Romanian rhythmic gymnast too :D, personally I think these Chinese routines are better than the typical Romanian ones, but I wouldn't be surprised if she choreographed Ana Porgras's routine!!
ouch!! howcome u say that?? romanian routines will always, always have been better than Chinese routines!! the thing u said about Ana P...I agree....nowadays many gymnasts copy typical romanian choreo and songs...a bit sad really!
Well Chinese routines are in a way choreographed by Adriana Pop so they are Romanian. The bubbly routines of Yuyuan and Linlin and the dynamic performances of Cheng Fei would beat any "old-school" Romanian any day. Romanian routines are predictable, easy tumbling elements with bad form and watching paint dry between them. But the very best floor routines are from the Russians- they become more and more innovative not just artistry but tumbling too! Ana Porgras has brought it to Romania.
aha I've heard of her she is quite good and how dare u call Romanian routines old-school?! we've been wining medals on the floor ever since 1956...most of them gold and anyway..as long as u get gold(or any medal) your form and tumbling elements will always be hard..I don't think Romania's form is bad! Russia..well are good BUT what was the last medal they got? not at olympics or worlds..prob ever since 2007! hopefully next year the juniors will bring more artistry because they are real talented!
I think he/she means Romanian routines of the 90s. Which were a little tedious, you have to admit, but with a few gems--Vanda Hadarean's, Alexandra Marinescu's and Andreea Raducan's routines were always a treat to watch.
And, of course, now Romanian routines have as good a chance as any of being innovative and creative, etc. Ana Porgras, Raluca Haidu, Diana Chelaru, and Larisa Iordache have lovely routines.
No, I don't admit it! Romanian routines in the 90s were great! Nowadays, it just keeps getting better and better! I hope it stays that way and that the Romanians will win more and more medals!
Great routine, Chinese choreography has grown over the years with the Romanian choreographer :), nice bubbly routine with great tumbling, reminiscent of Jiang Yuyuan.
Was she deducted for not combining the leap series starting at 1:10?
I guess after winning beam gold and qualifying 7th to the floor final and having one of her teammates in medal position she probably didn't care :P.
She has a tiny bit of choreography in it though...in 2006 Sacramone did a bit of choreography between her leap series in prelims so she didn't advance to the final to repeat her title but she fixed it in the team final.
great performance with such orginal style!

usually this type of choreo is performed by Romanians...which explains it because the choreographer is Romanian!

The leap series was counted as connected because you are allowed to have little steps or turns in between the leaps I think.
