I saw them do this song live at the death and black metal festival in Detroit. Bad ass. Great fun. Saw Cradle of Filth too. If you learn a little music theory you'll find out it's just another musical scale/ mode than minor/ major which make sit sound so dissonant. I can't tell for sure right now if it's phrygian or locrian, but both these modes are used all over the world for folk songs dealing with warriorship, death and transformation. Just try another angle of view!
