French!!

Heymans try was a great solo effort dont get me wrong, but Fourie' try was scored in the corner at an extremely crucial moment in the Lions series and was a great team try which pretty much won the series for the Springboks (That and the 55m penalty by Steyn).

Heyman's try was good, but had nothing riding on it + All Blacks were shit in 2009.
