He knew to much and to put it bluntly, Putin had him silenced. Litvinenko talked to much and in the eyes of the KGB and Putin betrayed his country. The world is a very dangerous place and if you mess with the wrong people you will be executed. His death was a message, they made sure he died a slow and painful death for all the world to see. And it´s also another factor that makes Putin popular, he looks like a everydayman and people have sympathy for him. Hopefully after this the influence from old KGB will be removed and FSB reformed. Alex Goldfarb have been a true friend too him and the only one besides Zakajev and Berezovskij that havent been selfish.

"Stop your activities" The eastern president don´t want to kill him since Boris was the most important factor to help him win the election in 2000. he tryed to the right thing, spoke the truth,and was willing to end corruption in the russian fsb, and what was the price, he was slience by putin. there are many men like him in the fsb, who shared the same fate as him. litvinenko's death again proves the murderous putin regime, and people are looking in the other direction including russians themselves. he died for your country because he wanted to change things. all he wanted was to bring the people resposible to justice. and you russians that support putin are trading your souls away.
on the other note i can understand why he changed to islam as not many people know the involvement of the KGB in the russian orthodox church.
