timferg - If you look above the vibes you'll see two stereo overhead mics.

If the bass player wasn't in the isolation booth the sound to those mics would be completely muddied up.

That's why they're both wearing cans (no 'hats') to hear each other playing as foldback.

I must add the recorded sound and both playing are excellent.
