Freakin Awesome!!! Just saw Y&T 2 days ago on Saturday and it was one of the best performances I've ever seen! Not that many bands sound this good live! HAPPY FUCKIN BIRTHDAY DAVID MENIKETTI!!! 12/12/2011
@stairwaytoheaven321 me too mate, that was one helluva concert! where now would you get a line up like that where Ozzy was third on the bill???? Used to go to lots of the Donington gigs but none better than 1984
Dave is not afraid to wear pink clothes. He does not hate anyone. He only has love in him. This is the future by the way in heavy metal. And love and peace for all living beings is the future in general.
one of my favorite rock songs ever made! such a great song! he truly does have one of the best rock voices ever and they were and still are one of the most underrated rock bands ever, never got the recognition or the respect that they deserved! ! image meant nothing, it was all about the music with these guys!!
I was just thinking of this tune when it came up on the recommend list. Y&T never got the recognition they rightfully deserved, when so much garbage is fed into the airwaves that I have just quit turning on the radio.
What kind of douche bag doesnt like this? This is Y&T at the VERY BEST......Awesome version of this song and if you are not familiar with Y&T this is one hell of a punch in the face.......KUDOS to who ever posted this....
@itgfreak100 THAT IS FUCKING AWESOME! I'm one of Phil's nephews, Steven, his oldest and only sister is my mother and I know that your comment caught my eye. I found some pictures today from years ago and I've got one on my facebook of my uncle trying to do a wrestling pose with me on his oldest brothers back porch. I'll never forget that for as long I shall live.
I used to live in the Bay Area, saw these guys in 85 I think it was at the Oakland Coliseum, Day on the Green with the Scorpions! Ha! I remember KRQR :D
Y&T is the f*cking baddest... period! They still bring down the house, and BTW Dave, Phil, Leonard and Joey are from OAKLAND< CA. Dave went to O'dowd High School, Phil went to Skyline and Leonard went to San Leandro High. Dude, they will be back at the Fillmore on May 22nd with Mike and John of course.... They Kill dude
Edinburgh '82 supporting dc; sound was truly awful unfortunately. Great song, me and my mates listened to it, I think, on one of those floppy fake vinyl thingys, about a week before the gig. Perhaps it was free with kerrang?! Was my first big gig, so Y&T my first live band!
One of the best voices in rock and one of the most underrated bands in rock. They don't make 'em like this anymore (sadly). Its even more amazing when you realize this was recorded live.
Actually they're from the East Bay (Closer to Oakland) and started around 76. I remember walking with friends drunk off my ass in Alameda (where testament is from) and hearing them play a small venue in a small hall back around 83-84. this was the song if I remember correctly.
They definitely WEREN'T playing small venues in 83-84 in the bay area. By that time they were headlining large venues like The Warfield, Kaiser Convention Center, SF Convention Center, SJ Convention Center, etc. They were supporting large acts at Arenas like the Cow Palace and Oakland Coliseum. BTW, they're from Hayward.
Eagles Hall, Alameda. In the early mid 80s they were playing one night. It wasn't a cover band. There were fliers posted in front and on several telephone poles in the neighborhood.
@jevdemon I totally agree...Y&T is by far superior to 99.9% of the bands out there, unfortunately, most people like pretty boys (like Poison), instead of great music
@jevdemon You and everyone else out here rock when it comes to your support of Y&T. Please keep my uncle in your prayers and just know I respect every fan of Y&T and I know the rest of the family does too. :-)
AHHH.... the old days. When there was TRUE rock. Not some contrived corporate B.S. This was when they were at their best, before glam got its evil hooks in them.......
