This seems entirely plausible now when he returns and he realizes how he felt when Lois was engaged to Oliver in the alternate universe. SQUEEEE!!

@ElenaSalvatore1000 The fact she doesn't have a wedding ring in that ep doesn't mean anything. They can take it off at work (some companies don't allow relationships between co-workers), Clark could have send it to clean or make some excuse for Lois not to wear it that day (Future Clark had gone through it and wanted to make sure that Past Clark would have the same experience, so he made something up and she didn't wear it).

@tua33915 No, no, I really think the engagement is coming up on Icarus. There's a poll over at E! from Watch With Kristin where she's saying that one of the couples mentioned is getting engaged and the ep where they do airs in December. Clois is one of the 3 remaining couples and Icarus DOES air in December... Not to mention it's the mid-season finale, I think they'd want to get that done before the hiatus of the final episodes (just a thought). Yup, I also think the suit's coming in the end too
