  • im canadian and i listen out for the canadian accent whenever i get a chance...its really hard to find here in ontario but if ur lucky like me and work in a boring ass warehouse with old canadian motha fuckas u can here it...and by the way if anyone wants a real glimpse of how canadian living goes watch the greatest movie ever called FUBAR (aka fucked up beyone all recognition) those are some real canadians for ya

  • Canadians don't pronounce 'out' and 'about like that. Maybe if your deep Canadian, but not all. I definitely don't.

  • You remind me of a young eddie izzard.

  • YOUR FUCKKING STUPID THE ONLY FUCKING CANADIANS THAT TALK LIKE THAT ARE FROM THE PRARIES ,AND STILL ITS NOT HALF AS BAD AS SOUTHERN USA

  • i think this guys on crystal meth

  • lmao. Only some canadians say Oat and aboat. xD I honestly don't think I have an accent, but I get told that it is there....but mine is more french canadian because I live in Quebec.

  • @hockeygirllovesjesus Yeah, I live in Ontario, and I've never heard anyone pronounce it like "oat and aboat".

  • @EliteTarget

i want to meet a canadian that says oat and aboat...

  • LOL, it would be sooo interesting to date you..

  • LOL this kid is a faggot

  • @Bluejayfan32HD Agreed.

  • I like all tha accents. Im Canadian and often say 'eh'. I love Canada but America. Those lucky bastards have a billion accents! Im not offended by the video, most Canadians probably aren't either, but the one accent we have is sooo stereotyped haha.

  • I love it when Canadians talk like aboot, lol[:

  • @killjoy3883 well we doont so...

  • I'm canadian and I've never heard a canadian say "oot" or "aboot".

  • @furubaluver101 It's not exactly "aboot" but it's pretty close. Maybe closer to "abaoot" whereas Americans just say "owt".

  • I like all accents. Its culteral. I live in Ontario Canada and I never hear anyone say aboot. LOL We all laugh about that here... I think its more the eastern part of canada that says aboot. AND theres nothin wrong with it! :)

  • @xuorigailaht Yeah I think it may be small-town east-coast thing... i've heard it a number of times here in the maritimes, only really from older people now though so maybe it's dying out... but in the Maritimes at least, a lot of us definitely have an accent, and some strange expressions.

  • @ShiroiChoHime My favorite expression, from my friend in PEI telling someone she thought he was cute: you ain't a wee bit handsome neither are ya?

I might have it a bit wrong, but it sure cracked me up.

  • @xuorigailaht I live in Eastern Canada (NB) and I've never heard anyone say aboot except as a joke.

  • @taymalin Here it's more like abowt.

  • @xuorigailaht check out chickenturtlehorse's channel...they got a lot more than just aboot

  • If We ACTUALLY did have an "accent", then, I would say, ...Awesome! But, I like going OUT and ABOUT! (No one here, says it like that, but, what evs....)

  • a black dude with a white face lol ha ha ha

  • ha ha ha this is so funny lol ha ha i have a german accent lol i get such a kick out of this guy he is maken a fool of himself lol

  • @westernstar4000 sometimes that's all it takes to have a little fun bud! :)

  • @Aice2313 lol ya i don't care every body is entitled to there own opinion life to short to take every thing serious

  • seriously oout and aboout im canadian and i really dont talk like that

    APOLOGIZE TO ME

  • if you're from africa......why are you white

  • @withjusticeand The countries that make up Africa were colonized brutally by British, French and American occupiers. Basically, people from these countries would fight to claim the land, resources, and in many cases slave power throughout the continent. Colonialism did not formally end until after WW2. Apartheid, genocide, lots of murder, severe displacement of people from their land... Anyhow, that explains why there are 'white' people there...Canada and US as well.

  • This guy's a f*cking joke. oot and aboot, i've never heard a Canadian say that. What a douche. You sound like the biggest queer ever dude, going on about your accent like it sounds good and ours sounds weird... what? You sound like you got a bag of dicks in your mouth.

  • @Mattyk194 Shut up you downy cunt, no one asked for your opinion. If you don't like his voice/accent, then fuck off and go have gay bum sex with the rest of your dribbler friends.

  • Btw, you have the valley girl accent too. All younger people especially but as well as just about everyone in society because no one has a mind of theirselves that they can't not be influenced by accents on tv and around them. That's also where the fast 5 words per second comes from.

  • His girl in the class accent is absolutely right. And it's not Canadian or American even but valley girl, and it's the most exported accent to every major city on the damn planet thanks to television and American pop 'culture'. Nothing else of what he said sounds right to me but then I've only been in Toronto.

  • ive lived in canada and i have yet to hear someone say oooout and abooooout... but then again i may just be used to it.

  • You're really cute, let's have sex.

  • Im From Toronto, Dont Get Toronto & Canada mixed, yes Toronto is in Canada But The Speech There Is Completely different... and talk about ur accent before you talk about other "llikee...(your retarded face)"

  • @ImSoWavyJuheard LOL, toronto person here too!! LOL

  • I love being a Canadian, I love our accents! Canada stand up!

  • I like the Ontario accent of out and about, I jsut say Ontario because it might be slightly different in other areas but I have not heard them. I love it, I was teaching English in China for a few months in the summer and that was such a good ice breaker, it was funny and most of all I thought I was just plain cool. Oh yeah, KOOL! I would have to say though that I never noticed it until I went there, however agreed I hate how young ''girls'' talk nowadays.

  • canadians dont say oot or aboot. Unless you have a really strong newfie accent, we say out and about....

  • all canadians dont say oot, i say out.

  • @tlrs34

Ahh. Yeah I've never been to NS and haven't really met anyone from there so that might be why. I don't hear eh all that often either. For some reasons I feel like scottish people may say that quite a bit as well but that may just be the people I've heard talking.

  • @omgxwtfxnoodles its a nova scotia thing..we say out and about..and it don't sound like aboot more sounds like aboat... but thats where he's getting that from..but they also think that everyone in Canada says Eh ..when they don't..so i guess its the same thing with out and about (aboot).. they think everyone says it

  • I'm from Canada, and I have heard people say 'aboot' very seldom, but most of us say 'about' normally. Well like other speaking countries we have our own way of saying certain words.

We are who we are :D

  • What up, dude! >;-)

  • Ur really cute =) I have been told that we americans pronounce our vowels really long haha yea we cool tho, us Americans r all cool =P

  • HOW GAY!!! is this guy!!??? You know Sh@t about Canadians and the Irish....

  • what do u think about UR accent? when someone has an 'accent' they dont actually kno they have an accent.

  • @winditup78 people tell me i have an accent all the time, and i know i do. everyone has an accent of some sorts, i was just really stupid and immature when i made this video

  • @xKrazyJawz I know i know... I made this video when i just got here.

  • @KnucklesMcOuch I live in Canada, come at me :D

  • Why do americans say rough instead of roof

  • Canadians say about bro just sayin never abot

  • i would like to drop kick this guy. Please come to Canada, so i can drop kick you. That would be great.

  • lets go oot and aboot

  • your fucking hot

  • im canadain, i say "aboat" not about.

some of my words come out british.

but my best friends mom is british and i spent a lot of time over there growing up.

idk, to me canadians all sound simular unless your a newfie or live in quebec.

or an imigrant, we have lots of those...

  • omg eh.

  • Not everyone one talks the same. Not all of Canada sounds Irish lol. No one I know says oot and aboot, in each part of the country there are different "dialects" same as in the US and as I am sure in your country.

  • I don't think Canadians have the worst accents out there. Some places in the US have some pretty funky accents too. Also, most Canadians with that "Irish" thing going on are from Newfoundland. Their accents are much thicker than most, so don't confuse all Canadians with the Newffies there Bud.

  • I don't understand a word this guy says.

  • Bhahaha The only time I've heard Irish in Canada where I live (on the west) Is in the east Provences but that's not popular on the west at all.. And you are utterly hilarious hahaha Whatta character you are! Hahaha I loved the end with the I like rise against !

  • awks when the majority of canadians don't pronouce words like that...

  • Dude im canadian, And we dnt have irish accents! If your born in ireland or from newfoundland then you have an irish accent! Unless you were born in those places and moved somewhere else! I have lived in canada sense i was born and traveled to other places and i have never heard any canadian say "aboot"...

  • Well, I've listened to plenty of my Candadian peeps say "aboot" and some of our American soaps with Canadian actors always say it. Bree Williamson on One Life To Live, I could hear her accent when she first came on the show. It was really strong to me. But then again, everyone on that show is supposed to be from mainline PA, and I'm from Philly and no one on the mainline speaks that way. LOL.

  • Dude, you don't sound right!!!

  • I'm Canadian, from the capital actually...ya I don't talk like that, the guy in the movie was probably from the states, speaking in a stereotypical east coast Canadian accent!

  • the american way of speaking is rarely used in movies if you havent realised that lol

  • Cool

  • well at least canadiabs dont make war all of the time and spend some more time in canada in diffrent not just qubec

  • Hmm, I never really put much thought into whether we put more accent on the T then Americans. I'll be sure to pay more attention to it next time.

A reason why I think some may pronounce the "ou" as "oo" is because in French (which happens to be one of the languages here), that's the way "ou' is articulated. For example, the word heavy in French is "lourd" but the way you say it sounds like your saying "loor".

Not sure if that made much sense though.

  • Stereotyping a country off of what you see in movies or based off of one person is kind of rude wouldn't you say? To be completely honest, where I'm from in Canada I hadn't even heard of the "aboot" stereotype until a few years ago. Even now that I have heard of it, I've yet to meet a Canadian who pronounces it that way. Anyway, I just figured I might as well throw my two cents in.

You have an interesting accent yourself, by the way. :)

  • @omgxwtfxnoodles well thank you for that last sentence.and yeah, like i've said before, this video was just made for my friends to see originally, and people tend to think i actually know what i'm talking about here or at least they think that i think i know what I'm talking about, which i didn't at the time. canadians just have an accent like everyone else, and the way they pronounce "out" is just funny, because they annunciate the "t" unlike americans. anyways, keep well :)

  • @Aice2313 you are such a typical Canadian. I'm from the USA and i personally don't like the Canadian accent but it's better than the English accent. No but i really like Canada and i think of them as the country i root for next the the US.

  • @omgxwtfxnoodles I am from Southern Ontario,Canada and I have not heard any Canadian pronounce "about" like "aboot" they need to hear more Canadians talk so they can see for themselves.

  • U peice -O SHIT You suck u have a horrifiying accent and Canadians and Americans are the same thing. A HOLE

  • the end was so necessary XD

  • @Nivlektehfudger i know right?? :p well thanks for enjoying it somewhat!

  • People often categorize accents by country but fact of the matter is that there are many different accents within one country. Personally I am an eastern Canadian(maritimes) and I sound nothing like someone from lets say Ontario or Alberta etc.

  • @Sylvis5921 Totally. I wish people would understand that.

  • he doesnt even look gay you weirdos get over yourselves and stop being so bloody judgemental its 2012 not 1932

  • i'm canadian... we don't say out like that...

  • im irish and i dont say out and about like that lmaoo and i dont see te differences in american accents and canadian accents

  • @kevzz879 thank you! there is no difference between our accents! haha unles it's like from southern states, or like in the east of canada.

  • Lmao

  • Canadians say ABOUT, NOT ABOAT OR OOT... i dont know where you guys get that from

  • americans say out like - OUUUUUUUUUUUU ... silent - TTTT .. the t is so fucking silent... canadians say out right, we have the proper english here.

  • @TheKidkilla23 kinda sounds like ouch LOL

  • Yea no, not one person in Canada actually says "aboot" or "Oot", nor do American girls talk like that unless they are totally retarded.

  • This made me laugh a lot! haha. I'm american. And I do agree.. People sing :D

  • @neboes13 thanks for the nice comment :) much appreciated, i'm happy to see some people out there can still take a joke.

  • Canadian's have the same accent as a lot of Americans.. Maybe not so much from the south, but we arent that different..haha

  • Are you gay? Coz you look like one and you seem interesting.

  • @prncechubby nope, i'm not gay :) but thanks for saying i seem interesting!

  • @prncechubby I'm gay though!!!! I'd love to meet up with you sometime. I pitch, catch, the whole deal! But I prefer to get penetrated! Inbox me!!!

  • OMG CANADIANS DONT SAY ABOOT

or at least most of them don't, I don't

  • I'm English but am not posh at all :)

  • @lorenhall4 haha like... Green Street Hooligans english? :p their accents aren't very "posh" to me, if that's what you mean :)

  • haha Very funny! So Im brazilian who dates a canadian and have lots of american, british and australian friends. I agree with you in most of the topics, even though I still dont here much of the oats from canadians... But yeah, your accent is also very cool, you sound quite drunk..no offence. I wonder what youd think about nonenglish speaker talking in english, Like me. My bf says I still talk quite funny... =)

  • Lol omg I don't say about like the way you say it that sounds Irish to me haha I say more like OUT I'm canadian and I don't really realize we have an accent like the most stereotypical thing I can admit to doing is saying eh ...

  • Canadians have a accent?..

  • @p3nkaryansbelt

GAH. It's "an accent"... not "a accent"!

  • @ChrisPwnzNubz lol oops when I was typing it sounded better with a "a". no need to cry! Just a little misunderstanding

  • @abramovitz18 I am not :) it didn't work out :/ why do you ask?

  • are you still dating a girl? :(

  • @TheJordanpe Haha it's friggen awesome though :D

  • I'm American. I have no idea why our accent sounds how it does.

  • your British accent sounds Australian xD

  • P.s I like your accent it is unique :)

  • I'm constantly hearing people from other countries having a huge problem with our accents. But i mean, that's the way of the world. When the british decided to colonize Canada, they integrated with out native people. So thus, as any accent would, it changes. I fail to understand why other english speaking countries don't realize that there are other countries in the world. And we are no less because of how we talk :S

    From a friendly Canadian

  • @okokwegetit22 well first of all, thank you for being friendly unlike most of the Canadians who comment on this stupid video, secondly, yeah i know what you mean, accents sound different to everyone because there are so many of them. I love accents though, i don't know what the hell i was thinking when i posted this video -_- thanks again for being friendly, much appreciated!! Have a good one!

  • Comment removed

  • That pronounciation for Canadian is more Eastern Canada.

  • Your accent isn't weird, no accent is. They are all interesting and the way each one sounds gives clues as to it's origin, which dates back hundreds or thousands of years. That makes every accent interesting. As for wanting to sound like x, y, or z, there is an expression, "The grass is always greener on the other side." I think that is true of so many things when we think of other countries. Often we prefer their accents and their weather, but if we lived there.. we would think differently.

  • @beautifulnightlock I know i know calm down, jeezzz.... i made this video when i just came to canada and observed the accent, it seemed so different to me. I fuckong hate this video, i was so dumb :( sorry if i offended you

  • oh and we jim carry and mike myers! yeah we'll be clamin' them all! we also got wayne gretzgy to crosby man you can't even bother me by those stupid insults that you guys try to come up with because they suck!

    !

  • yes we say eh! you guys say "hey mon was up?"

  • our canadien accent is way better than the stupid AMERICANS

  • No, Irishmen say "Oot and Aboot"

  • You may be south african but your as ignorant as an american. I have lived in Canada my entire life and we do not speak like that if anything we speak more educatedly than the americans.

  • I'm from Canada and I have to say your pronunciation of "out" was fairly accurate. If I were to say the word slowly, it wouldn't be that exaggerated, but when I speak at a normal pace it does start to sound like "oat".

  • If I had the chance to vote 2 videos off YouTube, I would vote this video off twice. That's how dumb it is.

  • You irritate me and its not your accent...

  • Im from Canada and I have never heard anyone say 'out and about' in that awful oooot n about sound you make. just letting you know. K thanks.

  • @nomnomnom2800 thanks for letting me know!! -_- like every other Canadian who comments on this video. haha

  • @nomnomnom2800 Actually, I think he nails the Canadian "out and about" sound. I've heard many Canadians (and maybe I'm one of them, but I can't tell) say the "ou" sound in a very short clipped manner just like this guy does.

  • @longshanks50 i did over exaggerate a lot though... haha i was really dumb in this video, but thanks for not making a rude comment about me or the video, appreciate it a lot!

  • @nomnomnom2800 , actually I'm from canada . victoria to be accurate , we say it all the time , yeah its not that deep , but still it is kind of deep , cheer up a bit , its something to be proud of , eh ?

  • i cant help but wonder.... but were you recording this in a dungeon!?

  • @TheCoLlInGs07 yeahp :) the dungeon i currently live in is a bit darker though, and a little more isolated, the one i recorded this video in was on a mountaintop, but it got too mainstream so i moved to a dungeon underground. It's quite surreal.

  • @Aice2313 Dude.... THAT SOUNDS AWESOME!! lol

  • Poor impression of a Southern California accent.....

  • I've watched a few of these accent videos; one theme which I find so hilarious is that everyone says 'oh but we don't sound like that' All of you are completely wrong. To you, your accent sounds like nothing. Your brain can't hear it unless your told 'this is your accent' and someone says it, like in these videos. Not a single accent is bad, they are just different. Also, your Sooth Africaan accent seems pretty light, my relatives live there and yours is definitely on the lighter side.

  • I LOVE accents and personaly(being a canadian) dont think we have accents

  • oh my god ok you totally got me that's why i thought your south african accent was really american mixed with a really bad imitation of southern american

  • only some of us sound irish like from the maritmes or like Saskatchewan cause i live in ontario n we dnt d=sound like tht

  • @DropsOfOil you're not the only one who noticed his homosexuality *no offense* but you act REALLY gay

  • @nanoo04 haha wow okay, sorry if i "act" gay, but to tell you the truth, i couldn't care less about your comment because first off it's not true, secondly it's not a bad thing to be or act gay, and thirdly i'm dating a girl you dumbass... anyways, thanks for your opinion on the way i act, i hope it makes you sleep better tonight knowing that you told me i act gay, and fuck you :) have a nice day.

  • I still laugh at this ;D <3

  • @hottie8loves2 awesome! at least you have a sense of humour :) THANKS <3

  • @Aice2313 I always have a sense of humor! :) No problem Anytimee!! :) <3 <3

  • Why do people write negative comments on this video. Cant we all just appreciate how cute this south african's accent is and get along. ps. LuhYouGrant

  • @brandonjay10 well thanks brandon :p (if that's your name!) i appreciate the nice comment, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion so... haters gonna hate i guess :)

  • A) Canadians don't say "oot" or "aboot". Secondly, I know Irish people and they don't say "oot" or "aboot". The way you're stressing the 'ou' sound is completely wrong. In fast talk, Canadians say it more like an 'au' sound than a 'oo' sound. B) This may sound bad of me but with the hand expressions and the tangents you go off on, you speak and act very feminine. If you're homosexual, that's fine, but if you aren't you may want to tone that down. It was the first thing that I saw in the video.

  • @DropsOfOil okay well that's interesting, i don't care what you think to be honest and i don't appreciate you trying to tell me how i should act if i'm straight or gay. and i'm not gay. accents sound different to everyone and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. but thanks for watching the video at least, have a good day

  • @DropsOfOil Do you put drops of oil on your asshole before your homo lover sticks his dick in your ass?

  • @007Fortis I don't have a homo lover but it sounds like you have the details of homosexual sex all sorted out. I'll keep that in mind just in case I ever dump my girlfriend and start going after guys. Thanks for the tip! (no not that tip, don't get your hopes up)

  • @DropsOfOil No problem buddy! Hopefully my butt hole is more pleasurable then your girlfriends herpes infected, loose, canyon vagina. ;)

  • @007Fortis Well thanks for the offer, but by the sounds of it, your butt hole won't be any tighter than the loose canyon vagina I am already working with, but I'm hesitant to switch from her to you because although I have to deal with the herpes (as you claim), I'd much rather have that than the HIV you must have. You sound like you've been around the block so with that many guys doing you in the ass, I'm pretty sure you have that one disease, if not more, by now. If I were you, I'd get tested.

  • @DropsOfOil I just got checked today actually! The doctor stuck his hand in my asshole and said everything was "A-OK!" So I back out on the block, occasionally staring in gay porn films as well! Some include, Raiders of the Lost Asshole. You and your girl friend should get off to it!

  • @007Fortis You got your test results back in one day?! I'm jealous, we (the gf and I) had to wait a pain-staking week before we found out that we had the herp. The doctor could fit his whole hand up there? That's impressive. I'm afraid that even if I take your offer and we get together that you won't feel a thing. I'm not near the size of an entire hand. By the way, I've seen your movie...the storyline and acting were bad but the guys were very impressive. Weren't you also in "Men in-a Black"?

  • @DropsOfOil Yes, well the doctor and I are good friends so he was able to pull some strings, and tug other things if you know what I mean. The doctor is a very small midget though! I was, I was indeed in 'Men in-a Black'! Part two will be out soon, so be sure to check it out!

  • why are you white?!...

and south africa is the same as regular africa?
