@elvin234: Your kitu kidogo statement makes no sense. Want to rephrase? The question of voting in absentia is not a policy matter, it is about effectuating civil rights guaranteed in the constitution. Kenyans abroad currently participate in the political and social life in Kenya thru proxy and do not enjoy the fruits of their labor. The least that could be done is to stop denying them their civil duties. Refusing to vote is a crime in some countries.
We fought for this right to vote becuase it is our birth right. We never intended it to be the talking point for politicians every time the travel abroad. My question is: how can we vote if you have refused to register us? Voting goes like this: 1)you establish identity, 2) YOU ISSUE A VOTING CARD and 3) you make it possible for us to have either voting centers or electronic voting. The next time an official comes and tells you that you will vote, ask him/her, HOW? We need voter registration!
Wonder how this will work though. On one hand it takes clear-headed diasporans who will not receive "kitu kidogo" as far as they are to vote in sensible people. On the other hand, they are not really in ground zero to effectively see and experience the effects of their choices.Dilemma. But a good start in policy-making, to consider all kenyans. It is valuable, same way most sensible countries have discovered this; considering all their citizens wherever they be.
And why exactly do you need Kenyans in the diaspora to vote not like you can or do anything for us out here...do you know of the agony of renewing a Kenyan passport through some never staffed Hugh commission(s) that i know of
politicians,PLEASE GIVE US A BREAK!AM SICK AND TIRED OF THIS BS,EACH TIME THESE DUDES COME HERE THIS IS THEIR SONG.STOP THIS JUST LET US KNOW WHEN IT HAPPENS.THNX FOR NOTHING AND FOR SPENDING THE TAX PAYERS MONEY USELESSLY!!
i have a feelin this might be a new route for them to rig elections.ebu lets think how those votes wil be transported??nashuku sana!iin another perspectiv kenyans outsyd do need to vote.
one just wonders why these Kenyans in the diaspora i.e. in this audience sit back & entertain the blatant hypocricy, pretentiousness & political showmanship that these so called leaders r obviously engaged in? That they r almost never held to account for their nonsense is what emboldens these fellows. The diaspora community should not allow them a pass... zero tolerance!!!such opportunities don't come easy so wakitokea hizi pande swaga hao kabisa!!!! n fwd the same back home!
You apes, is kenya first a country or a name of wat used to be a state now inhibitted by chempazees. this monkeys must be day dreaming. my advice is short and clear for fellow humanbeings, just incase u are blessed hav any kind of assets or belongings in kinya then now is your chance to sell everything. i know for sure this animals will finish eat each other in one day.
Raia (wherever they're) are not the problem YoU politicians are the problem. And the sooner the average Kenyan at home knows this the better it will be for the country.
Its good to see this political elites trying to fool kenyans in diaspora. Mark my words. " You can not full kenyans in diaspora" All you care about is your wallet you do not represent kenyans. How much does a MP makes? How long did it take you guys to approve your allowances? How come you adamantly refused to pay for taxes while a civil servants making peanuts are getting taxed? what a disgusting pathogens! do you guys mind about horrible state a common kenyan lives? You call yourself kenyans??
The political class as Kalonzo puts it, is playing games with kenyan people in particular one Mr. Namwaba who is on this trip. This guy is one term MP.
