I have been many times in the beer tent at air shows and go until either the blue Angels the Thunderbirds order Snowbirds that the Red Arrows are the best and wait for comments. They are all very professional teams I even met the Frecca Tricolore Italian team the year after the Ramstein incident in Germany. You have to understand that these are elite groups and their very competitive so the truth is in the eye of the beholder. I was military ATC Canadian Military.

Speculator to watch! Red Arrow, Snowbirds they all have their own specialties. I love them all! Its very difficult to fly formation doing daredevil maneuvers.

@Erik0219 if you get down to the lakeshore by Marilyn Bell park you can get perfect FREE viewing spots - even right beside the VIP area - which is perfect for filming and have the planes fly right over you. In '09 I was both along the lakeshore park and VIP area (when you hear the commentator in the background, that's in the VIP area).

I have seen both teams and must say the Red Arrowsare a better team overall. Funny you should say " go Navy" since the US navy lacked an advanced trainer..they wound up buying the BAE Hawk, renamed it the GosHawk, and have used it ever since..lol

it was rude in 2009 how the people in the condos of downtown toronto complained about how they were too loud when they were practising, if you dont wanna hear it put somthing in your ears and dont wreack it for the other people.the blue angles didnt come here for a long time and people would like to see them and complaining makes them feel nonwelcomed here in toronto so they might not come back again. so PLEASE do not complan in 2010 or the rest of the years. thank you

Ive had the pleasure of being stationed in both Pensacola, FL and El Centro, CA where the Blues spend most of their time throughout the year. The visual stuff is exciting of course, but what gets me EVERY time is the SOUND these aircraft make as they pass overhead. That is what STILL gives me goosebumps. Nothing like it.

That was great! I love to watch the jets and was on the waterfront on Labour day to see the show.

It looks more dramatic on film. One drawback is that you can't allways get the jets on film if they're flying around in different directions.

Awesome Airshow! Hope The Angels return next year!

My fav moment was the separation of the 2 solo pilots during the High Alpha pass, was so loud once the Afterburners kicked in, I couldnt hear my friends beside me scream at the top of their lungs...Awesome!

If you ever get the chance to go to Pensacola Florida to watch the Blue Angels Practice in March/April Mon Tues Wed at 8 in the morning it is well worth it. There is a huge US Naval Air Museum there and it is an awesome collection of planes and history.
