I love hearing the language and am doing my best to learn a little; but I can read a word in

German or Spanish or Italian and pronounce it; Irish spelling is hard.

As much as learning Irish in school bores me, it really is such a beautiful and romantic language.

@AOCMALLOW i fuc*in hatet it irish in meanscoil too ....but look at how european countries learn englsih .... ... then look at our sysetm for teaching Irish?? ... i think the Department of Education should write a textbook called "how NOT to teach a language". ... if your actually interested in learning how to SPEAK the lnguage your better off watching SpongeBob as gaeilge on tg4 than listening to your teacher.... Though you might not get as much points in the LCt that way..... stopid systrem
