  • This isn't for vegan. /:

  • This isn't vegan because of the honey but otherwise nice recipe you can probably substitute agave nectar instead of honey

  • I'm making these right now...marinating the tofu, can't wait to try them later.

  • hey

I don't understand what she says. I not speak english.

Can you tell me how she cook the tofu? I mean, what she use to give the flavor to the tofu?

    thanks!

  • soy sauce

    lemon juice

    honey

    ginger, grated

    garlic, minced

You'll have to pause for measurements.

  • I'm vegan so I will use agave nectar instead of honey. I will definitely try this recipe! Thanks much!

  • what dairy is there in honey? my gf is a vegan and eats honey

  • It's clearly not dairy. But it is an animal product, therefore many vegans don't use it.

  • animal poduct. animals make it, bears eat it. why dont you eat honey? jw

  • Because bees don't make it for us to eat. Bees make it to feed their young, not us. (Bears also eat rotting fish carcasses found on the beach - they do so to survive, not having access to a grocery store). Chickens lay eggs to raise young, not so billions of humans can eat. See the connection? They have their own purpose in life, and it's not to serve the whims of the human species. By the way, did you know that half the world's bee population has declined? What does that mean for farming?

  • lyke omg r u serious? ¬¬

  • Lots of bees die in the process of honey harvesting

  • Is that rally an argument against honey? Many mice die in soy bean harvesting

  • @MonyMG1959 oh so the complete destruction of natural land and the animals that live therein because human need to clear regions for our vegetable crops is okay for a vegan? I never understood veganism. Be vegetarian for health benefits I can understand, but veganism is just self-contradictory.

  • @gariadara I think you are misinformed, way more land is used to grow crops to feed farm animals than is used to grow food for human consumption. I think you should probably check your facts before you start making comments like this.

  • @wowetflutter Oh, so it's a case of who's doing "less" damage?! So it makes it okay for a vegan to clear land to grow food for human consumption because it is less natural habitat destroyed? So where does the margin lie? under 100 acres is fine but above is not? FYI, you're the one with the burden of proof, not me.

  • I never got the boycotting of honey. I'm a vegan and I eat it

  • Nice

  • It's very easy to be a vegan in Japan...just eat rice! It's everywhere!

  • Can you put the ingredients in the description box?

  • actually honey is a debatable element of a vegan diet, some vegans do eat it if it comes from a trusted organic/free range source

  • honey isn't vegan my friend... :/

  • Thank you for your contribution. You can use honey or fructose, or agave, the show is not vegan, it is both, so there are options. Cooking is about being creative. Namaste

  • umm honey isn't vegan.

  • Hare Krishna Chintamani Lila,

This is very well done. Do you think you could give us that eat satvic the alternative mesurement for hing or asophotita?

    Jai, thanks! jy

  • YOu can just leave the garlic out of the marinade.I normally like to cook the hing a little first before putting it in a dish, so I wouldn't use it in here unless you fried it a little first in the pan and then I would only use a 1/4 teaspoon. Namaste

  • Its so difficult to be a vegetarian in Japan. they put a little meat or fish or fish juice into everything. Cannot even find Ramen with veggie flavor!

I have ended up cooking veggie meals at home myself. Japan is truly hell for vegetarians.

  • I have never been to Japan but I have heard from my friend who does live in Japan that when I visit there I will have an incredibly hard time eating vegan unless I prepare my own meals.

  • This looks really good. I'm going vegan so I'll replace the honey with a different liquid sweetener.

  • how did it come out? garlic, what?

  • Vegetarianism is no longer a rarity and it would be such a breath of fresh air to tune in to the Food Network and hear "tofu" instead of "artery clogging bacon"!! You're like the female and veggie version of Jamie Oliver- you've got the pazazz gurl so go for it!! We need more people like you in the vegetarian community to advocate healthy cooking. Oprah needs to see this, she'll be all over it. Oprah! OprahhhhhhhhhH!

  • To make it vegan, use agave nectar or maple syrup instead of honey.

  • not bad for a home video keep working on it

  • Chintamani I'm so happy that you're doing this. I forsee that you can become very successful promoting vegetarianism and perhaps even get a show on the food network.

  • I hope to see "more-a, more-a" of Mana Mana! (The editing was good too!) ;o)

  • mahna mahna get it right

  • Actually, it's Maha Mana...get it right.

  • Cant wait to try your Sushi recipe! Will keep watching for your next great video. I agree 11 out of 10!

  • I love MahaMana! The host is fab and the food looks delicious:) If there were 10 stars I would give 11:)

  • This is excelent do you have anymore recipies ...
