  • One question I do have is what about 10mA RCDs and performing a loop test?

  • @5342abc As with all loop testers, and multifunction testers, you cannot test through a 10mA RCD without tripping it due to the fact that the loop test current is 15mA.

    The loop test current would need to be below 5mA to prevent tripping a 10mA RCD and experiments have shown that loop testers would struggle to give reliable readings at such a low current.

    So as in the old days before non-tripping loop testers were invented you will have to bypass or remove the RCD.
