just some suggestions for you:

1) use alternate picking all the time if u want a more clean sound

2) 2:23 to 2:52 is really awful... practice harder... and not only in that part... but the whole piece... expecially in bendings.

3) try to find a "better" tone for your guitar: this sound, for me, it's too sharp and dirty, but it's all about tastes

4) use your soul man... seems like you are doing it not by your will XD

The best way to learn sweep picking, or the easiest way i found was to find an arpeggio that you can easily get down with your left hand, then start to metronome drill and just slowly slowly slowly keep working your way up on the speed side, its intensely boring, but it works.

i like tube amps because you don't get a square-wave if you overdrive your pre-amp. i have a fender because I think they sound better then gibson, but i don't say gibsons suck, because they don't but the sound is different. the guy from the vid likes ibanez more then gibson. and maybe transistor more then tube (who know's). but respect the choise of the other players and don't say his gear sucks.
