So download the firmware it says process the firm ware and Run through red snow and pray ur iphone boots and jailbreaks then backup

OKAY I KNOW HOW TO FIX IT: just download redsnow and the software you got on your ipod /iphone open up redsnow select the software and wait for it to load up xD

its 7 weeks and it turn on and i try restore it and stuff.. but error 1611.. oh and i did restore it one but nufin happened.. just said resore complete bla bla.. so annoyed.. no insurance aswell. grrr :@

its true what pogimestiso said. because my ipod fell in water and it had battery problems like not starting up unless i plug it in and most of the times when i plug it in it shows a battery with the lightning bolt in it which means its charging but it doesn't move from the amount that its at. and when it does start up right it shows a full charged battery but if i unplug it it shuts off and i cant turn it back on unless i plug it in. so i'm guessing it has something to do with the battery

wow error 1611 I havnt got that one yet lol Im gettin 1604 now but i did the same thing u did in yo vid im pissed I did what travisfrancisybot told me to do but same error i tried to restore in dfu mode got error 1601 im mad...but i havt got 1611 yet.. im jeleous...

i had error 1611 when i tried to jailbreak with ziphone with firmware 2.0...Finally after 3-4 hours, restore worked. Looking around the internet and after hours of searching forums, it seems 1611 is tied to the amount of battery power left. If all else fails, charge your ipod for a couple of hours and then retry restore again. Or just keep trying restore and it will take!~!

yeah i just got that today, i was stuck on the apple logo on 1.1.4 jailbroken and then i restored it to 2.0 and got that error. i tried 3 times and on the 4th time it seems to be working, it says restoring iphone software...so just keep trying. for one guy it took 26 tries, yeah so keep doing it...that is if you didnt fix it already

To get into DFU mode from this state, hold the 2 buttons for about 5-6 seconds, not 10! Screen will go black, let go of power and hold home for another 10 seconds. Computer should detect your phone in DFU mode. If the apple logo came up, you've held the 2 buttons for too long. Hope that helps.

I fixed the problem very easy you have to let the phone charge for 10 hours (not by usb only direct with electricity) and than try to restore it from itunes, it works :)
