Fhisingtraveler, It is fun for sure. The fishing is great but one of the best things is the peace and relaxing atmosphere of being away from it all for 7 fun filled days. No phone, no internet, no tv. Just you, nature, and a fishing rod.! Thanks for the post!

Continued... First couple days we were in explore mode trying to find the right spots. We did learn where the early spring fishing was but after the cold wave it pushed the fish into deeper water. We still landed several fish above the 35" mark with our biggest at 42". On the coldest day I landed a 30" monster walleye. He was happily placed back in the water and nick named Grand-Dad. 2010 we are heading back to lake minnis for some late spring fishing. Thanks to Doug for all his help at CLSJ!

2009 bought a lot of issues for not just our group but the world in general. We were still fortunate enough to still make the trip north. We decided to switch our dates to end of may and had a difficult time finding time with our original outfitter. LSJ outfitters had some opening so we opted to drive a bit further and try Lake SJ. Wow, what a huge lake! Unfortunately I didn't take as many pics but this is an awesome place as well. Only issue was it snowed on day 3 but we still managed to fish!
