  • thank's to post it

  • Sweet!!

  • Have to remember on the engine size that airplane has lots of parasitic drag it needs the hp.

  • Great video..!

  • That MONSTER of an engine is a little overkill, but I guess it is reliable... W&B was a likely problem? Nice photog. I wonder if people on the ground thought they were looking at a box kite... it definitely would have been a double take.

  • @SR8CReliant

Actually the original engine had a lot more cubic inches, so it's not overkill at all, probably just about right.

  • Congratulations Bob. The videos are brilliant. People should really be told how Glenn Curtiss was the real developer of the airplane in America not the Wrights who stopped development in 1905. Hope to see you at Oshkosh next year.

  • The engine is a 125 hp Continental C-125

  • This is so legit. Awesome!

  • 99 Years since this was designed and flown! Amazing! Glenn Curtis sure had something right -- flight controls of the future compared to wing warping of the Wright Bros. But.. that engine.... Glenn never had an engine like that! Looks like a six cyl IO-540? 550? I see a radiator, but that's for looks? (air cooled engine).

Nonetheless, it sure appears to fly stable and controllable.

  • Brrrrr! not a winter flyer!!!

  • i bet this thing never over heats! good looking plane. i love it.
