  • Was Gene Watson the person who originally did this song. For some reason, I was thinking this was a Lefty Frizzell song. Love your playing Mickey. I have listened to some great pedal steel players in my short life (I am 42). Two that I have recently enjoyed listening to are from RFD-TV programs. Gary Carter on The Marty Stuart show and Mike Johnson who plays on the Country Family Reunion program. If there were an instrument I wish I could play, it would be this one for sure. God Bless!!

  • ya know Mickey, i have played this a 100 ways but i believe i like this pretty much the best! its cool as hell man! good stuff brother!! kenny

  • I have always loved the steel guitar just never learned it.But i love watching it be played it takes alot of talent thanks for sharing your talent

  • Keith Whitley's version of this, with the brand new 2nd verse for his "Don't Close Your Eyes" album was far better and more emotional in my opinion. Gene Watson had some great pedal steel songs also, of course.
