thing is that the voice actors don't speak latin, and are singing the song phonetically. i myself wondered if it was latin, because the words had that sort of latin feel to them, but they're just singing with japanese accents.

They're probably singing it phonetically since the performers likely cannot speak in Latin. Also they are singing with Japanese accents. All the more reason why this is an exceptional work.
