  • I MISS ONE MAN PARADE :(

  • I think the drummer is my hero, not just because he's a boss, but because his set is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles themed.

  • also: this is better than Bruno Mars' song about loafting around

  • guitar and sax solo trade FTW

  • Comment removed

  • Interesting blend of styles, I'm enjoying your sound quite a bit, I think I enjoy this more than Muse... O.o (I know... Someone chew me out) - Jesse

  • Anyone know what kind of mic he has on his snare?

  • its messy

  • @Psycheplay If you say so. I think the better word is "natural." Don't forget it's a LIVE studio recording, like playing a live show. I don't know too many bands that are flawless playing live like they are in their recordings where they have months to record to perfection. I'd say these guys are pretty darn close.

  • they just sound like typical hipster music to me.

  • they need a secondary cam on the drummer at all times

  • how... how did I not know of this band sooner? holy smokes.

  • love it

  • I think these guys really have what it takes to "hit" in the pop scene.

  • @Ergodyne187 Maybe, and they probably won't mind because it would help "pay the bills." I think what helps them is that they're not after the "pop" scene so if they did hit it there it would be by chance. They just want to make great music. If they were after pop they would have remained as This Day And Age.

  • @Ergodyne187 They are too amazing for the pop scene. I don't think the masses can enjoy amazing music like this as much as I would love for them to be as successful as possible! They are one of my favorite bands!

  • @AlexMNet Well, these guys remind me a lot of early O.A.R. if you were to replace some horn with a piano. I don't think something can be "too amazing for the pop scene". If that were so, nothing to have ever come from pop culture would have ever lasted. ROK has what it takes to make it big is all I was trying to say.

  • @Ergodyne187 I agree with what you are saying. They definitely have what it takes. When I think of pop I think of lady gaga, Britney sprears etc. ROK's music is much more complex. With all the watered down music in the pop scene I just find it hard to see them fit within those types of artists.

  • @AlexMNet Well, Perhaps the wouldn't fit in with the current pop scene. However; if the scene shifts back to liking actual music like DMB and OAR. They will be one of the first new hot acts.

  • @Ergodyne187 I totally agree with you! The music scene has changed soo much. Back in the day people actually enjoyed good music. Its no much about the music these days anymore in pop. I love DMB by the way but I haven't heard too much OAR. I should definitely check them out again because its seems like you have great taste in music!

  • @Ergodyne187 DMB? OAR? not up on the band acronyms. In my opinion the term "actual music" should be used loosely.

  • @AlexFoeNZ I totally understand that "music" in terms of its actuality can be as simplex as a drum beating quarter notes in 4/4, but these guys are a thousand times beyond that; and that is all I was trying to say.

DMB=Dave Matthew's Band. (What I was getting at was noting the similarities between the two bands; they both create songs with good hooks and choruses. The kind of songs that make people happy no matter what is being sung about.)

    OAR=Of a Revolution. {Check out their early stuff}

  • Not to be a purist and say stuff like "the new guy can't play as good as Kelly did," because after all, he is the one who wrote those piano riffs. This new dude is doing a bang up job learning these songs so props to him. My gripe is that he's using an electric piano instead of a grand piano, which gave it such a thicker and more authentic sound.

  • @ShadowCrowX Not his fault. For some reason the studio got rid of tha piano. Had Kelly still been there he would have been forced to use elecs as well. Good comment though. The real thing is always better.

  • WAY to much talent for my brain to comprehend

  • 0:55 two redbulls and a bottle of water.... what else do u need to appear alive??

  • i want that piano player to walk round behind me and do the sound track to my life, hes awsome =p

  • Cant touch those drums

  • 3:07 man, this is not you amp! hiting it won't make your sound work again!

    lol

great band, they're on my favorite list of bands now.

  • credits to the Red Bull ;)

  • can i Thumbs it up TWICE? i think i jst did bt it didnt work lol

  • compared to the amazing music these guys produce, their band name sucks ass

  • @whoamancool Do you know the story behind their name? It's actually pretty cool, imo.

  • @jalojalka no, and i can't find the story anywhere.. please do tell

  • Comment removed

  • just had a braingasm over the drummer, singer, and the song in general, i was lookin for a different song that i heard on the radio and im glad i didnt find it before this bomb exploded onto my screen and out my speakers, fucking unbelivable its like a day at the beach

  • wow, i was looking for a different song and i found this instead and all i can say is, "so much for whatever else i was looking for." they're AMAZING!

  • I WANT A VIDEO FOR BATTLING THE YEARS!!!!!!1

  • Drummer is fucking tasteful.

  • i think i'd like the song better with chords on piano for MOST of the song instead of the piano shadowing the vocals

  • Someone get that man at least a baby grand!

  • @basstremor How 'bout we all get them a baby grand by telling all our friends about them, then they'll tell their friends, then they'll all buy the band's CDs and then the band will afford a baby grand. Until then, rock on, Kindo.

  • @GumballMachine13 troll much? or just deaf mehbeh?

  • @TehNerdHerd more like opinion

  • @GumballMachine13 That was great! Probably the funniest comment I've read in a long time.

  • @GumballMachine13 you are a silly human

  • @GumballMachine13 Idk man I think he fits the music perfectly. I can't imagine who's voice other than his that would sound good over this music.

  • @GumballMachine13 His singing is superb, and that's an understatement. He maybe goes flat twice in this entire performance, which is impressive for the fact of how vocally demanding this piece is. He also jumps from natural voice to falsetto with no problem, which is something I can say for many other male vocalists in the music scene today.

You sir, need to understand your music better before you comment.

  • Epic keyboardist is Epic.

  • The musicianship of every single one of these artists drops my jaw on every performance - Well done!

  • Your voice is like Colbie Caillat and John Legend had a baby..and that baby's voice was awesome

  • @mistakern So true. I didn't even put the John Legend in there until I read that.

  • Truly awesome! Im a 50yo drummer really depressed with the state of music in America these days. Its to bad quality like this gets no airplay. Amazing and inspiring drumming.

  • the way they play together reminds me of the mars volta even tough their styles is very different, anyway i love them.

  • this band is phenomenal. that is all

  • that guitar/sax dual solo at the bridge is KING!!! 2:11

Reign of Kindo's songs are like music to my ears.

  • Im not sure if it is only coincidence, but every song I have listened to so far sounds exactly the same. Fast-paced drumming with chaotic overlapping melody/rhythm. No doubt that these guys are incredibly talented, but are they a versatile band? I haven't found any mellow or relaxed songs that aren't drum driven and I really want to like TROK, but band's without eclectic style don't have longevity in my cd player.

Point me in the right direction please.

  • @helenkellerx06x OK, you've had two days, so I'm sure you've found what you were looking for in Kindo's music. If you haven't, then you either didn't look, or you're retarded. Please, I'm not calling you a retard, only if you've looked and didn't find. Besides the slow songs on rpoland's list, try "Let It Go" by Kindo. Hope this helped.

  • @helenkellerx06x Flowers by the Moon, Breathing Again, Great Blue Sea, Soon It Shall Be... I think they all have very diverse bases, but the drum is very pronounced in their sound, like the piano, it's always gonna be kinda in your face.

  • @helenkellerx06x listen to one man parade, rythm, chord & melody (the song), city lights and traffic sounds, let it go, nice to meet you, soon it shal be, something in the way that you are and breathe again.

Those are most of the songs that aren't alike to your description :P, and all of them have a very special touch

  • Two very good Christmas songs by TROK, Oh Holy Night & What Child id This. Just type in "Kindo Christmas" in the search bar.

  • These fellows have the magic and spin it off as gold-dust to our ears and skin...I love them...fantastic musicians. Keep with it guys...you've got it.

  • 3:00 even...poetry in motion...

  • @rpoland YOU FORGOT TO MENTION THAT THE SHOWS ARE 21+!!!!!

  • @rpoland any chance they are coming to the DC area? Just discovered them, they are awesome!!!

  • There are no word to describe this amazingness.

  • Out of sight, out of mind, cast down the halls of the blind.

  • absolutly amazing i love everything candy rat produces im glad i found you guys, its so hard to find real music nowadays thank you at candy rat and bravo reign of kindo.

  • dude!!!!!!! that drummer looks like he took 20 redbulls. either that or he's just plain awesome . yeh........ i think he's just plain awesome. :P

  • @guitarheromaniaco5

he's fuckin' awesome to be sure, and keeps an amazing beat.

But see 0:37 hahahaha. Now I know where to find the melodic edge. ;]

    Love this band. <3

  • phenomenal drummer

  • @zwalrus1 indeed, indeed he is

  • @zwalrus1 the fact that he can do songs like this and the thrill of fall and sing at the same time blows my mind

  • @Ttttommy2 And, if you saw him last week on Letterman, he added keyboards along with the singing & drumming

  • That was one hell of a saxophone player. Whenever I thought this song couldnt be better he comes out and sets the bar. Best band of the century right here.

  • @TriviumFan15 thanks for the kind words :) (nelson the sax player)

  • @nmrivera32 Hey man you ripped that solo, I mean I give props where they are due and you blew me away with that lick you came out with. And you were insane in bullets in the air too, just incredible. My sister has been playing sax for 13 years now and she comes nowhere close to your level. Keep up the good work and play on man.

  • This band is full of awesomeness.

The drummer keeps blowing my mind everytime I see a new video.

I think I've just jizzed my pants for the 100th time.

  • Whenever i'm asked whose singing voice I would like to have, it is now answered as this guy

  • This band is lucky to have such a talented singer. not to mention that they're all reaaallly good

  • look at the names and instrument list. I love how sax is playing the Nelson Rivera

  • this is a TALENTED BAND. this performance was unbelievable!

  • I'm amazed there are 8 thumbs down for this video. Why? I mean, 420 thumbs up overwhelmingly outweighs that, but WTF? This is damn near perfect!

  • very beautiful song

musicians of a very high level,

    Vocals liked

I apologize for the bad language skills=)

  • Too awesome.

  • @rpoland HOUSTON TEX!!!!!!!!!!!!! COME ON!

  • I love how this song is about the hectic world we live in; people are always in a rush to get from one moment to another, and this song is just a reminder that, as human beings, we have the right to slow down, take it easy and reconnect with eternity.

  • I die.

    Giulia

  • Come to vegas please!

  • northstar shirt, of the band? :O

    nice one man

  • excellent!!!!!!!!!

  • Well I now know they like red bull

  • I love how the dude with the saxophone comes out of nowhere.

  • Comment removed

  • what amps do TRoK use ? they have a great tone to them

  • I thought this was going to be a Wilco cover.

  • i actually hate singers and most bands in genral (i like instrumental and classical music) but this band blows me away it really has something for everyone and is the only band i like they are so musicly talented and work together how a band should unlike most bands these days this is a 1 in a 1000000000 find rpoland you defo made the right move getting these guys

  • @ox0Jason0xo they really did, they made the best deal getting them to sign to the label =D!

  • @ox0Jason0xo everything that rpoland endorses is 1 in a 10000000 lol...however, ironically, rpoland itself is 1 in a 10000000

  • @ox0Jason0xo whats wrong with singing? Assuming its not done horribly it can only serve to add another dimension to the music. Like mars volta for example, bands can respect both aspects easily. The problem is pop culture and its expectations.

  • @alphaguitar2 my problem with singing is it forces an image of a song when a band works hard to create a type of sound, a singer sings over it no matter how well or not it then makes the bands efforts of creating an aura lets say around the song totally pointless and all emotion and images of the song become what the singer is singing about and unless the singer wrote the whole song the feeling of the song would be totally irrenlivant thus pop music and electronic pop music exsists

  • @ox0Jason0xo Uh, I guess that's why there are vocal bands, and there are instrumental bands. This way we can pick what we like most & enjoy. Or, we can listen to both and appreciate the magic that is instrumental music, and vocal music.

  • @ox0Jason0xo I guess alot of it is in the way you perceive art when taking it in. Besides, a good songwriter can always leave plenty of room for interpretation in the lyrics anyways. That way it doesn't seem like it has such a predefined meaning and can take its own emotional course just as instrumental music would.

  • @ox0Jason0xo Check out the song "Of Course We've All Seen The Sun" by This Day & Age. This was the band that later became The Reign of Kindo. It's mostly instrumental with just a few words. It might be what you would like.

  • @ThePadintor thats a cool song and although i love intrumental more normally you cant try sound like this band and not be this band, after hearing this........... i just want this they are a perfect band

  • All of these guys are insanely talented, and I'm inspired by every single one of them. There's a reason that they're my all-time favorite band (and I've listened to a LOT of bands).

  • Yeah this would be the perfect first song to learn for drums. lol...

  • Allsome they r great

  • awesome album review on the main page of ultimate guitar.

    nice job, Kindo.

  • lol whats the guitarist doing at 3:07?

  • @Anonymchen hitting a conga lol

  • The keyboard player has HD280s on and the percussionist has HD202s on right? Sennheiser fans (Y)

  • great quality , really great quality ... but ... kill the drummer ... compleyely out of genre

  • @daxweb fuck genre, he weaves whatever it is well into this song

  • @ShadowCrowX He play completely alone!!!!

Part of the fault is in the mix...che hit-hat is too "in-front"...

The drummer don't leave breath the song.....

the dynamic in a song are very important.

  • @daxweb picky picky aren't we

  • @daxweb i can't help but disagree with you.. they are going for a latin jazz feel with the song. the drums fit perfectly. as an experienced drummer... this guy is legit. every song he kills it.

  • @malikamakamuki agreed, but i just missed the last guy, his style was better than this guys in my opinion

  • @biggybote I hear you. Kelly was a beast and I'll allways love his playing. This new guy I'm sure is good or else Kindo wouldn't have him playing. But I'll wait 'till he gets to plasy stuff that he writes. I'm sure he'll be much more comfy.

  • holy balls the drummer kicks major butt

  • The new piano player needs to more intense like the last guy.

  • @biggybote The last guy played smooth without showing any intensity. He only showed intensity when he sang. The new guy does not sing, so you can say he plays with the same intensity as the last guy. For having to learn someone else’s music in such short time I’d say he did really well.

  • Absolutely amazing.

  • fantastic voice, incredible sound, as usual

  • Those are some talented mo-fos!! Keep it comin'!

  • composition, arrangement, presentation - brilliant as always.

    high-level mind-blowing

  • you guys try to do way too much...but then you freaking nail it! Probably one of the best groups around at the moment.

  • wow!!!!

  • i love this tune. it's really unique

  • great tune!

  • Drummer dude is freaking awesome!!

  • fucking TIGHT right there

  • 3:28

  • YEAH

  • Very very impressive to think that Danny (new piano player) had so little time to learn Kelly's (old piano player) parts on that piano and he did a real decent job. Can't wait to see what he can do when he writes his own stuff.

  • HAMMER

  • latino music influence , amasing , great drum beats

  • sounds like the intro to mysterio?

  • Maroon 5 goes to Tortise musik skewel?

    Good stuff, tho.

  • there's something about the busyness of this band that just keeps me from totally digging their sound. They're talented dudes, no doubt about it, I guess I just can't get over the busyness; the saturation of sound. The beauty in music is the space not occupied.

  • @masterexploder83 Oh no, my good fellow. You need to look at the versatility of this band. They have songs where busyness is in order and they have songs where they chill. Don’t look at one nit wit’s comment and run with it. Give them a listen and you’ll be surprised.

  • @malikamakamuki I have listened to a few of their tunes, but only the ones from these videos. I definitely try to give them a good chance, and the benefit of the doubt, so I do listen to the whole song. Don't get me wrong, I think they're talented, and they do what they do well. I haven't heard their more chill pieces. Which song do you recommend? As far as nit wits go, they can keep their comments. I only write what I think.

    Respect.

  • @masterexploder83 so your saying you like the silence in the music? that makes no sense whatsoever. might as well not listen to it since you like when its not playing...

  • @volcomdrummer21 I actually said nothing about "silence" in music. "Space not occupied" does not equate silence. If I liked silence I wouldn't be on youtube, or listening to music in the first place. Maybe I just think these guys need a bit more restraint in their sound; a little more focus in their grooves. They have really cool musical ideas, and they're super talented, I just think it needs further refinement.

You might as well stop putting your foot in your mouth

    peace

  • @masterexploder83 it wouldn't make much sense to show a lot of restraint on a song like this. if you took the time to listen to the lyrics, you would realize that it's a song about how fast the world moves and how difficult it is to find the time to catch your breath and rest, so it fits to have a frantic rhythm accompanied by a driven melody to anchor the tune.

  • @masterexploder83 they sound how they want

  • @green727 Yeah, they should sound how they want. I guess my previous comments were pretty confusing, unfortunately. I definitely don't think they should change what they do just to make me happy. I think the music industry needs more artists like these guys. They're expressing themselves, making positive music, and playing honestly. That's awesome, and I think they should definitely keep it up. It's only my opinion, and obviously, it's not shared by their fan base. But, that's cool too.

  • @masterexploder83 gotcha, i understand what you meant now and definitely respect it

  • @green727 respect

  • I've been waiting for this for soooo long, and finally it's here, and it's better than I expected!!, why they are so good?

  • Pitch perfect

  • Omg, bassist have no long beard now :(

Anyway, they sound great as always!

  • @Gwiynher I was thinking the same thing.

  • these guys are awesome...

  • 1:04 Powered by red bull

  • these guys are amazing. these are the kind of musicians that should be on the radio making millions. Death to American Idol!

  • @xMrBumpyx i disagree...music on the radio is for squares, lets keep good music hard to find i say.

  • @doublebeat584 I C your point, but I think unless bands like this get better known, they're probably not making the money they need to do this for a living. They might have 2 or 300, 000 views on youtube, but I'll bet only 1% actually bought their cds. Then if they do get on the radio, they'll be called "sell-outs." Tough spot to be in.

  • @xMrBumpyx Money corrupts music, though. I'd rather they stay obscure yet well-known enough to live comfortably. No one - especially musicians - needs millions.

  • @L1ving3legy very well said.

  • @L1ving3legy I also can say, very well said. However, you say no one needs millions, but I hope you do not begrudge anyone if they have millions. As long as they made it honestly, I say good for them. As far as musicians, we have lousy obnoxiuos musicians who because of fame think they are credible sources to talk about world issues, yeah, it sucks that they're raking in millions. But if a dumb public follows them, then I guess more power to them.

  • @L1ving3legy Is not about earning millions, is about having what they deserve. And this is money to continue doing what they like to do (playing) and having a good life. They are diferent, they are great and one of the best bands we all have heard. And they deserve a good live.

  • HOW are these guys not big time yet? >.<!!! love it, keep it up!!!!!

  • Wow. They're good

  • I dig it. I really dig it.
