I recently was searching for a recipe for baking acorn squash and you don't have one! Tonight I'm fixing sweet potatoes and voila! back to Betty!
It's basically the same (40-60 min @ 400°) but if you were to take your butter and brown sugar mix and spread that all over the acorn squash (I also added some sprinkles of cinnamon and nutmeg) before you cook it, it comes out REAL TASTY!
You remind me of another cool Kentucky gal, Jackie DeShannon!
Same here. I'm now in Puerto Rico and I 'm miss the southern quisine of my friends mothers and grandmothers. thanks for the tips of for the sweet pototatoe. -dave
I am about to try this for my sweet potatoes I am cooking. Keeping it simple is the best way to enjoy the flavor of the food. I think I am going to be watching more of your videos.
Amazing and simple and So delicious! I am in love with the Brown sugar butter for the Sweet Potatoes. I live in Canada and always looking for a way to "warm up" the food here in the cold!
Well, I've been around a *long* time, and cooking has always been my hobby, so I have picked up a few unique things. I hope you are enjoying my recipes. I really appreciate your feedback!
I was suprised when you said on one of your previous video's how long you have been married. You certainly do not look as though you have been around a long time, you look WONDERFUL!! Your lovely food obviously does you good as well as other things in life, of course.
Your recipes are great for my husband and son's, I get stuck in ruts when it comes to creating a variety of different meals for them. I am trying a raw lifestyle for myself.
Thanks for your compliments! I am 60, so I *love* it when people estimate me to be younger. I am glad that I can give you some ideas for your husband and sons. I'm retired, so all of this is just a hobby for me! Thanks for your sweet words!
I love sweet potatoes.. I can't wait to try this.. and again, I love that you show your whole meal together at the end. You are doing a great job with your channel, Betty!
Yes, it will be as good as Longhorn's (maybe better with the brown sugar). Feel free to add cinnamon to the brown sugar/butter mixture to get that hint of flavor, too!
great idea! cinda funny how i found this i was watching your Betty's Fourth of July Strawberry-Blueberry Parfait Recipe and looked to the related videos and there was this one with 0 vews and then noitced that it just came out! so i wanted to be the first to watch rate and coment 3 birds with 1 awsem stone=] 5 star score!!
