I really do not reccomond if you're under 40 to 45. to be here. please help us from the outside of Japan. guess we're dying little by little... 悔しいっす!
Ah, memories of March. We don't feel the aftershocks as much anymore, but I think I kind of got used to it. I was on the 4th floor in my school in Yokohama.
and im there to study, its a super hard decision for me to go back to my own country since i alr made up my mind to study there. like u said, u cant leave, i can understand that.. its hard to explain but its just like that..
and the shake during the video,im just feelling i was there too...
its just horrible, this world is going crazy..
we have to stay strong no matter what, i will pray for u and pls stay safe!!
this is my first time watching ur videos but i will do that in the future. take care
im so touched by watching ur videos, esp when u talked abt ur responsibility of taking care of the kids.. i just think that u are so great! please stay safe!!
actually i kinda know how u feel right now.. a few weeks ago, i went to new zealand and experienced my very first earthquakes over there! it was horrible! i never experienced it, i dont know what to do... its just like what u said u duno if the place is really shakin or just u.
Good to see you safe. At least we can get a P.O.V from someone like yourself who actually lives there. The media over here are just over sensationalizing the whole issue and you don't know what to believe. Anyways again, good to see you well and keep us up to date. P.S: Yeah, I noticed the sounds of wind in your vid, INSIDE your house lol! maybe the windows up... ;) P.P.S: Donate, people. :)
The constant stress affects people's biorhythms in subtle ways beyond normal logic. Please listen to your gut instinct and know that nothing is written in stone. If it feels safe to stay, stay, but if it changes don't second guess yourself. Things have a way of working out in the least expected ways. My great grandmother lived through the Kanto Dai Shansai and my grandmother and mother through WWII where they had to evacuate multiple times. They certainly didn't expect to end up in the US.
I understand about the kids. I work at a daycare with 2 year olds and yeah it's tough getting their shoes on and helping them in an emergency. I mean I've never been in an emergency with them but we practiced for fire drills and we were constantly counting them and making sure they stayed in a straight line. I can't even imagine how tough it would be to get them to the ground floor of a building during an emergency.
@forgottenmemories21 thats the one thing i dont get, if its an emergency, why make a straight line, they need to get out asap, a straight line will slow down/ waste valuable time
@kawaiilolita1291 because they're preschoolers. Putting them in a straight line gives them order, keeps them safe, and makes it easier to keep track of numbers. They don't have a grasp of the situation so you can't expect them to get out as fast as they can. Some of the 3 and 4 year old boys started chasing each other around the parking lot and playing around even during the aftershocks.
Good to hear that you and your husband are safe. Thank you very much for posting and letting your virtual friends here know you are ok. Take care, be safe!
@33Sammi32 Ah yeah. First thing I did was look out the window to see if I could see any buildings swaying.
I heard about teachers of small children nearer the epicenter, had to gather them up and hold on to stage curtains as the waters rushed in. They saved lives. You saved lives by keeping the little ones under the table. Aye, I can't imagine running to another country after heroism like that.
@ElevenColors I can't imagine...we got off so lightly...just under the table and out the door, nothing in the rooms even fell down except for a wall clock. In the office a filing cabinet fell forward. Luckily we had a few kids, if something worse had happened I think we would have just grabbed 2 kids each and protected them.
Thank you updating us. I don't live in Japan but I think I know what you mean. My fiance actually lives in Japan and although he is safe but I am still worried. He lives in the Chubu region and so he had to experience another earthquake(6.1 magnitude?), power outage, and barely any food left in the stores. I know others have it way worse, but I can't help but to worry about him. I wish I can be there with him now.
It was wonderful to get an English vlog from you, I wish you could do more of them because my Japanese isn't at your level, and I can't always hear well. The Japan disasters and subsequent natural disaster are breaking my heart. Part of me wishes I could be there, but the other part of me is glad that I'm not during this scary time. I'm glad that you and your husbands family is safe. Best of luck, ganbatte ne!
Glad that you and your husband are okay. You guys were one of the first people I thought of when I heard about what happened. Hope things get better real soon.
I completely understand what you mean. Despite how worried my family back home might be, I can't just leave. Then maybe I'd be safe, but what about my family here? I'd just be in the position my parents and friends in the states are in now...
you know we had real bad wind the night of the earthquake and we just thought man that was very differant.just wonder if all the dead fish and dead birds have some kind of connection.dead birds in arkansas and i believe arizona.dead fish in arkansa and california.
Here in california we go through earthquakes, but i can only imagine what all of you went through.GOD bless all of you and know we all here have all of you in our thoughts.
Oh gosh, that is so scary. I remember when I was in Japan, I saw the ornaments on our Christmas tree shaking because of an Earthquake (sometime in the mid-90s), but it wasn't as extreme as yours. Please take care always!!!
