Fucking sucks. War came before Pestilence? Bull fucking shit. If you're going to make a game about the Rapture and the Four horsemen AT LEAST know which of the fucking horsemen came first. And tricking War? Have fun trying to trick a fucking divine god.
What I hate about darksiders is that when you beat the game, you lose everything. You can't go back and play your old game, and when you start a new game, you have nothing that it took hours and hours of playing to obtain.
I would like to play a full game without finding that crap again and just enjoy the game. I think that the cluttering of these fighting games with hidden stuff is getting out of hand and taking away from the fun of the hack and slash genre.

The controls are for sure the worst part of this game. Not to mention the platforming and puzzle are so short and brief they could have been left out of the game all together and no one would complain.

In both Hulk and Prototype you can run around like crazy and jump like a maniac, not so much in Darksiders. THQ doesn't make games, they publish. Vigil made this game, it is their first. If you think god of war is repetative then you obviously have not tried any combo moves or special attacks because every other game has the same thing where people only do 1 move. Looks a bit clunky, the whole sidestep/lock on system -It doesn't seem very fluid.
Anyway, can people stop comparing games like this? They've all pioneered their own styles, GoW, DMC, NG etc. It's only expected that newer games will snag the bits that worked from the older series.
The animations look ridged but that doesn't necessarily mean that the controls will feel clunky.
I think the comparisons are valid. A lot of games borrow and copy elements from other games. The creator of Darksiders even hinted that it was like a combination of The Legend of Zelda and God of War. To tell you the truth the control scheme is more geared to resemble The legend of Zeldas combat system.

I'm a PS3 owner and fucking love this game. Fact is God of War is a rip-off of both DMC and PoP. When I played GoW1 I felt like I was playing PoP with a Spartan, it was too "Persian". If you think god of war is repetative then you obviously have not tried any combo moves or special attacks because every other game has the same thing where people only do 1 move. Also towards the no story comment, you are sadly mistaken, god of war is all story and you most likely did not play god of war 1 or did not understand

Looks a bit clunky, the whole sidestep/lock on system -It doesn't seem very fluid.
Anyway, can people stop comparing games like this? They've all pioneered their own styles, GoW, DMC, NG etc. It's only expected that newer games will snag the bits that worked from the older series.

The animations look ridged but that doesn't necessarily mean that the controls will feel clunky.
I think the comparisons are valid. A lot of games borrow and copy elements from other games. The creator of Darksiders even hinted that it was like a combination of The Legend of Zelda and God of War. To tell you the truth the control scheme is more geared to resemble The legend of Zeldas combat system.

lol actually yes. God of War was heavily inspired by Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden, and Mortal Kombat. They actually copy the way some of enemies in Ninja Gaiden fight.

I'm a PS3 owner and fucking love this game. Fact is God of War is a rip-off of both DMC and PoP. When I played GoW1 I felt like I was playing PoP with a Spartan, it was too "Persian". But Darksiders has an amazing sense of identity (if I can say that): itmixes the fantasy world ith the real world in an amazing style, also the combat is really good. PS3 Fanboys can't live with the fact that an hack-'n-slash game can be as good as GoW so they bash until the game fails... -.-

The xbox360 is being used at its max Potential, while the PS3 is not.
In otherwords, your console is weak compared to the ps3.
What is pissing me off is the wait of when they will decide to bring out games and such that will make the ps3 use its max power.

Uncharted 2 uses nearly 100%, one of the Naughty Dog employees (I think the Lead Game Designer) said so.

Yes, hack n' slash is a genre, but the games should be separated. DMC and GOW barely look like eachother, but this game, takes qualities from both, meshes them together, and goes slower.
