@99sd3763 Hmmm...I can play the intro so I can mail you the tabs for that if you want? To sum it up briefly, well you're in drop d (surprise surprise) so play the low D string open, then the g and d, then start fretting notes on the low D. When it gets to the higher bit the strings you're picking are g, high e and b and the heigh e and b are left open.. Might help you to figure it out!
I'd say "...and with the scissor kick is victorious" and "it's always the quiet ones". Concerning albums, I think "Infinity Land" has their 'hardest' songs (Glitter And Trauma, ere's No Such Thing As A Jaggy Snake, The Kids From Kible And The Fist Of Light)
surely all the b-sides should be released on some sort of compilation cd at some point? they are absolutely insane songs, can't even understand why they wouldn't get a proper release in the first place.
the first couple of lines are basically just lyrics from 'get fucked stud' though, arent they? im not complaining or anything, just wondered.
A lot of their fans already own all their singles and therefore have all the b-sides. It's nice to have a full collection of a bands music and a b-sides compilation maybe would take the fun out of it for some people
@skaforlife69 You mention about lyrics being similar, I thought the lyrics "i'm a clown, you're a theif" from their B-side Hermaphrofight really, really sound similar to a song and I can't think what it is, I could be wrong though. But yeah, definitely should release them, they are so good.
@bezlovesbiffyclyro I think you mean "Love has a Diameter" off of puzzle... anyway, it's my favorite puzzle song along with Semi-Mental (if it weren't for semi-mental, I wouldn't have looked up all the rest and wouldn't have gotten to listening to blackened sky)
@luizfmaf@luizfmaf Yeah, I kicked myself after. Just had a complete block! Nice of you to reply though. Great song though, wonderful melodies, one of my favourite ballad-type songs of Biffy's
Yeah, definitely one of their best. I love the start stop thing where Simon says you com-plete me! My favourite is probably now the action is on fire though. Quite epic.

@kilnamartyrasnowmob Ahhh... okay... that actually makes much sense. Played in a similar way to Stars and Shites.
Cheers, I'll give this a shot and see how far I get.
The end sounds like just power chords in drop D, with octaved chords in between and some simple scales. You reckon that sounds about right?
99sd3763 1 year ago
@99sd3763 Yeah when I started to work it out it reminded me a lot of Stars and shites too. Let's have a race to work out the whole song!

@kilnamartyrasnowmob Sounds good haha... I got the whole first bit down last night. You were right, and yea it is just like S&S.
Just need to keep at the end riff... might write the whole thing out as a tab this weekend XD Thanks for getting me started there...

but can anyone steer me as far away from Machines as possible

as far as b-sides are concerned...

Hardcore Old school biffy fan here x] No such thing as a jaggy snake is their best song, it just SUMS Biffy Clyro up for me.

Watch the camden barfly gig on youtube.the best biffy gig on this and the best quality.
dockeyboy 2 years ago 3
somehow biffy are the most "biffy" (like oldschool biffy) in their instrumental parts. Unfortunately they are always quite short on puzzle.
Don't get me wrong i like simons voice but i love when he spazzes out on the guitar...
GivenWillingly 2 years ago 3
You seem to know biffy quite well,
Could you direct me to either similar songs to this or their heavier attempts?
I like songs like Who's Got A Match
but it's a bit to close to boring and quiet for my liking...
mjwoodworth 2 years ago
why do you keep putting thumbs down for that dude! ok he should of bought the single but at least he is tryin to listen to biffy!

i prefer most of the b-sides to the album stuff!! (hey, the albums rule). many a b-side compilation i have made for the car.
whiteleyvon 3 years ago
i really like less the product. you could make a best of album out of biffys b sides! Does this song remind anyone else of mogwai?
kilnamartyrasnowmob 3 years ago
It reminds of mogwai indeed
prominator 3 years ago
Personally i think miracle of survival is their best b-side.
This is sick, i bet this wouldn't have gone down so well with puzzle only fans.
