Really good! I've played this piece a bit, and I love it! I tend to move around marimba, vibes, glock and xylo though (the very short time when I was borrowing marimba and vibes for my grade 8!)
You really did this in only one month?! I had 2 or 3 months to practice for a little concert (1 time with piano) and it was half as good I think.. How much did you practice a week? I only did once..
!Great work though! ;-)
ps: you should try and play Marimba Flamenca if you had not yet done it, I love that piece
yes... one month! I usually practice about an average of 14 hours a week. I have heard the song Marimba Flamenca before and i really like it too, but my teacher is kinda weird about me playing songs that are too easy for me... ya odd i know!
fasten it up a bit, free parts can be more expressive, biger difference in dynamics will really benefit the piece. but keep up the good work, you'll get there ;)
i'm p;aying this, except with thew first section on marimba, the second on xylophone, the thrid on glock, then back to xylophone. although, im not playing 4 mallet. didn't even know an arrange, ent for 4 mallets existed!
was pretty good but in the opening section you need to put more expression, and throughout the whole piece there needs more personality because its really obvious you have only learned the notes and not the actual musicality of the piece. but then it is a very hard piece to play so well done for trying
thank you for your comment! that was a year ago and i only had that song for a month. I have improved it since then and I am planning on recording it later this year.
Wait! One month? Then that is a great effort! As it happens, I came across this because I wanted to hear other performances of it, as I'm playing this for my Higher exam (I live in Scotland land), which is a couple of weeks away...
What is interesting, I find, is that the fluffs you made here are very similar to the ones I frequently make (although, my version's written differently in places). So I've now realized what parts to focus on! So, thank you for this video! It's already helped me! :)
Yes. One month. Have you ever heard of Evelyn Glennie? I'm sure you have, being from Scotland and all. That is where I got the idea for trying this peice!
I'm glad that my mediocre video of this song helped you! Good luck!
I like the version of Yoko Inue much better then Evelyn glennie.
Glennie always hits notes brutaly this Yoko Inue makes music of it!
her version is in the related videos Csardas posted by davidyukon.
Great marimbaplaying!

Good job mate. But you tend to have cuts in between your notes in the fast parts. But overall you did a great job. Nice dress BTWs!

can`t wait to hear u play again! :) although the "ragtim-ish" (where the piano plays the do so do so part) could be faster.. :)
