  • WoW Julie , you so changed, you so feel confident in front of cam. Maybe you did start drinking Vodka just like me , CHEERS

  • Really nice this etude and nice playing too. Cheers.

  • Hi Julie. Sorry to insist, but I really enjoyed this study of Alexander Vinitisky blues. I could not send him the score for me? Thank you very much! My email is luizdof@gmail.com. Thank you for your attention!

  • hi ! nice work ! can u send tabs ? bless ;)

  • Lindo!!!! Parabéns.......

  • very gook , please look my video

  • its very good, and technically correct. But there is absolutely no "feel." It's like you are a player piano or a midi machine. Sorry, hard to explain, but it is NOT the blues.

  • You nailed beautiful lady. Great job and thank you for posting.

  • Very good as usual Julie ;) Keep the great music flowing. 5 + stars

  • Hi Julie.. Very nice as usual. I notice a new guitar as well .Looks custom? What is it? Spruce top I see!

  • hi, where i can find the score?

    thanks

  • Enjoying myself on here as usual ;)

By the way I noticed you have a new guitar. Didn't like the Ramirez? What guitar is this? Nice sound. Take care!

    =))

  • Very good, Julie. I like your guitar.

  • This is really cool. I feel as though I can learn a lot from just watching this - partly from your playing, but mostly from the piece. (Not to diminish your playing in any way - I really enjoyed it, especially the facial expressions. :-) ) This seems like really great study material for blues guitar technique - a lot of the runs and fills here can be translated to different improvisations. Added this to a playlist, because I'll definitely be coming back.

    Excellent job!

  • I'm playing this right now! :D

  • 참따뜻하고 좋아요. from korea

  • Julie has been a pleasure to hear you, I love what you do, this is beautiful.

I'm Freddy / Thank you for your music.

  • Lovely, Thanks

  • Had you studies music before you picked up the guitar? Your playing is very impressive for someone that has been playing for less than 5 years!

    Bravo!

  • Another beauty as usual Julie ;) Keep up the great work.

  • That was great!!!! Very well played.

  • ブルースなのに楽しくて、こちらまで楽しい雰囲気です。ありがとう!

  • Nice . Wishe you nice xmass and happy new year !

  • Swing-Swing! Very fun! I remember that view of oyster bar in New Orleans.

  • Julie ,

I absolutely love it , nice airy chordal voices and single note riffs !

Also love the ending tremelos , it's the blues , yeah !!!

  • Lovey performance Julie.....Bravo....Festive wishes sent you`re way......Ben

    Jean Jacques

  • beautiful playing.

  • what a nice tune ,well done cant stop my feet tapping

  • Sweet Julie/Julia,

We missed you too. it is very nice to see your smile and waving again. But most of all, great to hear you play this blues. You know, here in Sweden we all got the blues at this time of year. Dark, long, cold days with only the snow and lights from the Christmas trees to lighten our paths. So this (difficult) blues made my day even brighter! Thank you,Mylady.

    Love, H & K,

    Per

  • It is good for me ! Nice !

  • Hi, very nice tone and rhythm which is of course so important for this style. If you were looking for advice I'd say to accent beats 2 and 4. Then it will really start to come alive!

    kind regards,

    Diego

  • Hey Julie,

nice to see you with a new video.... A very cool and relax one!!! I enjoy it! Hug Sarah :-)

  • Very nice rhythm. Try some more blues tunes! But try to play a little more loosely. Let the tune "breath" a little. Listen to some solo Joe Pass to hear what I mean. There are a lot of YouTube videos of him. Also Mimi Fox- she was one of his students; she lives in the East Bay and does a lot of gigs locally. Thanks for sharing.

  • It's delicious Julie !

Really I like your interpretation, I do not feel your blues...but rather your enjoyment of playing . :-)

    Hug

    Daniel

  • 23 to 44 reminds me of my head ticking at Poker in the old days. "Has she...or hasn't she...has she...or hasm't she ...etc".

45 was ..you saying "I got JJ......eat 'em!"

    Peace J.

  • Sounded mighty fine to me Julie, how about a bit of Blind Blake Lass? :-)

    Harry x

  • The rose blossoms into a blues player! nicely worked J.

  • Very Nice!

  • Very Nice!

  • ok

  • So beautiful playing! Keep playing and sharing my dear.

  • Bravo Princess Julie!

What? You can´t play proper blues? I think your second name is Blues :)

Take care Julie Blues - Sabin e-)

  • "proper blues" is an oxymoron, so don't lose sleep over THAT! Do you have a video of the reprimand? At least it wasn't a censure! Verry verry nice, JJ! and I celebrate the return of the wave!

  • nice sound

  • watching again, Julie is that a new guitar ? sounds beautiful ! as beautiful as you and your playing.

  • Julie, I am shoked :-)))) I see that you slowly drow away from classical, that's fun and I love that :-))))))))) bravo for this great bluezzy tune ohhh my I love it , ohhhh yehhhhhh !

    Chris

  • Your progress is amazing ! Sounds great !

  • First jazz, now blues - but I thought you played classical guitar? Very nice job indeed, Julie, and you do sound like a natural blues musician!

    Best wishes from New Mexico,

    James

  • you were reprimanded? i'm sure everyone else in the ensemble was just having trouble keeping up with you ;)

    sounds great!

  • excellent work Julie!! Nice too see you back! What's tha device in front of you, is that a zoom-recorder? Greetings and respect from Holland, Bram

  • Very nice Julie! Great bass line playing - it had me tapping my toes the whole time.

  • Hey Julie! How have you been? I remember having to do the blues scale awhile back for one of my theory classes. I was so captured by the simplicity of it all and it's endless melodies and harmonies. So much so, that I was totally immersed in finding as much blues scales as a could on different positions. You did such an awesome job in this study Julie. You really demonstrated the versatility of the classical guitar with this video. Great job Julie!

    Mel

  • Loved it - great post Julie! What a fun song, and if you are having the blues while playing, you are playing the blues. Also, thank you for introducing me to Alexander Vinitsky - I had never heard of him before, but now that I have listened to a few of his videos, I'm hooked.

  • I'll be humming this now for the rest of the day. Thanks Julie, that was amazing. And just what I needed, we're under a load of snow here in the UK just now!

  • Feliciades Julie :) me encanta ver como prosperas :) debes estar muy contenta y orgullosa :) que pongas mas videos, me encantan. Alfonso.

  • Hola Julie, mi amiga, It is good to see you again. I liked this video very much. The music selection is new to me and very interesting. As always, your performance is excellent, and your prologue made me laugh. Estoy en US para tres semanas entonces vuelvo a CR. La Navidad en CR es magnifico. La vida es buena.

    Pura Vida!

    Ron

  • Julie, you can play the blues! In a clean, polished and refined way maybe, but that's your style - and it's sweet x

Is that a new guitar you are using? Sound like a Michael Thames guitar?

    Cheers,

    William

  • Very cool!! I love the blues!

  • Yep! Having to wake up at 6.30 this morning gave me the blues. But after listening to your performance Julie, the sun came out, grey turned blue, and I'm smiling!

    Vabejassisimo
