Listen to XM-radio lots of Shangrilas!!! I love their music to this day, I loaned my album to my best friend in 1968 and NEVER GOT IT BACK!!! Oh well now I have itunes. /)

I was born in the 80's, but my parents listened music like this all the time, as a result i love music of the 60's. They just don't make music like this anymore!! The Shangri-Las are awesome~~~!!

God the B-52`s took so much from bands like this. Matter of fact I think the 1st video the B`s ever made "Rock Lobster" Kate and Cindy were dressed just like this, right down to the same suits.

I always thought the greatest songs always have humor in them or a touch of humor, and this proves it. Even though it`s corny as hell it`s still great. The same with movies, this is why the later Star Wars films made in 2000`s were horrible. George Lucas took out all the humor that the first 3 he made in the late `70`s to 80`s had. He took himself too seriously. It`s freaking entertainment, that`s all. Maybe bands like Coldplay, which I consider the worst out there, should consider.

I was also lucky enough to be there in the 60s when the girls did these shows. They're all pretty, but Mary's my favorite. When I was a young teenager watching this on TV, my heart used to take a leap and skip a beat too. Every time the camera zoomed in on Mary's beautiful face. All I wanted to do was kiss her and kiss her, and kiss her some more. I was so crazy for her. And I was 13. Wow!

And I love the way the girls do the Muhuw, when they throw the kiss. Actually that was something that was very 60s. You don't see that today.

I just love the energy and enthusiasm that Mary, Liz, Marge and Mary Ann put into this set. The Shangri-las remind me of how lucky I am to have heard them when they were making these hits in '64 and '65. They shall live forever in my heart! Rock on girls!
