  • Someone please tab this song and I'll be your best friend forever.

  • @99sd3763 Hmmm...I can play the intro so I can mail you the tabs for that if you want? To sum it up briefly, well you're in drop d (surprise surprise) so play the low D string open, then the g and d, then start fretting notes on the low D. When it gets to the higher bit the strings you're picking are g, high e and b and the heigh e and b are left open.. Might help you to figure it out!

  • @kilnamartyrasnowmob Ahhh... okay... that actually makes much sense. Played in a similar way to Stars and Shites.

Cheers, I'll give this a shot and see how far I get.

The end sounds like just power chords in drop D, with octaved chords in between and some simple scales. You reckon that sounds about right?

  • @99sd3763 Yeah when I started to work it out it reminded me a lot of Stars and shites too. Let's have a race to work out the whole song!

  • @kilnamartyrasnowmob Sounds good haha... I got the whole first bit down last night. You were right, and yea it is just like S&S.

Just need to keep at the end riff... might write the whole thing out as a tab this weekend XD Thanks for getting me started there...

  • @kilnamartyrasnowmob arn't biffy in drop C or C sharp

  • I like how the b-sides have lyrics that ended up on the album (or vice versa I guess)

  • Coward's up, someone posted it!

  • From 3:20

    That riff is mint.

  • This song is easy to tab out.

  • tab and put it on the net then :)

  • to given willingly

Forgot to mention i like the little bridge spaz in Who's Got A Match,

but can anyone steer me as far away from Machines as possible

  • as far as b-sides are concerned...

I'd say "...and with the scissor kick is victorious" and "it's always the quiet ones". Concerning albums, I think "Infinity Land" has their 'hardest' songs (Glitter And Trauma, ere's No Such Thing As A Jaggy Snake, The Kids From Kible And The Fist Of Light)

  • Thanks Man, Thats a big help!

  • Hardcore Old school biffy fan here x] No such thing as a jaggy snake is their best song, it just SUMS Biffy Clyro up for me.

  • Yes!

  • Watch the camden barfly gig on youtube.the best biffy gig on this and the best quality.

  • somehow biffy are the most "biffy" (like oldschool biffy) in their instrumental parts. Unfortunately they are always quite short on puzzle.

Don't get me wrong i like simons voice but i love when he spazzes out on the guitar...

  • You seem to know biffy quite well,

Could you direct me to either similar songs to this or their heavier attempts?

I like songs like Who's Got A Match

but it's a bit to close to boring and quiet for my liking...

  • why do you keep putting thumbs down for that dude! ok he should of bought the single but at least he is tryin to listen to biffy!

  • 2.25 - 2.38... get in!! always nice to hear a bit of Shellac creeping in :D

  • surely all the b-sides should be released on some sort of compilation cd at some point? they are absolutely insane songs, can't even understand why they wouldn't get a proper release in the first place.

the first couple of lines are basically just lyrics from 'get fucked stud' though, arent they? im not complaining or anything, just wondered.

  • A lot of their fans already own all their singles and therefore have all the b-sides. It's nice to have a full collection of a bands music and a b-sides compilation maybe would take the fun out of it for some people

  • @skaforlife69 You mention about lyrics being similar, I thought the lyrics "i'm a clown, you're a theif" from their B-side Hermaphrofight really, really sound similar to a song and I can't think what it is, I could be wrong though. But yeah, definitely should release them, they are so good.

  • @bezlovesbiffyclyro I think you mean "Love has a Diameter" off of puzzle... anyway, it's my favorite puzzle song along with Semi-Mental (if it weren't for semi-mental, I wouldn't have looked up all the rest and wouldn't have gotten to listening to blackened sky)

  • @luizfmaf @luizfmaf Yeah, I kicked myself after. Just had a complete block! Nice of you to reply though. Great song though, wonderful melodies, one of my favourite ballad-type songs of Biffy's

  • can anyone at all post coward for me?

    please please please!

    please?

  • Sorry, don't have access to the internet at home at the moment so i've been using net cafés for a while so unfortunately i can't help you.

  • Try Spotify, I think they have it.

  • I like how they reference lyrics from their other songs in the B-sides, it's very clever =)

  • any one know were i could get the b sides...i cant find them anywere

  • Oh would you please send me this one! thought I had all the puzzle b-sides but aperently not. awesome tune!

    mon the biffy

  • i prefer most of the b-sides to the album stuff!! (hey, the albums rule). many a b-side compilation i have made for the car.

  • i really like less the product. you could make a best of album out of biffys b sides! Does this song remind anyone else of mogwai?

  • It reminds of mogwai indeed

  • Personally i think miracle of survival is their best b-side.

This is sick, i bet this wouldn't have gone down so well with puzzle only fans.

  • this is a tune this is totaly the opposite of gte fucked stud. love it

  • i will post coward asap! or maybe you could post it if i email it to you? i'm not great at this stuff! coward is sooooooo amazing

  • will someone please post coward for me if i mail it to them?!

  • anyone believe that strung to your ribcage is their best song? (one of their best...)

  • Yeah, definitely one of their best. I love the start stop thing where Simon says you com-plete me! My favourite is probably now the action is on fire though. Quite epic.

  • all the way down (pt 2) is probably my all time fav, but i'm a major fan of their B-sides. Coward is a true classic...

  • i haven't heard coward. from folding stars yeah? any chance you could post it?
