OIL CHANGE intervals: Most people change their oil too often. I repair vehicles professionally and change mine in Oct and Mar or 5000 miles but I have an older vehicle. Most of the new cars and trucks have an oil change monitor and can to easily over 15,000 miles if it is mostly highway. It needs to be done before winter so you have fresh oil for the cold cranking. A recent government report stated that over a billion barrels of oil would be saved yearly if peorple followed the owner's manuals.

Hey Cat, as far as your paints go; after a few years that stuff starts to turn to concrete in the tubes, weather you were doing oils or acrylics. So you're really not out any money by having to go and re-buy them all. Your old stuff was toast, so don't sweat it.

I always track the flight of someone I'm picking up and leave when they are getting close. I know they have trackers on iphone that you can put the flight number in on... Just fyi ;)

In modern cars, you really only need to change your oil every 5000 miles, even though some manuals say 3000 or 3500. If you use synthetic oil, you can go even longer between changes, 6500 or so. In really hot weather though, subtract 1000 miles from these numbers. Just a helpful hint that'll save you some money.. :)
